The first time I came to goa I stayed here, Its sad that the place is now closed but there are a lot of memories here. I came here alone but made a lot of friends from all around the globe. The best part is that just behind the hostel is the Candolim beach because of which you can go there any time without thinking twice.

Best place for stay. AC and Non AC room available. Storage space is provided with locks. Nice ambience in common sitting area. Well connected with the Candolim beach (2 min walk). Rooms are very clean. Some munchings with different types of beers and alcohol available. You can also rent a vehicle , ask someone at the desk and they arrange it for you.Overall a must recommended place for stay .

One of the best place to stay in goa. Right in the candolim, just a min walk. They have beautiful dorms, named with beaches. The lobby is great with few beds, and lots of novels to ready. Also they have a very friendly cat, who loves to be with you. You get to meet new people and thats the best thing. Rajan is a great guy, and we will hang around with you guys just like your friend. You should read this before booking Backpacker Panda goa.I am a frequent traveller and I have experienced so many different types of stays till now, backpacker panda (goa) becomes one of my worst of that.Below are the reasons.1) The first impression of the location was good but then the behaviour of the receptionist is not welcoming and she behaves so rudely, forget about that they will help you with any of your requirement.2) I was travelling with my friend during the new year, I booked 8 bad Dorm for two people after seen all the pictures of the room on Makemytrip but after reaching the hostel they allocated us two different rooms none of them is the same as which we saw online, they give some random reasons for that which are non-realistic.3) How rooms are there?The room which they allocated to me has no curtains on the window which is just next to my bed.AC is not working, they put it on fan mode and even they didnt provide AC remort.4) WiFi service and cell phone.WiFi service is soo poor that even when WiFi router is in the same room where I am staying yet it was not connecting and due the location of the place the cell phone networks are also not available, which means youll be left with no Internet connection.

Backpackers panda is very near to Candolim beach. You will get vehicle from the hostel itself. We were a group of girls and the place was very comfortable for us..It was very nice to stay there with friendly staffs. We really liked the place and it is highly recommended. Food cost is high but it was delicious

According to my experience its the best hostel in Goa.Staff is quite good.You can cook food in hostels kitchen.No time curfew.Beach from hostel is hardly 300 mtrs away.If you want to stay in hostel,look no further BACKPACKER PANDA is the best.

Totally loved my stat at the Backpackers Panda. It was a paradise for me as a solo traveler. Met so many good people over here and made many new friends for life. This was the first time when I stayed in a hostel and enjoyed every bit. Would certainly recommend it to anyone who is going to Goa on a budget trip. The guys at the reception and the cleaning staff are really polite and humble. The best part was that the hostel is situated just at a 2 minutes of walking distance from Candolim beach which is one of the neatest and nicest beaches in Goa.The shack Mamas Cesilia offers 20% discount for the backpackers pandas guests. Loved the place

It is a new concept for indians... Though in intial we had problems to understand the conditions of stay in a shared room... The concept is really good for a lone traveller... They charge the amount for single bed.. You may have to share the room with total strangers.. That will be a different experience.. The call centre must specify that the amount is charged for single bed.. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay... The staff were very nice and cooperative to us... Really good concept..

It doesnt seem like a backpackers at all. Few foreigners - it would be nicer if there was more of a mix. The common area was occupied a lot of the time by what seemed like locals rather than travelers. Staff were not helpful. The facilities are ok but there are no locks on the rooms - just lockers in the rooms. A bit of a concern with so many unfriendly guys lounging about.I liked Backpacker Panda in Mumbai but this one not so much. It could so easily have been been improved.Some local Goan people told me it was once way better with happy backpackers often frequenting their businesses but they see them less now.I will be cutting my stay short and staying at an Airbnb for a better Goa experience.

Many problems and complaints. These are just few that irritate me the most.1) This place has some really poor WiFi connection. I couldnt even connect to WiFi router which was in my room. Plus you cant even connect to your mobile data because this place has a network issues. So you are stuck with your offline content.2) Reception was so rude. They dont care about your trip, with whom you are came with. I booked two beds in a same room through makemytrip, but this guy gave us different rooms and both beds in different room. So forgot what you see online while booking, it doesnt matter to them.3)ACs were not working and remotes were not in a room.

I love to stay there. I was staid for three days. Location is good and affordable who are coming single or two friends. Staff are good,clothes washing available an dits charge is 💯 rs.,big rest area and free WiFi and guitar also available if you like it to play. They are giving map which help you to plan you trip and save your time.Candolims near by the hostel. There is no noise pollution and I felt safe there. Ill go again and again there. Thank you 🐼

First time i stayed in hostel since my friend recommended. The receptionists are so friendly. Beds, rooms and bathrooms were so clean.But i dont find anything like bodywash or handwash in bathrooms. Every hostel might be like this. I have no idea. The place was little inside and little difficult to find.I never prefer hostel personally hereafter. i wanted to experience once. Its not that pleasant for me

The most devastating experience ever. Got my laptop,cash,scooter and valuable stolen by one of my dorm mate. who later sneaked out in the midnight. Lodged an FIR. Later police asked a CCTV footage for a lead, got to know the installed one are dummy. They gave the thief a dorm without even a phone no. And ID. Later tried to approach their leadership team and convey the same,they ignore all of it. Poor CRM handling. Unethical working. Wont recommend to anyone unless you are broke.I am filling a legal petition on them very soon based on the response I got from their team. I have attached my FIR below.

A great example of excellent hospitality.Rooms were really clean and comfortable. Lockers are sufficiently large. Good location and good crowd. Without doubt one of the best hostel I stayed during my time in goa. I could go on but suffice to say I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for longer visit in future.

If your plan is to visit goa whole day, not to stay inside.. you should choose hostel. Area is somewhere inside and cabs may not easily reach there. Reception will help over call to get you directiona to hostel. They provide scooty on rent, cab on rent. Rooms has decent facilities. 24hrs reception. Call multiple times if not getting response. Overall decent experience. They have lockers available for each bed.

Hostels and villas are the way to go in Goa. This is exactly why we chose to give Backpacker Panda a try. It was our first time staying in a hostel and it was a quite different experience from that of a hotel.Lets talk about the pros of the hostel first. The vibe of the place and the property was extremely relaxing. The common area is quite homely and you can always see a bunch of people chilling there. This made it easier to interact with new people, be it Indians or Foreigners. They even had plug points and beds which gave you total freedom to chill in that zone.The beer was pretty cheap here and the staff was very friendly. You could use the refrigerator, Wi-Fi and even the kitchen for basic stuff. The mattresses in the dorms were amazing and it was extremely comfortable.They had an open shower as well. It was secluded, extremely near to the Candolim beach and located in a heart of greenery.There were some cons too. When we went, the air conditioning in our dorm did not work at all. It took a whole day and night for them to fix it which sort of was not fair to us. It was after repeated complains only, that they did this.Apart from this, the dorm rooms are very dark and not very pretty to look at. They could do a slightly better job at keeping them updated. The toilets are too small and they dont provide any buckets in them. Thats something that needs to be considered for their Indian guests.The location is not mapped correctly and it is pretty difficult to find the place at least in the first time. It has a lot of potential and they could provide much better service to attract more people.

It was a nice experience staying here. And also the staff members are too friendly and cooperative. I must recommend it, specially for the solo travellers it is the best place to stay. Candolim beach is just on a walk away from this hostel. Doormatory are also nice and clean.

Stay at Backpacker panda was really good :) It is very close to the beach and the staffs were very nice. It’s good to get the ac rooms because of the humidity.

Its a good hostel to stay, Spacious rooms, big common area, nice beds. Nothing to complain about. Why the hell they have wash basin out in the room! Despite of that, no problem faced. Was a nice stay. Bathrooms are congested.

Backpacker panda is a very cool hostel. Being my first time in India, I was a little blinded by the lights, but everyone here was really helpful and nice. Theres a real community in the hostel, and you can get to know everyone really quickly. So many people there had meant to check out days or weeks before, but ended up staying because the vibe is so nice and chilled out. Goa itself is awesome, as people seem nice, but theres no doubt that backpacker panda is the place to go. Oh, I should mention, I was there at the very end of the season (May): apparently a January-April its even better! I know what Im doing next year...

The place is good in the sense its really clean and the common area is definitely my favorite thing about the hostel. They dont provide any toiletries so go prepared. Not even a bucket or mug. The maintenance is good and the hostel is close to the main road which made everything easily accessible. Also the Candolim beach is right behind the hostel.

This is the most coolest place to stay in goa.. It is very ckose to beach.. You get common area to spend time with your friends and enjoy the drinks, games and music. You also get a kitchen so if you stay for long then you can make use out of it. This is must recommend place to live. Cheap, classy and awesome.

Backpacker Panda was one of the finest get away places I could be in at Goa. I Have been to goa 10 times , but never ever visited a place filled with such diversity, superb ambience and to top it all world class service ! The host and manager of this homestay, Mr. Roger, is really taking the name of backpackers forward. What I liked is Rogers exceptional ability to communicate with not only Indians but also with guests who are non Indians which I feel is a rare and a unique ability in a person. Yes, not to forget his down to earth and helping nature too makes this place even more pleasant to stay.Just to give you all a gist of this place : Excellent - condition amenities, Equipments well maintained and serviced, Excellent food and beverages, beautiful scenics, very good and cooperative service by the staff, and to top it all the beautiful beach just a minute away! Last but not the least, Hygiene is given top most priority here which I feel is somewhat lacking in other places across goa...So, yes I would give backpackers, goa a 10/10 and would highly recommend for a quick getaway with friends or family !

Best place to stay in candolim..Its a stags place to be..Eat drink and sleep..its all in one place.Very economical..

The place was great, however they charged us for an A/c room & showed us 3 rooms where the A/Cs werent working. Since we spent most of the day outside, we asked them multiple times to repair it, but in vain! Unfortunately they didnt even have a backup to runs just lights & fans in thr rooms & they announced last minute that there will be cuts for the entire day! When I asked for a refund, they said they wont give it to you due to policy! I understand policies, but if you dont give me what Im paying for I think Im entitled for a refund!The staff was very friendly. Close to the beach, easy access to almost everything.

One of the best Doms to stay in .... N meeting new frnds... Every one in the Dom is so frndly ... We had crazy fun time with people who work there n as well as the other travelers .... Next time I prefer backpackers panda to stay not just becaz its affordable ... The only lacking thing in backpackers is a swimming pool ... If a swimming pool is added the stay is a heaven ... At present its just a step away from heavenly feeling

It was my 1st experience in an hostel and I would recommend it to everyone to try once I in their lifetime. Staff super good no expectation on top nor do they take it. Beach is 1 minutes walk, you feel like you are at home had left my bag unattended without lock nothing went missing. Very saDr. Good people.

Why would anyone not fall in love with a place like backpackers? Three days of my Goa trip was insanely fun-filled with myriad memories to cherish at this tiny pretty hot spot. The location itself gives you great vibes. Its a calm and secluded place with lush green narrow muddy lanes on the outside and a beach right behind the stay. The rooms are pretty well facilitated but the fun begins when wandering souls interact in the common area. This place was lively throughout with a wonderful host to come up with the best itinerary for your trip and a working team to be at your service with booze and the kind of food you need. Just in case if your birthday falls when staying with backpackers, probably thatll be your best birthday. Evenings at Backpackers are no less than Karaoke nights or clubbing outside. I had the best time dancing and singing all night here. Backpackers Panda is a travellers mate. Its affordable and adventurous. A friendly stay with lots of new connections forming, surely. So when in Goa, go for backpackers. This will be my favourite place always. Thank you backpackers panda for making Goa better than I thought it could be.

Very good place to stay. Its worth money. We took AC dormitory and it was very clean and hygiene. The bathrooms and AC are in good condition. The staffs are also very friendly and cooperative. If you looking for a budget able stay in Goa, you can go ahead with this. The location of this hostel is awesome, only 200m away from Candolim beach. The foods and beverage items are available but comparatively its expensive. They will also help us to take rent bikes. This dormitory also helped us to make good friendships from people all over the world.

I really liked the place and the ambience as well. The best part about the place is that you tend to meet a lot of people from various part of the world put up there. Its a different experience altogether. The Staff over there are really warm and friendly. They serve amazing Coffee and Maggi.The only issue which I faced over there was unknown people entering the common area and using the Kitchen meant for the guests using Managers name. I understand if the Manager is friends with them but then how can you people allow anyone to enter the premise without keeping the track of their ID proofs. It is the matter of security coz at BPP both Men and Women are put up at the same time. At least you people keep a track on the guests by collecting their IDS. This happened 2-3 times out of the 4 days I was staying there. Rest I am in love with the place.

Though sceptical at first, I took a leap of faith on Backpackers Panda based on its hostel world ratings and oh boy was I in for a treat. The place is well maintained and is super hygienic; the staff is very genial and youll find the place to be very lively.One of my favourite things about the place is that its a five minute walk from the Candolim beach and that common area is a great area to meet people and have fun.The only downsides that I can think of is the fact that you have to be careful not to disturb the neighbours after 11pm and that the place is a bit secluded (which was exactly what we wanted as it presents an entirely different aspect of the city).If youre in for the backspacker experience in Goa then this is the place to be.

Although there is a problem with Network here, you wouldnt need it when you are partying nearby.The rooms are amazing and clean and the common area is quite lit as well. A great place to stay without a hole in your wallet. Best place for people who want to enjoy Goa and not luxury hotels, AC rooms are preferred because of the humid weather.Organized by Friendly guys and theyre helpful too. But the cafe in here is mostly closed which reduces the 5th star.

I finally pulled time to write a review and I really want to share my experience in BPP, coming to rooms and hospitality, rooms are pretty clean and staff are very friendly, I take this opportunity to say thanks to all the staff specially Manager Roger and cook Ravi you both made my last day stay really memorable thanks a ton for that, Goa is one addiction and BPP become another addiction for me ,BPP is just not a stay its a place where you get to meet people from different part of globe, I met couple of other travellers after that It was not solo trip anymore, solo trip to Goa is unforgettable memory and BBP is another unforgettable stay. hats off to the brains behind BPP, all the very best and keep growing......... lots for love : )............ come to Bengaluru soon..........

For facilities 10 on 10. Big rooms and the staff were really supportive. Though I didnt get any backpacker vibes there.

Bad experience.. they did double book for us.. they told us you shud have booked from our website... But then y ths guys give hotel listing on different websites.. obviously will book from the cheap and best site.. later after talking to manager they did a arrangement for another room 100m away..Food is good..But again single cook it literally took 2 hrs for is to have dinner :( overall experience was ok.. not even satisfying.. if no option you can go there

If you want to stay with friends at cheaper price then this is very good option for you. Accommodation is good, It is just above the Candolim Beach, which is very clean beach. The only thing which I didnt like about the Backpacker Panda is AC. AC in the room was not working well, in day time the temperature in Goa is very hot and humid in that case it is very very necessary to have AC in the room.

Ok for spending night for sleeping. Not a happening place, crowd is OK. I had better experience in other places like Zostel and hotelier. Food options are extremely limited and restricted in time.

Loved it...!!Would suggest everyone to stay there because at the back of it is the beech i liked the most . Over that manager and staff are really really cooperative .Clean rooms regular maintainence , good environment.Manger is pretty good at playing guitar ,It has got lots of space and common space is quite good and managed .

Its located just one minute walking distance away from the beach and they have some sort of arrangement with the eating and alcohol place at the beach. You get a special 20% discount if youre staying at backpacker.Although if youre heading to Backpacker Panda in Goa for the first time, itll be a bit difficult to find but they have little signboards put up and trust the Google Maps location. Its perfectly located on the map if youre using GPS.The rooms are good. Only when I was there, there was some power fluctuation thing going on in May end of 2017. I hope they have solved it by now.They also serve alcohol and some snacks in the common area itself.Enjoy the beach nearby. Its a place to chill and have some booze.

Unbelievable dormitory service. I must thank to the owner to have this idea and help single travellers. All facility are nice above price i paid for one day. I would like to give one suggestion that location is difficult to find from road there must be good sign marks. However very close to beach and very hot heppening place.

Nice place for backpackers and students to chill. Also the place is near to beach and restaurants. Only complaint is that we asked for Mahindra Thar vehicle and were told that we would be given the Thar vehicle next day morning but were not given Thar vehicle. Instead we got a compact car and had to take the car as our pick up time was 7 a.m. and we didnt have choice to look for other cars at that time .

They messed up our staying dates pretty bad. We had to find different place for 2 nights. All they offered us was an apology. Furthermore, we were 4 people and one of us was offered a different dorm. Not a very pleasant staying experience. Be careful. But on the plus side, its a quite place. Walking distance to beach. People living here are offered discount at a shack nearby. Decent free wify too.

Very near to Anjuna Beach. If you are not a couple, stay here only as its very near to beach. You can enjoy the breezes coming from sea in night and day. Food is not very special. Cleanliness is average. You have to do things of your own, cant expect hotel things here. Very budgeted in rates. Book in Advance. Transits are easily available.

The hostel is just awesome to stay with your friends. You can chill out there and the dorm are really specious & clean and the service they provided was pretty good . Its very near to the beach and there you can find many people from different places and you can make new friends. I would really recommend this backpacking hostel to everyone .... Cheers guys !!

Very good for the price. Nice social area, and rooms have AC and hot showers. The dorms and rooms do have mould in them though as its quite damp. Our bathroom door didnt shut, nor did the main one into the room. Cant complain too much though given the price.

The hostel is fine. The amenities are fine. The bathroom is fine. The common area is nice. The staff could have been better. Could have been friendlier. And it is just 2 minutes from candolim Beach.

Very nice place to stay if you are alone and on a budget. Their common area is very nice. It is also very close to the Candolim beach, less than 5 min walk. Staff is warm and co-operative. The rooms are quite clean and tidy.

Storage compartment handles were flimsy ( for expensive stuff, check with staff for a better place )Apart from this I would like to specially thank the Landlady who took out time and gave me a tour of the small garden around the property .

Horrible place to stay. Let me tell you the problems we faced one by one1) We were told that they ll arrange for us to check in before 2 pm but when we went there they did not. This is utter nonsense and cheat the clients giving false promises.2) We were a group of 8 people and makemytrip trip only allows a maximum of 6 people for a booking. They have never mentioned that we are booking of the number of beds and not the room itself and when I called them up the person told me that 8 beds dorm will be given and the number of people in mmt doesnt matter. Again false info and so we were only given 6 beds and had to book 2 more on spot.3) We booked for 3 nights and on the 3rd night our things were thrown to another bed because that bed was booked that night. They claimed that we were informed to shift our belongings to another bed in another dorm but they never informed us so.4) This place has zero hospitality and no matter how many days you stay here your room will not be cleaned and there is no room service in this place. They charge you for every single thing and even for the change in the bed sheets.5) They rent us vehicles which are defective. My vehicles engine had a problem and it used to drain fuel like water.6) They serve us breakfast with an additional cost and there is a kitchen where we can cook. both the kitchen for the clients and the kitchen for them to cook are same and when is kitchen is occupied we have to wait for the breakfast for nearly an hour. No proper utensils in the kitchen.7) There is a common geyser for two dorms which is just ridiculous. It never heats up water and we had to bath in the chilly cold water everyday in that cold weather.The only thing we liked about the place was the hangout area outside.

Bagackers panda candolim hostel is a bad pace to stay. Negetive points -Dont go by the pictures. A hostel should at least have a good Common area as you get only basic bed in a hostel. The common area is open, dirty and doesnt have a tv. They dont have their own restaurant. They dont have a full time manager, hence in case of any emergency after evening, you have deal with the help worker and security person who are not at all professional. During my visit I saw few people ( must be more than 50 years old) staying at this hostel were drunk and misbehaving with girls. The only positive point is the hostel is near to beach.

One of the best places Ive been to. Close to a beach, waking up to the pleasant chirps of birds in a quiet place just off the main Calangute road. Shared dorms, a kitchen to cook, public TV to watch, books to read, WiFi to connect, a small store to munch within.

Good place to stay, but land lady lives there too, if you are going to make noise then she will definitely interfere. Nearby candolim beach, its like left right and left. Lively place.

Very good location. Friendly people and a budget stay for people who believe in minimalistic travel. Fairly clean and the environment is best suited for solo travellers, students and backpackers. There is drinking water available free od charge and alcohol available on request

If hostels has star ratings , This hostel deserve 5 star . Way to hotel is difficult especially for new comers , if you want to make new friends learn from other experiences this is best place in Goa. They will provide you everything includes cooking , rentals and even plan your tour. Best of this hostel is maintaince .

Perfect place for backpackers,the location makes it convenient for traveling around. The dorms were clean and beds were comfortable as well. The hostel serves beer as well ..at the nominal rates ! You can enjoy at this place !!

The best place to stay if you are looking for a Dormitory. The breakfast is too good to have it here in Backpacker Panda. The staff is too good and helps alot if you are hurt. You can even cook here if you are fond of cooking.

Very good location. Some toilets dont flush properly, and you might have a hard time getting hot water for shower. Staff are a bit too rigid. I didnt receive the service I expected from Panda. There is definitely room to improve.

Perfect place for backpackers and group travelers. Beach is just walk-able. Rooms are good and they have a common kitchen which we can use.

Good facilities at good rates. But location is very difficult to find. Please put proper signages.

Well maintained facility, clean A/C rooms... road to the hostel is bad...may be need more sign boards from the main road...very good option for solo travellers and group of friends on a budget...two wheelers are available for rent...cafe sells beer at normal rate and other basic food for breakfast....

A best place to be for the backpackers, rooms and bath are cleaN and neat. The den is the place to chill out in the afternoon with a beer. IT Is very near to the beach and that part of candolim beach is super neat and less crowded.

If you want a only a place to sleep at night and enjoy rest of your time outside the room/resort... this is it.. great little hostel for a bachelor stay..

Nice place. Ac dorm , washroom was good enough. Good common area for hang out and meals. Got a guitar if anyone wants to play. A lot of books. 5 min walk to beach. Charges extra for breakfast. Overall nice experience.

Awesome place to stay. Youll got to meet a community of international travelers from all around the world. Great reception area where you can hangout with all other people and get to know about each other.

If you are visiting alone or with small group and want to cut your stay budget, it is the place to stay. Helping manager and nice location. Just 2-3 min from beach.
