Its was a great experience by visiting there.Did you know :-The Calvim Bridge was inaugurated on October 13, 2013, exactly a year and a half after a tragedy on February 18, 2012, when a bus transporting school children sank in the river; six students died in the accident. The cost the bridge was Rs 61 crore. And within few months of its inauguration, the bridge became a famous tourist attraction in Goa, but now it is in darkness. A Calvim villager said that the bridge has become a hangout place for youngsters for drinking and taking drugs. “For the last three months this bridge is in total darkness, which has made it very dangerous for the commuters. Youth sit here to drink; break the bottles and throw it in the nearby field,” informed Charles Fernandes, a resident of Calvim.

You are not allowed to stop on the bridge. U can stop before or after crossing the bridge. There is no board as such but stopping is prohibited.

It was a nice place to capture those moments with friends. It bridge itself has a good view surrounded by greenery and water. Luckily when we got out of our car we were hosted d beautiful showers.

Quite and cool place with low traffic density. Bridge itself is quite inspiring, and the view from the deck of the river below and the surrounding scenery is amazing, typical of the charm of the old Goa which we all loved and are slowly losing. However the maintenance is poor, the street lighting dysfunctional, and I am told that drunks and anti socials hang around at night
The new bridge made is safe & well made for all transportation to commute. Beautiful scenic view from the bridge overlooking Calvim island on one side. It is also a well lit up with street lights to commute in the night.

Scenic location. We stopped here on our way to harvellam waterfalls. The road, per say is not busy and we took few clicks in the middle of the road.

Wahtta superb bridge. Unlike any other.
The palce is extremely cool....specially in the morning. But, at night the picture is quite different. With the street lights not functioning it becomes a palce for all anti social elements. One should take care while moving on that stretch when the street lights are not functioning.
Beautiful bridge but need maintainance
At ancient times there was ferry service running from Calvim to corona,after the bus incident the Parrikar govt took a step to construct a bridge and it was constructed within few months of time. Now it has become a pleasant place for hangout with Freinds and family , we can spend time with beautiful views and gossips and get a refreshing fresh start from here.Early mornings in the winter gives this bridge an aesthetic look as dew fall down.. I love travelling from this place...so if you are tired of city life..you can spend time here with good freinds and get going with the fresh mind..
