Mike from Rapid Home Improvement came out to Ypsi, took a look at our leaking roof and gave us a quote. After a lot of phone tag (presumably due to how busy the Fall season is for roofing, then the snowfall), we were able to schedule the replacement roof for an addition on my house.My father and his roofing buddy had helped my family and I put on a new roof last year - the rest of the house seems fine, but our pseudo-three season room (an addition to the house that all builders found bewildering) had leaked, leading me to desire a professional roofing company. I contacted Rapid Home Improvement after a neighbor left a glowing review on our neighborhood community site. After a few months, Mike was able to schedule us; he texted me the day before the work to let me know his team would be there to do the project.His team came bright and early, rolled up the tarp wed placed over the leak and set it aside. They parked the rented dumpster in our driveway, laid down their tarps to prevent roofing materials and nails from getting in the yard, tore off the shingles we needed to replace, identified a mold problem we didnt know we had (emailing me pictures of it, as I was at work), then they procured the insulation and other materials needed to replace that moldy section. This effort increased the scope of what had been quoted, but Mike and his team communicated with me throughout the whole process and asked if I wanted them to deal with the mold problem (Yes).By the time I arrived home that evening (10 hours later), the work was complete and there was only some sawdust, a new roof, and our rolled up tarp to indicate theyd been there. Mike sent me before, during, and after photos, so we knew what had gone on. He followed up the next day to explain what theyd done, answer any questions, and explain why the mold had proliferated (a lack of vents and ventilation, which Mikes team corrected).4 stars for the work and speed. I docked one star for the phone tag during scheduling, but Id still use Rapid Home Improvement in the future for roofing needs.

When our roof was first done they really messed up the roof siding and they had to come back three times also the chimney was not secured properly and it leaned. Developed a roof leak in our laundry room which messed up the ceiling after two calls they sent out a tech that was so scared of covid he would not enter the house to inspect the vent pipe for the furnace looks to be broken and he fixed it with a bungee strap. He told my wife he would have some one call. After two weeks I called and was told someone would call me the next week. Two weeks later I called them again and was told someone would call me.Im at the point where Im going to get three estimates to do it properly and take them to court.A phone call and a plan to fix it is all we are asking.In response to Bill.We had cancelled our first appointment due to Covid quarantine when the quarantine had ended we rescheduled your tech said he was uncomfortable due to a family member had died of covid.He should not have been sent out or at least rescheduled.The pipe is broken above the roofline.We took down the ceiling and it is not disconnected or broken under the roof.Your roofing people broke it and tried to repair with a boot. It was not flashed properly.He tied it up with bungie cord what kind of repair is that...why has no one called me back.Update received a call from Paul very nice man and he is looking into it now.We now have a plan in the works. Everything started out fine with the quote etc, but I ended up regretting using them over Victors. The communication was very poor, and there was little to no internal coordination within their company. One person would tell me one thing, and someone else would tell me another thing. I was initially scheduled for an installation, then when I asked my sales person a question the night before, he said I wasnt on the schedule, so I wasted a day off work. When they delivered materials, the company they use cracked my driveway from using a piece of machinery that should never go on a subdivision driveway. They covered it with their insurance, but I am left to set it all up, and deal with anything that happens.The install went fairly well, although we had to have some trim pieces fixed, and we still find nails and other debris. Their responses to these issues were like I had spent $100, not $7k+. I give two stars for their customer service attitude (higher ups, not the office girls), and three stars overall. I used them because I was turned off by the service of Mr. Roof, but I received a similar experience here too.

Derrick and Seth were very nice and looked in the attic. They found wet insulation which will need replacing. They made some good suggestions also. I did not like that it could take 3 weeks to start the job. I am waiting for the estimate now.

Overall, we are pleased with the quality of the work and love the way our house looks. The roof was completely very quickly. In an effort to be completely transparent I will say that the siding and porch projects took a very long time to complete and there were long periods of time where no work was done. I had to call and email in order to get information on the progress, which honestly was quite stressful and frustrating. It seems that there was some staff turnover that may have led to this, but it was the worst part of this process. Everyone I spoke to though was very professional and polite. While I am happy with the way the house looks, I am hesitant to go with them again unless it was for a roof.

He is this gentle giant that has a soft spoken voice, respectful, honest, trustworthy, very knowledgeable, we were not required to have both of us there when Mike came out to give the estimate there was no pressure to sign on the dotted line. We appreciate the extra efforts they have put forth to rectify the problem and to ensure we’ll have a leak-free roof going forward.I’d like to begin this review by stating that everything I’m writing here, I have communicated first with Rapid Roofing directly without resolve.My review in short: If you are reading these reviews to decide whether to hire Rapid Roofing or another top candidate to help you with your roofing needs, go with your other choice.In length: Every person we have interacted with at Rapid Roofing has been a pleasure to speak with. That is, until we were ghosted. We had a leak that was coming into our guest bedroom on our top floor. We had hired other roofing contractors with in the past, but nothing seemed to be a permanent fix. After meeting with Mike Beaty with Rapid Roofing, we were convinced by him that a roof replacement was the way to go. We signed the contract and the crew completed the work. 2 weeks later, it was raining in our guest room again. This time, even worse. They came out immediately to address the situation and after some more investigating, realized the leak was in fact, coming from the chimney. We were pretty devastated that after spending 5 figures, that the roof replacement didn’t address the very issue we were seeking to resolve. They did agree to come fix the siding and replace the chimney cap, at no cost to us. After a couple more weeks, they came to do the work, but unfortunately, the person who had initially measured for the new chimney cap wasn’t accurate. They used “2 tubes of caulk” to ensure it wouldn’t leak in the meantime, but would need to order yet another new cap. That is the last we have heard from Rapid Roofing (2 weeks ago). Yes, we have a new roof, which is what we contracted for. But we were misled into purchasing something that didn’t fix the very problem we had, which was a leak. We have new ice/water shield under our siding on our chimney. And we have a caulked chimney cap that doesn’t fit appropriately. But caulk certainly isn’t a permanent fix. We have not heard from Rapid Roofing since. No return calls, texts, or emails. No updates. It’s an unfortunate situation and a result we are not happy with. We’ve spent a lot of money (as has Rapid Roofing) and at this point, we will have to get a third party involved to ensure a permanent fix to a problem we were promised would be resolved.

This is an excellent roofing company. They did an outstanding job. No short-cuts were taken. Everything they promised to do, they did. Their cleanup was meticulous. The roof looks great. I would highly recommend Rapid Roofing to anyone in the Plymouth/ Canton area.

My first experience with Rapid Roofing was back in April 2017. Bill met with me to inspect our roof and he recommended a maintenance plan which included adding additional vents and installing new flashing around the chimney. We discussed pricing and it was more than reasonable. His is crew came out in May of 2017, was polite, professional and did quality work. This past November, I noticed a leak in our living room and contacted Bill. We scheduled a time for his crew to inspect it and in fact discovered the issue was structural issue with the chimney. These guys did a very good job. First of all - the price was very competitive. The last time I had my roof done it took 5 days. Rapid was substantially done in one day with some small finish work the second. What I really appreciated was that I ran into a leak. Without going into a lot of detail, the leak was not their fault. It was the fault of the prior builder of an addition on my house. They came out immediately, and fixed it. Took 2 guys 3 hours to fix it, no charge. They were easy to work with and very friendly. Id hire them again and would recommend to family.

Called for a repair estimate on our roof on a Wednesday. Mike B. answered and said he would be over the next morning (Thursday) at 8 AM to give an estimate but that he may be a little later than 8 sharp. The next morning he arrived at 9 AM. The inspection seemed professional as he looked inside at the leak we noticed then went up on the roof to examine the outside. After inspection, he stated he had made notes and would email us later that day with an estimate (he had me enter my email address on his phone so I know it was correct).I never received the estimate via email (yes, I checked my spam folder too) so Friday afternoon I called and was told that Mike was out of the office but that he would call me back. Never received a call back so I called again before end of business the same day and got their voicemail. Went the whole weekend without hearing from anyone and tried calling again on Monday but got voicemail again. Not wishing to waste any more time on fruitless attempts to get an estimate from Rapid, I ended up going with another contractor.Communication is key in business and its absence speaks volumes to the lack of professionalism a company has. If its this hard to get an estimate from Rapid, I couldnt even imagine how much effort it would take to complete a job with them. Who knows, maybe our roof repair was just small potatoes to them and wasnt deemed profitable. They never told us either way so all I can do is guess.

After a hail storm hit our area this year, I reached out to Rapid Roofing for an estimate. They earned the job by being very knowledgeable about their product and the process (sadly, this wasnt common among the 5 different companies I met with---a lot of companies glossed over the details or were tripped up when I asked questions). They were timely, efficient, and easy to work with. The new roof, window flashing, and gutters on my house look great, are made well, and was all completed within 1 week of start. The process was remarkably unremarkable---exactly what you want when getting a roof replaced. Will use them again in the future!

Barb took my request seriously to check our roof before the winter comes. She scheduled a technician quickly as she felt I was worried. The technician inspected the roof, gave me a call and explained the roof condition. The roof was ok, but he found some gutter issues that need to be fixed before winter snow hit the ground. Barb was again nice enough to calling me and suggested a gutter contractor who may fix the issues at a reasonable cost. I strongly recommend Bill Roofing for their extended support and care thy shows.

We were in the market to have our roof, siding and garage door replaced. What an OUTSTANDING JOB all three crews did. Starting with the inspection to the quote to the jobs and the final inspection after the job was done. These guys are GREAT!We interviewed 4 companies total and they backed up what they said they would do. In our opinion, they went over and above what other companies said they would do. They even helped 2 neighbors out with storm damage that banged up their roofs badly. Normally you cant get anyone to even look at it without them doing the whole roof. They even had some excellent suggestions that we hadnt thought of. We took their suggestions and it made the job even nicer than what we thought wed be getting.Bill, Mike, Andy, along with the other supervisors, were all very professional. They all took the time to explain the process and ensure that we fully understood the outcome. It was encouraging to see that a contractor still exists like theirs.We had to call them out about 6 months later due to a major storm. I called them in the afternoon and they arrived on time the following morning as promised. They took care of the issue without an issue. When I asked them how much we owed them, they told me it was covered under the warranty.I have recommended them to a couple of my best friends. They were also very happy with the outcome of their job. I am writing this post 2 years after the job was completed. I have been so busy.
