JOY BABA LOKENATH. Chakla is the birthplace of Jugabatar Sri Sri Lokenath Brahmachri. It is situated at Deganga of North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, about two hours car drive from Kolkata. The place is very quiet inside the Chakla Village surrounded with many crop lands and small houses. One can feel very calm and peaceful heavenly atmosphere inside the temple. To reach this place you can hire a car from kolkata but there are also some other options whice will cost very less. There are buses to Chakla from Karunamaye bus stand of Saltlake. One other option is, you can take a bus towards Barasat Bus Stand from Howrah Railway Station and near Barasat Bus Stand Vans are available to Chakla Lokenath Mandir. There is one more option, which I will personally not recommend because trains are usually over crowded is Bongaon Local Trains from Sealdah Railway Station. You have to get down at Bira or Guma Railway Station, where you can get Motor Vans or Auto Rickshaws to the temple. For Puja and Bhog Prasad timings, see the attached photo. There is a big multi storied Dharmasala of Mandir Committee, where you can spent whole day and night

Good place for puja of Lord Lokenath Baba,And this is also the birth place of him,,,Prices of everything here are little bit higher than the local stores,,,,The good enough......Everyday at early morning and at 12 pm the puja occurs ,,,,and maybe another at evening ( not sure )....go and visit the place 😀...I dame sure that you will enjoy the place ,,,and also people who sells flower , Depository for puja and garlands will brust into Visitors when you reached the place😅,,,Be aware.......But overall you will enjoy it.....go and visit.....

Good khichri bhog prosad offered by temple committee on payment of donation. Two types of prosad available here, RajBhog prosad and bhog prosad. Paid parking and night halt accommodation available. You can enjoy different types of Mangos, jackfruit if visited during May end and Jun.

Very nice and interesting place. The place of the temple is a great view beautiful. There is a huge market sitting on the street outside the temple, there are also various types of shops, food items, cosmetics shops, and statues of father Loknath are available here. Apart from this, the Khichri Prasad is available at very low price by Baba Loknaths special enjoyment coupon for food, and the stomach is a very beautiful place surrounded with the imposing environment.
