Been here a week ago very nice place.
Even though Floriade was very different this year, it was nice too see blooms spread around the ACT. Regatta Point was lovely and we enjoyed the sunshine. The Tourist Info Centre has some lovely giftware and the National Exhibition Centre is well worth a visit. The sound and light display is very well done.
Well maintained and pleasant. Offers stunning views of Canberras iconic buildings. Great place for a picnic or a pleasant stroll along the edge of Lake Burley Griffin.
Great view of the lake and a good hangout place with family.
Lovely park to visit especially with nice weather. The kids playground has been closed off and theres only a small section left and not too fun. Theres some construction going on at the time we visited in early Sept 2020.
Lovely park to visit at any time of year. Gardens always look great. There is a great playground to take the kids as well.
Fabulous place to walk around the lake have a picnic and sit on the lawn and look at the magnificent views.
A great place to escape from daily routines and campus assignments. Plenty of things you can do with your family and friends.
Floridae is a beautiful event to attend away from the mechanical life and concrete jungle we all live in. Beautiful flowers on show and great atmosphere. Two eyes aren’t enough to look at the mother nature’s blessing. Kudos to the team of gardeners or horticulturists who spend time planting the bulbs and making sure that they are ready for the big day. Plenty of parking available across the road and free buses are available during Florida’s time from city centre. Food stalls, crafts and other stalls selling Australian and international products to take some memories.
Great venue for Midnight Oil
This is such a lovely area for walks, close to the city and situated next to Lake Burley Griffin. Great spot for picnics as well.
The park is really very beautiful. This depicts the beauty of nature. How beautiful the nature is. The plants are looking so lovely. They are our life. Here is plenty of space to walk around and for children to play and enjoy.Conserve the nature to conserve life.
Oasis for kenbehrens 🤍
I have been to this beautiful park and it is an exceptionally beautiful and gorgeous park.I would recommend everybody in the whole world to come to this beautiful and gorgeous park.
Lovely park. Most popular event here is of course Floriade each year where beautiful displays of flowers are artistically planted to represent a greater story/image.
Very tranquil and yet family friendly
Best time to visit is during Floridae Festival
Its a small play ground in the park. Nothing much to do for kids. Theres a parking fees during week days. Atmosphere is very nice.
Fantastic place to take the kids, great equipment for them to play on very interesting make up the kids were real excited as it is different from the everyday play equipment, does get busy but worth it, the park itself is great for a walk or run, even to ride a bike, can get paddle boats to go out on the lake well worth it when the weather is nice
Nice and beautiful place. Perfect for evenings!
Such a great looking place. Always so well looked after and presented.
Nice place
This playground is best suited to ages 4 to 10. Fantastic maze the kids will play for up to an hour investigating the various ladders tunnels and slide.
Wonderful playground. On the lake. Lots to explore.
Fairly unique as far as playgrounds go. By the lake plenty of shade. The kids will love the tunnels
Awesome green grass! Quiet place! We love it
Walk area excellent on the water front
Great place to stop and have lunch at the BBQ area.
Excellent park to visit for Floriade
Such a nice and calm place to take kids. Lake view is perfect.
It is marginally better than a suburban playground but not exactly Disneyland
Very nice passed to take children, jog or walk.
Visited for a flower show. Nice place for a walk
Great set up!
Good for kids but not enough playset
Home town ... Amazing place
An exquisite scenery that surrounds this place
If you want to go to this place and you live in Sydney, parramatta you should take A44 GREAT WESTERN HIGHWAY.Then A28 Cumberland highway, m31 Hume highway,m23 fedral highway and farbairn Avenue. You can also go to Floriade to see the flower show. The cooks fountain just beside the commonwealth park playground is very high and usually stops in afternoons. There is also a hop on hop off bus near floriade which takes you to a small 15 minutes Canberra tour.
Great open space
