Absolutely fantastic Indian place. Genuine Indian cooking, not that americanized, oily stuff you sometimes see in Indian restaurants these days. It tastes HOMECOOKED - like they actually care about your health. There is a maturity to it. I highly recommend it.

Save Your Money and Time! This place is such a shame to Indian food. If I could give this place 0 stars trust me, I would. We ordered delivery for 2 and it was roughly $60. The ETA on the order was 15min. I should have known that it was going to be old curries that will be reheated. You cant cook curries in 15 minutes and have it delivered within that 15 minutes. The three curries we ordered were stale and tasted off. I can confidently say that these are old curries.The Garlic Naan was basically raw dough with no garlic. That means I literally paid extra for a regular Naan, which was raw. Are you kidding me?! The Chicken Karahi had watery tomato gravy ( there was water on top of the curry sauce) and the chicken was boiled and dunked into the gravy. Ive had many chicken Karahi so I know what it should look like and taste like. This was disgusting. We also ordered a Lamb Rogan Josh which had the same gravy taste as the chicken one...why?? These are completely different dishes. And the freaking Daal Makhani,it had a weird smell and it was slimy and stale. Now this is the KEY word here: STALE. A lot of the reviews from South Asian people here all use this word. From experience, we know when our home-cooked curries go bad or old so how is it any different for restaurant curries? Its not like we dont know what we are talking about. We threw away everything. We couldnt eat anything due to the smell and taste. This was inedible and borderline food poisoning.

Excellent indian food. The korma is delicious, even a bit spicy even if you chose the mild option, and more rice would be needed. But definitely genuine homemade indian kitchen.

Outstanding! Boston/Cambridge is not known for having great culinary restaurants but this is one of the good ones. Kashmir was the best but they went out of business so I took a chance trying this place. I was very impressed! Will order again and recommend their tasty food to friends!

Is been a while but I decided to stop in for lunch. Ate my lunch in the park because it was a beautiful day.

Their food is always amazing and they have the best people. I dont order from any other place when we want Indian food. Best weve had in the city by far.

If I could give negative rating, I would. I hardly ever say negative stuff about anything, so that says something. I had gone there for Buffet when I was hungry- real hungry, so logically the food should have tasted good as food generally tastes good when you are hungry. But NO! The saag had no taste, it equalled to boiled spinach with little bit of salt. The matar paneer had very little paneer and the matar (peas) where definitely just dumped into the curry from a frozen peas packet. Kheer is probably the easiest thing to make, but it tasted like they had just mixed watered down milk with rice cooked with sugar. No taste or even proper salt in any dish. I have no idea how on Earth this restaurant has such a high rating.Update: This same restaurant appears under the name of Veggie Wonderland on Uber eats. I made a mistake of ordering thinking this is a new restaurant. And now looking at the address I realise it ms the same restaurant. I can say this, the food was as horrible as I remembered it. Please do not waste your money ordering food from here. The naan was undercooked and bland. The vegetable jalfrezi I ordered was some mixed vegetables cooked together with some tomato onion gravy with EXTRA WATER and no flavour much less the actual flavour of jalfrezi. And the pakoras! In addition to not having any flavour, they weren’t even crispy. Even if I think about the time for delivery, pakoras don’t go soft so fast. Never again am I ordering food online without checking the address.

I ordered before looking at reviews and seeing all the one stars. So I was quite worried, but what I got in a lunch special was very decent. No outstanding, but decent food.I ordered the curry which gives a restaurant free reign, to see what they produce. It was good though oversalted. Chana masala tastynaan was fresh.

This place is terrible. Just low quality food. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. This is a dish I routinely order, and normally love, but this sauce was just awful. It didnt taste like Indian, rather it tasted like REALLY cheap Arrabiata Sauce.Honestly, there are plenty of great Indian places to hit up, this is not one of them though.

Ive had a few meals here and it seems to be a little hit or miss. Ive been really happy with their buffet in person (2019) but was a little disappointed by the dry, crunchy naan with their takeout lunch special today. The mango Lassie was excellent though!

We live walking distance from here and are always able to smell fantastic smells when passing. We tried desi dhaba a few months ago and have made this one of our go to Indian food restaurants in central. They have a wide variety of vegetarian dishes that are so rich and delicious.

My experience was very disappointing. I am from India, I know the real taste, curry was with half of the water, very expensive for no reason with less quantity. This place making fool out of people. Tasteless. Restrooms are worst and not cleaned.

Being Indians, we were craving for dahi bhalla and looking for restaurants serving that, Desi dhaba is one of the two restaurants nearby which serves dahi bhalla. We were so excited to eat it.First, the restaurant denied that we cannot dine in just because we are just ordering a dahi bhalla and nothing else.Second, the quality of dahi bhalla was pathetic. The dahi was so sour, bhalla was not soft and they did not put any effort in garnishing it.Dahi bhalla from this restaurant spoiled our mood and craving for it.

It was a HORRIBLE decision to choose this AWEFUL place for dinner. I dont generally give 1 stars because nobody deserves it. But this place is different. They want to be rude to get this 1 star. The people who work at this location are terrible. They dont have any professional etiquette. The food is a waste and despite their location, they cant do justice to the customers, and I am not even talking about the prices. If you eat there, most likely you will fall sick or be ripped off. One word: AVOID.

The thali is excellent. A wonderful variety and almost always nets me two meals.

Place for quick dinner. It was late on Sunday evening and the restaurant was under staffed. Food was average and has room for improvement. However the place was clean and ambience was good. Our experience stayed average overall. The young lady serving alone was very attentive and quick.

I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who would like to experience homemade good cooked Indian food. The service by the waiters is aswsome. The food just melts into your mouth. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant has a buffet Monday through Friday from 1130 to 330pm. The owner of the restaurant welcomes you and is the kindest person I have ever met in the restaurant industry.

This is by far the worst place I have visited in the recent days. I went to Desi Dhaba for a buffet during the weekday and the quality of good there is terrible. It tastes bad and some portions arent cooked well. The dessert they served is definitely a few days old and must have been refrigerated until served. Overall, I would strictly avoid this place at any cost.

Very nice restaurant with tasty and moderately spicy cuisine. We had the chicken/mushroom curry and chicken biryani - both were delicious! The inside is nice and quiet, but not many people dine in, there were a lot of takeout orders.

Ive had food, not just indian food, but food, from a lot of places but last nights food from Desi Dhaba was the worst Ive ever had!!It was takeout and I usually plan to get some more so that I have left overs for lunch next day. This is the first time that I stopped eating, and threw the food away.The lamb was stale, tasteless and slimy. Chicken jalfrezi and chicken tikka masala were also horrible. Oh and the garlic naan; how about some garlic on there and may be next time you cook it well.NEVER AGAIN!!!

Being an Indian I think I know a bit about Indian culinary. This place is not good. The daal they served had an excess of turmeric and was tasting awful. When I told the server about it he said that I must eat it as turmeric in excess is good for health! What arrogance! Moreover the quantity is too less for the price of each dish.Overall experience was AWFUL.

I came here for a lunch buffet a few weeks back , food was decent . Although when I got home it was a different story ; bathroom after another one smh . So I called and explain to them what really happened. all the Manager said maybe you’ve food allergies or something ignored my reasoning and avoided the situation immediately.. love Indian food but I’ve to admit i had a bad experience.
