Location, decorations, service, and food: THE BEST. I havent had such good Chinese food for so long, the food cooked here made my taste buds cheer in joy, the best Chinese restaurant I have been to. Cheap food, and prawn crackers were given before we ordered. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

Its been a long time I never come to this restaurant anymore, so today we decided to eat in this place again. The food still good, we order almond fried chicken and fried beancurd roll, both of of the meal really delicious. The crisp from the outside layer but tender inside it. The same with the prawn toast make us want it more!The service so fast and friendly. The restaurant itself not much different from 10 years ago but the important thing is the restaurant very clean and the carpet is fresh! We will comeback for sure!

Well as far as Chinese food goes this is just a pass .Very good service. Wonton soup was hard and showed signs that the wontons had been frozen and not cooked long enough. Wonton means cloud. Not many clouds are tough . Steamed rice dry and not quite cooked. Crunchy chow mein noodles had the sauce put on top of them so they became soft instantly. Defeating the crunch. deepfried duck couldve been any thing . There are so many more choices for Chinese food in Perth. So many people would not have a clue what good Chinese food tastes like. Obviously by the people who rate this business with 5 stars or perhaps I just picked the wrong night. I dont think so.

Best chinease food I have ever had. Large plate sized serves. Resturant was clean. Manager behind the bar is sooo funny !

We ordered sizzling prawns and scallops and other dishes. All dishes taste bland. The scallop are not fully cooked. I would recommend skipping this restaurant.

Our friends spoke highly of the restaurant, so we all went last night. We were all very disappointed with the meal. The whole meal was tasteless and very small portions. The staff hovered and wanted to clear plates that were not finished, as though they were in a hurry for us to leave.. I would not go back to this restaurant or recommend it.

We have been eating at Ambassador almost since it was new, and have always loved it. We often get take away but dine in sometimes too. While its getting older, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the food is always on point!!! Its not our closest Chinese but its the best!

I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and the highest quality of food, value for money and service is the best and never falters.The salt and pepper squid is subtle and tender, Japanese bean curd is magnificent and the vinegar chicken is delicious. If you like spice then Sambal fried rice is for you. These are a few of the best that are wonderful but so are many of the other dishes.If you are unsure about what to order get Chris the owner to guide you.

The best Chinese in Perth

We decided to go for dinner last night at the Ambassadors Chinese restaurant. The service was lovely and the food was delicious. The sizzling garlic king prawn, steamed coral trout, yam duck and mongolian lamb were delightful.Have recommended this place to our friends & family and will definitely be coming back. Best chinese restaurant SOR!!

Have been visiting this restaurant for approximately 30 years. Always had excellent food. Was here today Jan17 and had lunch special of Satay Beef always our favourite. Two had this, one had Chicken Chow Mein and the other Chicken Seafood noodle. Really great food, good friendly service, no complaints from us. Now looking forward to our next visit.

I have been taking the family to The Ambassador for over 20 years, and although it did got through a down period about 2 years ago the standard of service and food is excellent at present. You cannot judge a restaurant on lemon chicken alone, try the tofu or fish dishes. If you order intelligently you will not be disappointed.

Twice at this restaurant I experienced a problem with my food, on both occasions the owner became defensive and irritated, instead of being apologetic and sorry. He never offered replacements so be aware of this before going there.The first time his response was: “We never experience any problems with that dish!” And did not offer a replacement.The second time where my takeaway dish was burnt and tasted like charcoal he said: “You only paid $10 for that meal!” That is his mentality, he thinks people should eat a burnt dish cos the price was low! He did not offer a replacement as usual and hung up the phone.The owner of this place is extremely miserly and cheap. You can say this by the dilapidated state of the restaurant. God knows how clean the kitchen is, given the condition of the premises. Another example of his peculiarity and stingy behaviour was that he always tried to avoid giving me a napkin (a single insignificant napkin!) whenever I ordered takeaway.I would strongly recommend avoiding this place as it is run by unprofessional staff, managed by a mentally deranged and stingy owner.

The worst restaurant experience Ive had so far.The toilet was not clean. No paper towel and the dryer didnt work and there was no soap.We couldnt eat the food. Smelled like raw chicken and impossible to eat. And we were a couple of chinese food enthusiasts!The waiter stared at us all the time. Kinda creepy! Wont go again myself. Deffinitely Dont recommend.

Havent been here for 4 yrs and this place hasnt changed in the last 20 yrs. The carpet is dirty and sticky and the air conditioning doesnt work. Quality of food is poor and so is the presentation. Wont be going there again.

I ordered boneless lemon chicken and fried rice to take away tonight. I have ordered this many times in the past and it usually is pure boneless chicken cut in thick slices in lemon sauce. When I got home tonight I had that disgusting small chicken pieces in batter so full of fat dumped in the dish with very little lemon sauce. If i had wanted that I would have gone to a food hall - that was the quality of the food. Disgusted.
