We came here on a weekday for a late lunch, the place was empty and the vibe somber but the food was delicious.We used the entertainer which was great. The lamb korma and vindoloo were delicious. The service was prompt and the manager very helpful.

We were looking for a nice indian restaurant. We are from out of town and not familiar with the options. . Googled a few options and came across them. Absolutely great food.... we had the prawn and butter chicken with garlic naan bread. Propper indian cuisine. Lesson learned.... never judge a book by its cover.

Food was very good. I changed my review because they implemented my request. I like business owners that are aware of what is said about them on social media. Do yourself a favor and support them...

Wanted to buy 6 samosas. They offer 4 per portion,unbendingly stubborn. Take it or leave it. If I wanted more I needed to buy 8. Cost of samosas..... R10 each. Wont be seeing me again, ever!!

We went on a wimp to Moksh, not expecting much. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Food was incredible, service great and food arrived quickly. Wine prices were a little high, but not nearly as high as Ive seen at some other restaurants. All and all, Id definitely recommend Moksh to anyone for real Indian cuisine. This uniquely genuine but downplayed and unpretentious London-style curry house is complete with customary decor and the dimly lit absence of modern trappings which all add to the charm of the experience. Attentive and efficient waiters bring enjoyable curry dishes from a large selection. The wine glasses are clean and the corkage is ZAR40. Ive never had a bad meal here. Always unique and fun.

Really tasty curry, good portions and nice wine. Only slight downside is you pay extra for sambal and chutney. But otherwise really comfortable and relaxed environment and a great experience overall.

What a wonderful experience! Moksh has excellent service, ambiance and delicious food. The lamb was tender and cooked to perfection. The Naan bread was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

The lamb curry sauce is nice. However, if one orders a lamb curry you expect to get a reasonable amount of lamb in it. Not 3 or 4 tiny pieces in sauce ! One used to when they opened !

Family birthday party on a Saturday night, short staff during busy trading hour. The food was ok but not the best indian cuisine I have had.

My daughter chooses to go here for her birthday each year....she loves Indian food, and again we were not disappointed. It was a busy Friday night but we were shown to our table promptly, and drinks orders were placed and received quickly too. Been a bit of an update in decor since our last visit.Food took longer than we liked...about an hour...but it was worthwhile. We had all ordered something different to suit the heat requirements and in each case it was perfect, very flavourful, spicy, hot - a festival of flavours you could say. Coupled with basmati rice, freshly baked naan bread and cooling raita, we enjoyed our meal thoroughly. Portions are not large and if one is not a big eater, one could feel a little cheated (balancing price and expectations) were it not for the depth of flavour and deliciousness!We will be back!!

Food was amazeballs. The atmosphere felt pretty authentic. People next to us needed their table to be fixed and it was done with lightning speed. The staff were always friendly. There was a bit of a language barrier but I think they were always helpful and nice.

As you enter a variety of spices and curry flavours greet your nose. Well received by our waiter, neat little space and true to its authentic nature. Chairs are heavy, but yet comfortable, table space ample. Toilets 🚻 are neat, portions are more than enough unfortunately they do not serve decent coffee ☕, but the Spiced tea, Masada chai is a favorite on the menu for desert. This establishment attracts old, young and people of all ethnicities.

We heard about their curry and decided to go. We loved the food. The building seemed a bit run down but the comfortable chairs and the great variety of Indian dishes to choose from made up for it. They had a good selection of wines and other drinks. All the food was great. All sorts of naan breads, poppa doms and even vegetarian starters and platters. There was a car guard and all though there was no indoor fire we were warm enough as it was a cold rainy night out.

I and my family are Indian food lovers but sadly this place was a disappointment as indeed most of the Curry houses in the Cape Town area are.The portions were not enough for one small eater with very few amounts of meat mostly sauce and well overpriced.The ambience and lighting inside is very poor with unreliable waiters.I was surprised at the number of persons who rate the place I can only think they are not familiar with good Indian cuisine.I would most definitely not recommend this restaurant and will not go back.

Just plain awesome. The staff are very friendly, passionate and proud. The food is incredibly delicious and authentic and although it is a very professional establishment there is a very friendly and personal vibe about it. Perfect for a date night or a evening out with friends.

Awesome food. My favorite indian restaurant in Somerset West. I love it.Things to do: make a reservation, the place gets very full.Why not 5 stars?, small things: the place looks a bit dirty, dark. The wall require a new painting.The music should be relaxed, traditional hindi, instead of hip-hop.The service is good and fast.

Ample car parking area. Could do with better and brighter lighting at the entrance to the car park and the Restaurant signs. The restaurants entrance is from the car park. Staff greet you upon entry...the seating area is dark and dingy with an old and rather dated ambience. The seated area is isolated from the rest of the restaurant so if you have to call a waiter you will have to wait or catch one when he walks in to serve the dishes.Lamb karahi was a thick heavy sauce and the meat was tough. Buttered naan hardly had any butter on it. Rice was dry and not good quality. Overpriced is my submission . Give it a miss.Stick to Durban and Johannesburg for Indian cuisine. Cape town does NOT have a decent Indian restaurant.

Amazing food - butter chicken and chicken korma highly recommended. Just be sure to check your bill carefully as it seems 10% is added to all bills, regardless table size. No coffee is served here either.

Food is good and tasty. I dont like the staff. They brought an extra dish to our table and made it sound like we can have it on the house, then they charged us for it. We wouldnt have accepted the extra dish if we knew they would charge us the full price. When we went there the second time we used our entertained app and the bill was R400 for two (without wine) and then they added R40 tip to the bill before they subtracted the R145 for the dish. Really made me angry as it is already expensive and then they want to milk you for money #nevergoingback

My husband and I went to Moksh for lunch today and ordered some vegetarian dishes. However much to our disappointment and dissatisfaction the food was off and the salad looked few days old and was dried out. It was served to us looking this way. Whoch is a shocker. Took a bite into a samoosa and it was gone really bad. We left immediately without eating anything. As a food critique and personal chef I expected quality food from a licenced Indian Restaurant. No restaurant should serve food like this nor should they continue to be licensed. I urge people not to go this restaurant.

Looking at the menu, you might be a little confused but just order anything on the menu! Their food is delicious! This Moksh offers a wide selection of wines to enjoy with your meals.
