I always enjoy this place. The service is excellent and the food is yummy. Our favorite dishes are dosas, fish and chips, chili garlic paneer or fish. And then sometimes we just drop in for a coffee. Oh, and the place is clean. What else could you want.

Best green Hotel, best location sec 10, posh market and locality around, you feel like in a resort. staff is very courteous, food is tasty and good. overall true five â­ and not a concrete cement building. Banquet also is very good. Rooms are quite spacious, Room service is quick.

Good hotel for leisure and business stay, since its old property needs more maintenance, coridors need air circulation, spacious rooms and nice ample space outside.

We booked two rooms at hotel mountview thinking its a big 5 star property. But after coming to the hotel our perception changed completely. During check in staff at reception was extremely unprofessional. First he allotted us two rooms with two single beds even after knowing we are a family of three. He didn’t even bother to ask us for our preference. After that when we opened the room seeing two single beds we asked him to change we waited for 15-20mins outside the room with our luggage. After that we got another room keys. Which was on the other side of the hotel . After entering the room we were in shockCondition of the rooms are pathetic, washroom was stinking, there were insects on the floor. They claim them self a 5 star property but seeing the condition I won’t even rate them 1 star property. Per night they are charging 5-6k .looking at the condition and service of their staff and hotel they should be ashamed.They are simply fooling their guest by showing their hotel exteriors.Worst hotel ever!!

Once a landmark of Chandigarh, this majestic institution is in a sad state indeed. While I assume the rooms and facilities are still as good as they were, as this review is solely for their food and staff.Quality of staff has dropped drastically. Where one once got service of the highest standard, now one feels like theyre in a dhaba, and not a good one at that. The quality of the food is horrifyingly bad, with everything coming out of a freezer and made with no regard for the end product. Hopefully this is only a temporary situation and will get better soon, but only time will tell the fate of the fabled Mount View Hotel.

Its really bad hotel, only good thing is the location. Really stubborn staff which reminds you of British era as if the staff is the king and guests are the peasants at mercy of the king. Rooms smell bad. In fact it should not fall under five star category at all !! I will never stat at this place in future and will never suggest ant one to do so ... even if they offer free stay .... One thing which Is reminding myself is Horable experience in terms of service rest everything was good enough food, ambiance, maintenance except the main thing which is the true face of that complete journey there, that is the behaviour of restaurant staff. There behaviour was really unprofessional in terms of everything as if they dont bother about anything .I was there with my friends to celebrate my birthday party andI asked them for water thrice but none of them bothered and we were not served even till the end. Moreover, they are just ignoring and randomly walking. Lastly we had left with disappointment and I promised myself Ill never visit there againRest all the demerits can be underestimated only if Staff is goodBut, I am really thankfull for the door attendant, parking lot security guard and the porter the were far more professional and made us feel wow by there gestures and behaviour

We had organized a function at Mount View a couple of weeks back for which we booked their banquet. The staff was good and so was the service and food.We did have one challenge though. For the ceremony we wanted a Mandap to be put. Moutview staff told us that we cannot get someone from outside to setup Mandap and it can only be done by their vendor. So, they introduced us to a vendor - Renu Jain and we finalized the details with them.To our surprise on the day of ceremony we found that it was not done in the way we had agreed. They had agreed for 50% fresh flowers and a specific colors for artificial flowers. There were no fresh flowers and the colors of artificial flowers was completely different. It looked more like a left-over setup from a previous day function. When we raised it with Mountview staff they told us they have no control over vendors.In my view, if they are making us go with a vendor of their choosing then they cant simply wash their hands if vendor takes us for a ride (that too after paying premium price for the services of vendor).This is the only reason for missing 2 stars.

No adequate parking. No proper lights in the parking area. Norms related to COVID not being followed.Service not upto the mark.

Very nice. The best point was hygiene. Even though 2 big separate events were going on, the maintenance was extremely good.

Room was extremely neat and well-kept. Entire staff was very cordial. Each and everything was available and kept in apple-pie order. Room service was very pleasing. Food was also mouth-watering. Overall everything was appeasing.

Property needs maintenance. The quality of beds sofas are poor. They are even worn out. Washroom was not deep cleaned. Could see black spot in each corner. Tiles were broken. I experienced an havoc situation that AC were not properly working. Because of heat we were shifted in to the another room twice in a day. Even the manager was not supportive. He always have a revert that he cannot do anything with this.

Its a well know hotel in Chandigarh run by the administration. The food is good at the cafè but limited options in atypical hours. Some people prefer cafès just outside the hotel in sector 10 market. It is one of the oldest hotel in Chandigarh.

Mount view is a five star hotel by Chandigarh Tourism. They do the basic things right and have good Indian food but dont expect good continental food here. It has a lot of area and has bigger rooms than other hotels in the same category but the maintenance is okayish only.
