I cant explain the positive vibes I got here when I visited this place after a very long time. I used do group song here in my school days, it remember me everything, nice and one of my favourite place, multiple functions happened here in a month, amazing place for those who are seeking positive vibes in their lives

Named after Rabindranath Tagore, Indias Nobel laureate, Tagore Theatre, being the sole theatre in Chandigarh for a long time, had become an important hub of cultural activities for the citizens of Chandigarh. Now it has been converted into an auditorium

Tagore Theater in Sector 18, is one of Chandigarhs most popular Art and Music destination. It has a seating capacity of about 1000. Cushioned seats, clean premisis, central AC, a decent cafeteria are some of the features. The green rooms are also very well designed. The seating arrangements are made according to Covid SOPs. The sound system and acoustics are world class. It is one of my happy places.

A very good theatre..Majorly for cultural shows and Artistic activities..A well known place..Nicely build..seats are enough and good..Stage is all clean and set .There are enormous washrooms and also canteen inside..

Tagore Theatre at Chandigarh is awesome place, the environment outside the auditorium is very pleasent. The exterior construction was of unique , glassy structure is very beautiful. Seating capacity of the theatre is considerably high, as well as the acoustic is excellent. It is a nice and pleasent experience to watch a cultural program here. Only minus point is its unprofessionally managed Cafeteria.

One of the oldest buildings of Chandigarh, Tagore Theatre go renovated in 2008. The ambience is good here. There is a mini as well as a main theatre. All types of art and cultural activities take place here. The seating and lighting are comfortable. You can also rent Tagore Theatre at Rs. 50,000 for 4 hrs. The architecture is world class.

I haven’t seen much of it... but from what I hear it’s an important cultural n social centre for the people of Chandigarh. Most of the city important cultural events are organised here. Awesome greenery around n great ambience.

It’s a heritage theatre for chandigarh’s little history. I have watched multiple plays, programs conducted by my father’s bank here.The place has been organizing lot of cultural events, dance music competitions, comedy shows etc over the years. Though seating capacity is not that huge but then there aren’t much theatre options in the city.

Tagore Theater is a nice place and is well maintained. Many plays and concerts are organized here. Many notable artists have also preformed at Tagore Theater.

It is basic art of our life

Renovated in 2008 this Tagore Theater is one of the prime performing arts spaces of Chandigarh. Seating, acoustics, stage lights are good. The foyer has a small but nice collection of theatre posters. The cafeteria is also functional during programmes. There is also a very good black box theatre and two rehearsal spaces.

Amazing architecture, easy to find out while traveling and real good programs happen here. They also have a canteen and vast open area. Very peaceful!

Huge sitting arrangement, ample parking available.... beautiful ambiance inside... clean bathrooms available.... Canteen also available for refreshments.... mostly preferred by government organisations for their get together or annual functions....

I have visited many times here. Very nice place to attend cultural programmer and stage/dance/acting programmers in Chandigarh.Building has a good design with the modern infrastructure and latest renovation. Very happy to see such a place in Chandigarh.

Its a place where you may come to see theatre art. Regularly various theatre groups perform here. Many theatre festivals are organised here. Good for even those who have no earlier experience of live plays.Here two different theatres are there. Nice place to enjoy and appreciate the efforts of live actors.

I remember the old version and so I appreciate the update they did to the theatre but here is the real feedback -Pro - Its an old landmark site so everyone knows where it is.Cons -1) Parking inside cant take more than 30-40cars which creates a mess once the hall is full. Traffic Police if not notified in advance will start clamping or towing away cars parked outside gate and you will end up announcing cars number so audience could be made aware of their car being towed away2) canteen area is just too small and falls in the middle of path away. So it gets really crowded real soon.3) the new seats are good quality but oh boy the spacing is too narrow. Once people are seated down one can hardly walk pass to their own seat. Once sitting knees are touching the back of the front seat and passer by have no space to move. Seat self retract when one stand up but people dont know or nor do they stand up so it becomes a mess when people have to move around once seated. Major deaign flaw4) viability of stage falls real shirt once you move pass the first block of seats ... The upper portion of seats makes to feel far away.. the seating arrangement of upper half is so bad that you need a backdrop projectors for display if you want upper 40% of your audience to be engaged and have fun5) They have added see-through glass at entrence and other side of the building but unfortunately they have never cleaned it for years now ... It looks terrible with all the leaves and water marks on it... Must have looked elegant when installed but with no cleaning and maintenance of it, looks sloppy

Stage for performance and about 1800 seats capacity ,fully ac, automatic power back up, nicely equipped with lights and sound facility .Almost 150 cars can be parked without parking fee. There is a mini auditorium for compact performance experience , with 25 by 20 ft. Stage and 200 audience capacity. 2 indoor rehearsal spaces, a.c. at affordable prices. Sweet helping staff.

Beautiful theatre.

Every child who has been to this place has memories. Its not a tourist spot but yes one of the prominent places in Chandigarh. School function, theatre, competition, cultural shows and many more events happen here. It has got a huge seating capacity, air conditioning and also good lighting along with dressing rooms. Located in the centre heart of Chandigarh.

The Tagore Theatre, located in Sector 18 Chandigarh is a small but impressive auditorium. Looks well maintained and the facilities look good. Even the interiors are smart and comfortable. The sound systems are good and the overall experience of watching a theatre show or a concert is enjoyable.

It was always amazing to go there. Everything is perfect in this theater. Every weekend or Sunday they show plays or drama there or many types of cultural, musical or literature events. At the end if you dont have anything to do with you at evening on holiday then come here and enjoy lot of good things.
