We had our dinner delivered from Dosa hut and it was delicious. Every single dish was packed with flavour. Decently priced, the staff are very kind &professional, amazing service. Highly recommend.

My family and I have always enjoyed the food at Dosa Hut in Canberra. I most recently enjoyed chicken tikka biryani and cant get enough of it. Thanks to the new management, the food was perfectly spiced for my wife who cant handle spicy food. I was only there for a pickup order but the customer service was exceptional! The serving size is great, the taste is awesome and is definitely value for money! Will keep going back for more!

Absolutely amazing food. Firstly, one knows from the moment they enter that this place is genuine Indian food due to the number of Indian customers. The atmosphere is great with good lighting and great acoustics supportive of relaxed conversation. Service was lightning fast. And then the food. Wow. 209 menu items! Simply the best Indian food I have had in Canberra. One can smell all the aromatic herbs and spices permeating through the restaurant and from the food as it arrives. All round a fantastic venue. We will return!

Went to eat on 08/08/2021. Awful.,Service from start to finish, the waitress working at the time seems upset, rude, not welcoming. I have been in Australia for past 15 years and never had experienced such rude service. I feel pity for the owner,because of some of his workers he has to loose customers who never go back.

I was one of the frequent customer of Dosa hut. But in my last visit I had a bad experience which I explain here below.first myself and my friend we together order some sambar vada set and also we order the second one with the clear notification off “please provide the DHOSA 20 minutes later. but the women who are serving to our table they did deliver earlier within five minutes which we don’t accept, because we are still unfinished the previous order. Then I refuse to take the second one and I again mentioned to “could you please deliver 15 minutes later meanwhile I will finish the first one” since there is no place in our table to keep the next ordered DHOSA thereafter they took back the second order. once we finished our first ordered food, we are waiting for our second delivery. But the people who are serving our table so don’t respond properly and they are purposely delay order since then we had wait more than 40 minutes. I had mentioned in the counter when I’m paying the bill they are not consider it so valuable feedback as a customer from our side. I am disappointed with the service what I had.

Thanks a lot Dosa Hut (under new management), you made me so very happy today!! I was craving some hawker style Chinese food and you did not disappoint. The chilli chicken and fried rice tasted very similar to the food I used to have in Mumbai. Pure bliss! Getting all nostalgic now, haha.

Tea was just luke warm and the waitress did not show any interest when asked if we can have hot tea instead (happy to pay twice). Chicken platter came on the table - bit warm outside but cold when cut. Also did not smell great. Guy at the reception instead that they prepare to order but I can bet 100% that it was just taken out of the fridge and put on the microwave for a while! Will never visit again even if paid to do so.Please do not visit them. Better try other ones.

Quality of food is very good.Espcially the chicken biryani is too good.Also would recommend to try the paneer dishes.One of the best Indian restaurant to try out in Canberra.

Sat inside on a week day when it was relatively quiet and the atmosphere and service was great. Very friendly and attentive staff.Ordered the $25 pp banquet for my partner and I and it was fantastic. Amazing value (couldn’t finish it all, I eat a lot), enough choice that I and my vegetarian partner could have what we wanted, about 4-5 courses allowing us to try many different foods off the menu and all of the food was great.We would have appreciated if the staff had waited just a little longer before bringing out the next dish and we had to cram it onto the table before we had finished.The value here was the real winner for us, at other restaurants $25 pp gets you much less than it does here and the quality stacks up for sure.Definite recommend.

Me and my pregnant wife left without eating. Staff said they cant make neither vada sambhar nor pani puri vegan. I know exactly what ingredients go in pani puri but the staff said they add yoghurt to it.

This Pakistani managed restaurant has bad menu to try.Located just next to mcdonalds Mall with a small not visible from road entrance.The Sunday Delight is the special Pakistani naan and paaya which is not worth waiting for the weekend.cooked badly and people are very rude and not ready to listen and make alteration based on ones choice of species

Worst experience. Visited 3 times to boast local economy, however were disappointed everytime. Of lately, ordered a bottle of wine and lemon lime bitters. Didn’t arrive even though it was just us in the restaurant. Later on idli came which was cold. No apologies no acknowledgment. Staff always keep on changing everytime. Food is old, we thought we give them chance every 3-6 months. We have decided not to go there any more. Please do not waste your time and especially evening.

There are amazing dosas! The longest 70mm Mysore masala dosa was the best. The staff there are also really nice, kind and polite. This restaurant is fabulous!

Very rarely have ever had a miss here. The banquet meal is incredible value from the thin crisp papadums, to the rich curry flavour, incredible flavour of the naan and the noodles are always fantastic. The service was a bit slow for others around me that didnt order the banquet but the rich range of dishes and flavours left me incredibly satisfied.

Visited this place for lunch with my husband. We were delighted by South-Indian style main course with species and lots of flavors, extremely impressive for a vegetarian restaurant.When we arrived at 1.30pm, we’d to wait for 5 minutes while they prepared the table. We didn’t make any reservation, but the restaurant was half full.We ordered Idli sambar and schezwan veg fried rice.We got our meal on table within 5mins of order. The delicious dishes, caring staff.We left the with good feedback. Manager was very thoughtful and so does, rest of the staff members. We went out of the restaurant with a smile. Not only this, but we were there for 2 days in Canberra, but we had all our meals, breakfast, tea/coffee in Dosa Hut only😍😍I’d love to visit the place again. You can go with your friends, family, partner or whosoever you wish to.

Great location and atmosphere. Food is great although could do with a bit more kick. Prices are very reasonable and service is very quick.Starters came out straight away and the dosa followed in minutes. Masala chai also available with our without sugar so that was a plus.Would definitely return with friend and family.

We ordered naans and 2 curries: one paneer masala and one butter chicken togetherThe masala paneer and naan came together but they took more than 15 minutes to bring the butter chicken. Approx 30 minutes since the order time.The naan and panneer masala was good but the butter chicken was too watery and didnt taste good at all.Its kinda disappointing when group of people come together to eat and one’s food gets delievered and the other one has to wait for more than 15 minutes.

Poor food quality and service experience when compared with the regular Dosa Huts restaurants. Biryani is always rice mixed with curry . Surprises you with reservation cancellation when you get in to dine. Arrogant staff .

Terrible... Tried this place twice in the last two weeks and both experiences left me saying I wont be coming back....1. Wont split bills which I get, because its a pain for waiters but they also refused to let people pay separately for their meals as they ordered at the front because the machine wouldnt support it - which is complete rubbish... more they dont want to pay an extra 10 cents per transaction. Try not to be so blatantly dishonest to your customers..... :)2. Dont expect American Express which is fine - advanced notice would have been great.3. Charged ~$150 on Eftpos, but felt it was ok to give me a tax invoice for ~$130 because some the items we ate werent added to their point of sales system yet. My simple ask for the correct tax invoice was received with great visible frustration. Waiter was incredibly rude whilst figuring out how to get me the correct invoice. Tried to make it seem their IT issues were my problem.4. Quality of food wasnt great. Service was terrible.My advice - Walk 300 meters to Tikka Take. Better food, service and ambience.

Having tried many Indian restaurants both locally, interstate and overseas, we would have to say that Indian Pantry has the BEST butter chicken. It is absolutely delish! The restaurant is clean and refreshing and you always get great service. The food is of a very high standard and the focus remains on quality, not quantity. We’ve had numerous birthday celebrations, family dinners and work functions at the restaurant and keep returning. The banquets are fantastic and you can make slight alterations which are always accommodated. We highly recommend Dosa Hut.

Very good food. Nice service. The only downside was that we wanted to pre order over the phone, as we were in a hurry but they rejected to take it. So had to go to the restauarant and wait for 20 minutes for the food to be served. So 4 stars.

Worst experience ever..visited today’s morning for quick breakfast, I ordered a masala dosa and chai which was okay nothing special while there was no cutlery and napkin was been given until I asked at the end.. The lady looking after counter she kept yelling at her staff and she kept talking really loud as if she works in a dhaba.. Now comes to ridiculous points where you gotta pay $9.99 for a lemon lime bitter.. Having worked for various five stars hotel.. currently working as a beverage manager as well but I never sold any lemon lime bitter for more than 5$.. Management will you able to explain your pricing for Lemon lime bitter where you have terrible services.

Worst wait time if you order food for take away or dine in you will be waiting 40min to 2 hours regardless of how hungry and despite the kids with you as well. Staff members (Nanthakumar) are very rude if you ask questions.There will be no compensation or apology and they think they are running this restaurant in India. Please avid at any cost.No refund will be given even if you ask them to cancel the order after paying, hope their license get cancelled or go bankrupt soon. Their food is not up to the Indian standards with lots of crude oil been used on ghee Dosa and kids refused to eat as the oil smell will be horrible to even go near the mouth.

Out of all the dosa huts around Australia- this is the worst. Ordered chicken 65 biriyani- got rice and chicken curry put in the same bowl! Next time booked in a table for 2 and when we reached there - they said they got another booking and don’t have table - very bad and slow service!! Have been to quite a few dosa huts in QLD and VIC- never expected this and will never go back again!

Good Friday afternoon 2:30 p.m. There was short queue to go in nearly waited 10 minutes to be seated. Had Podi idly which is good but did not come with sambar. Had Kal dosa with sambar. Staff management is very poor. Not much salad varieties.

Consistently our favourite place to eat in Canberra. Recommend especially the chettinad, dahi puri, dum biryani, tandoori chicken, mixed noodles, any dosa. Really hardworking & friendly team.

Best place to have some delicious home made dosa

One star just because we did eat there. They lost the other four stars though because of the very disaffected service and the low quality and presentation of the food. We went there on our easter break mainly on the reputation of their Sydney/Harris Park store. Too bad. Maybe just a one off during the long weekend, but we wont be going back again.

This restaurant has gradually became a cheating place! No food quality at all. I visited this restaurant last Saturday, the 27th of Feb 2021. I ordered a sheek kebab and they gave me recycled food from previous days...the kebab was like rubber and one could easily figure out that old left over food was reheated and served. Shame on such fraudulent business.If you care for your health and wellbeing , STAY AWAY from this pathetic restaurant.

Hi , I had lot of dosa but today I had one of the worst dosa in my life at dosa hut it was so sweet and potato not cook good. It wastage of money.First and last time in this place .

The food is always delicious and the service is awesome. Had ordered for the pick up at a particular time. They were professional enough to call up well in advance to let me know that it would take 15 minutes extra. The food was ready for takeaway on arrival.

Dosa Hut is my favourite Indian restaurant in the CBD. Their dosa, chicken 65 biryani and palak paneer are my go-to dishes. Dont forget to order the mango lassi!
