If you are looking for a fancier place to have Indian food, this is the place to try!I came here for the Alberta on the Plate event and got the $35 dinner special, as well as lamb rib vindaloo, eggplant curry (quite spicy but was my favorite our of the dishes), and also got some nan bread.The food tasted good but I think it was pricey for the portions given.

Amazing food and staff. We had the full experience dinner, $45, great price. We got 4 appies, 2 mains and a dessert. All was beyond fantastic. Highly recommend.

This place is great. The butter chicken, prawn masala, and short rib pepper fry are legit. Kati rolls are definitely worth trying as well.

We had the tasting menu, which at $45 per person might seem a bit steep UNTIL you take that first bite. We cleaned every plate - everything was delicious. Im not usually all that keen on the veggies, but the Gunpowder Broccolini was a delight. They were incredibly attentive to the allergies at our table, even swooping in to stop a drink from being delivered to the table that might have been stirred with an allergy-adjacent spoon! The service was top notch, friendly and inviting; the setting is beautiful and feels like youve left the city; and did I mention how good the food and drinks were? This elevated Indian cuisine is worth a visit! Oh, and yes, theyre following the citys COVID mandates, so we felt safe to eat here! Thank you!

Second time here and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The service is exceptional, staff is very friendly and helpful when we were stumped to making choices.We wish there were some fish options however not complaining, all the other choices on the menu were great. We were quite full after the starters anyway.Food is rich and flavourful. Please don’t be a savage and eat the fries with turmeric with your hands, your fingers will be nice, bright and yellow. Use your utensils like a civilized person. :PLooking forward to coming back once it’s warmer to sit on the patio.

My nephew and I capped off our birthday weekend with some shopping and an early dinner (1st time) @Calcutta Cricket Club. We were greeted by warm friendly staff, our waitress was superb with a great laugh and the bar tender came over to check on my cocktail when I asked for a spoon. (I missed the rose petals beautifully floating on top but had to spoon out quickly because I am allergic.) They of course offered to make me a new one but it was my fault and I am perfectly fine. We will be making more early Monday reservations it fits our schedule and style. My compliments to the chef/s behind the scenes the curries were delicious we ordered 4, the 25% off special on Monday. This is how you start a week.😎❤

I used to pass by this restaurant all the time and think it looked very cool and interesting. Havent had time to come in until last week. Added to my to do list to leave a review because they have the best ribs Ive eaten ever, and Ive been to many countries and restaurants. So so so good. Not only that but the other food was amazing too. Easily a top 3 restaurant in Calgary and Ive been to every restaurant rated above 4 stars in Calgary. Good work guys!

Delicious! I went there last night with a friend and had a wonderful time. The Gunpowder Broccolini and Nana Jis Potatoes are to die for. The Dal Makhani was delicious as well. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. I will definitely be coming back soon!

The kachumbar salad was a delish and their saffron martini is my new favorite cocktail. Because of some err in order, received From C to C cocktail on the house and it was not bad, more of a dessert cocktail and wouldnt have it with food. We ordered most of the vegetarian items in the menu. Liked paneer & saag in appetizers, dhaba-style cholle in main course and nothing particular in dessert. Other items were okayish taste-wise. 3 stars for the food.5 stars for the quick, friendly and informative server we had, I think her name was Tiffany (blonde, early 20s).Would absolutely recommend the 45$/person deal, worth for the price. Ambience was nice, would have liked real candles and not just tea lights. I personally did not like music that was playing in the background and would have like something of country genre if not classical. Patio seemed beautiful but unfortunately we could not get our reservation there.

Quite possibly my favourite restaurant in Calgary. Indian dishes with a modernized and unique flair, while still upholding traditional flavours and essence of the cuisine. The tasting menu is a must try on your first visit to truly experience what this restaurant has to offer. Setting and decor also cannot be matched - so trendy! And service is always so pleasant.

Tried the holiday meal kit dinner for 4 on a whim. It was fantastic! The food came out really tasty and was simple enough to prepare. The chicken tasted almost exactly like real tandoori chicken. The winter veggie Pulau ended being more of a really high end Biryani. Pureed squash was awesome! Bombay potatoes were to die for. Serving size was massive too! Could easily feed 5 people.Only small problem was the cooking times in the instructions didnt really match. We had to cook the chicken about double the time to get to 160 degrees internally likes the instructions said but it still came out well. Also the instructions kinda assumed everyone had a lot of pans and pots that can switch between stovetop and oven.I look forward to when I can sit down and eat in this restaurant as this was really impressive!

We came here for dinner Saturday night. We ate from the tasting menu. Every morsel of food that was served to us was fantastic. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great and the staff were delightful. I would highly recommend trying this place out.

Me and my Wife were visiting from Vancouver. Their Kathi rolls were amazing. We are originally from Mumbai and they literally tasted like our Mumbai street food favorite, Frankie !! Im just cutting a star as we ordered butter chicken and it was really salty. Apart from that everything else was great !

Fancy place! very nice decor, loved the ambiance, some lovely people out there to serve you. Now coming to the food. the portions were quite small however with authentic taste. The Nan breads were so soft & yummy. We really liked the fusion theyve created in some of the dishes.Pro tip: 25% off on curries on Monday evenings.

They server one of the best Indian food. We have ordered Kathi rolls, papdi chart and prawns curry. I would highly recommend everyone to visit this place once and do have Kathi roll. Although they do not have wide variety in menu but whatever they are serving is delicious. With superb food they even provide great service. Iren was very helpful and attentive.

Food was good that was the only thing, Managment muzzles the employees so we couldn’t hear them and was very hard to order. Also constant touching of the germ muzzle then touching our plates and drinks. It is very unsanitary and sad really. Won’t be going back to a place that abuses it’s employees.

Really enjoyed our experience at Calcutta Cricket Club. We got the chance to try a four course meal with the summer feast, and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was lovely; I didn’t like the desert I had (just texture preferences) and our server went out of our way to find one I might like more. And I did, it was fantastic! Forget what it was called but it was sort of like an orange mango cheesecake.The restaurant itself is gorgeous. I loved the ambience of the place and just enjoyed looking around. I would definitely recommend the chips and curry. They were addictive!

We came in a little late without reservations. However the host was still able to find us a spot! She was so welcoming and kind! We ordered a couple of unique drinks like the kali ma and had the most tasty Kaati rolls. I would recommend this place to anyone in or visiting downtown Calgary!

Pretty disappointed, found pebbles in my daal, I haven’t stopped throwing up since I came home. Even the potato’s were burnt making them so salty. If you are want to eat Indian go to NE and eat Indian food. Also it’s kind of surprising they only have 2 choices of pop. Not worth $130.

Theres potential here, with some tasty treats, but they seriously need to work on some of their presentations. Remember, you eat FIRST with your eyes, and a few dishes did NOT make us want to dig in. The service was attentive, the staff generally quite friendly.

We ordered takeout and were very impressed. We knew CCC offered a fresh modern twist to Indian cuisine but still were surprised by how insanely delicious and unique every dish were. As always, take out is very challenging for restaurants and food will always be better indoors or on a patio for that matter but the food traveled very well and everything was packed properly. Strongly recommend.

Dont believe the hype!Sure, its a pretty, trendy restaurant to take cool instagram photos but the food, much like the instagram models who go here, lacks substance. We got the taster menu. Not much taste.Bland, uninteresting mild curries and sides that just try too hard to make up for it.The naan bread was good but it was poisoned with garlic butter and salt.2 stars for the tasty fudge brownie.Terrible cocktails too. Had a chai old fashioned. Tasted like I was drinking straight from a bottle of simple syrup. Yuk.No idea why this place is so busy. I wont be back.I do want to compliment the staff though. Super friendly and professional.Michelin star service. Mall food court food. Sorry chefs. Its a no from me.

This is my new favorite place. Great atmosphere, the BEST service I have had in Calgary by far, amazing food and reasonable prices. My husband and I rarely go out and we have been looking for a place we genuinely enjoy and my husband has been pining for good Indian food. We were so lucky to stumble on this place. Such a good time. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

Come here if youre in the mood for Indian food. Wow. I was so impressed. My table of 5 chose to do the Taste of Calcutta. It is a three course meal. It was an incredible amount of food for the price. Everything tasted amazing.The staff was doing a great job taking care of us making sure waters we full and that we all had drinks, food started coming right away. Their cocktail menu is impressive and we went through almost every drink. Pictures below are of the antipasti and main dishes with rice and the grilled various and chips and Curry. Highly recommend.

Not sure if the Taste of Calcutta menu is the same as when I had it pre covid as far as the dishes, but when I had it I would say it is the best dining experience I have ever had.

Lovely decor. Friendly service. Yummy food. Hard to get tipsy off of the happy hour cocktails. Not as spicy as I would have liked it but the flavors were very nice. Pricey when you over order. Portion sizes were decent.

FANTASTIC food and decor. I sat on the side patio with a friend, and found it to be very comfortable and relaxing. The taste of calcutta meal was an excellent choice, it provided a great selection of food and tastes from across the menu. Every course was a delight to enjoy. Well worth the money.

My wife and I had the pleasure of doing Christmas dinner with one of their dinner kits. It was absolutely fantastic. Portions were plenty for my wife, daughter and I. The Bombay style potatoes were absolutely unreal, as was the chicken, super juicy and tasty. Instructions were simple to follow and everything came together within about 20 minutes of the chicken being done and resting.Then cleanup was a matter of a handful of dishes. Well certainly be doing more kits as theyre offered. Hats off to the chef!

Incredible service from everybody on their team. Food is the best I’ve had as far as shareable Indian tapas. Can’t say enough about the service and hospitality though.

Amongst all the great reviews, will be my mediocre review of this restaurant. I love Indian food because of the variety of spices they use and how all the flavours are balanced - however at Calcutta I find that the saltiness overpowers whatever flavour is left of the food. The portion sizes were also very small for the price you pay for, which I did not think was worth it based on how they tasted. I do have to say though, the Papri Chaat was surprisingly delightful and the Kati Rolls were not too bad. Overall, I was extremely underwhelmed and will gladly go to another Indian restaurant before considering to give this restaurant another try.

Good food, with even better atmosphere. In general the food felt a bit overpriced for what I expected from Indian cuisine, however that makes sense because of the great vibe of the place. Service was also excellent. Overall, I probably will not be back since a couple of hours after leaving my date and I both had stomach trouble from the food. I’ll probably stick to my local place for Indian food from now on.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. They were prompt to check up on us. However we did have to wait a very long time for our food to arrive. Food did taste very good but wish the wait time between courses was shorter. Also the mango lassi had a very unusual texture.

This restaurant has good quality food. We liked the honey fried panir and chili chicken. The taste was different and delicious obviously. If you go there in their happy hours, you will get food with reasonable price. Otherwise, we felt it was bit expensive in terms of quantity they provide. It is really good for snacks.

My roommate and I made a very large order on Saturday, and although it seemed really busy, the staff was very organized for pickups, had just finished preparing our order, and were extremely friendly. The food was delicious; my roommate especially loves the fries and curry! AND they had this cute little staff suggestion sheet in the bag for music and movies! An Indian Oasis in the heart of a busy city. Calcutta Cricket Club is a lovely restaurant whos interior design matches the flavor in food, both very tasteful. The staff are friendly and genuinely want you to have a good time and enjoy your meal/stay. Reservations are recommended as it can book up quite quickly.

I really enjoyed my experience here I really enjoyed there take on modern Indian cuisine. The Indian flavours were here but used in new ways I have not experienced. I really loved the papri chaat it was potatoes, chickpeas, pineapple, mint and tamerind. The paneer and honey was also excellent.

So happy to be back dining in here. The food and atmosphere is fantastic. Hoping the TFC makes it on the regular menu as it is very good. Also highly recommend the kathi rolls and their new colab with cabin brewing - the perfect amount of sour in the beer! Cant wait to visit again.

It was a “Saturdate Fundate” from the refreshing cocktails, Crushable Gin & Tonic/CCC Negroni and crispy Tandoori Prawns to start, followed by the deliciously prepared & tasty Buttered Chicken Masala & Beef Kosha with sides of Garlic Naan Bread & Basmati Rice. Finally for our sweet tooth: Vegan Chocolate Cheesecake. Truly an amazing dining experience for someone who is not a fan of strong spices. I recommend this place for a date night, family & friends gathering or simply dine out.

It was too expensive and plates too small. Flavor was ok but it was not authentic Indian cuisine, more like the British version of Indian food. Also the menu did not have a lot of variety.

Restuarant looks very classy. Staff is friendly as well. Food quality is good. But food is so expensive compare to the quanity we receive. Food does not taste good. There are many more restuarant in calagry who serves delicious food then this restuarant. I would not visit this restuarant again just cause of the price of the food and taste of food.Food taste is very important to me when it comes to dining out.

Busy place with a good selection of Indian flavoured food

We came in during non busy hours and my first impressions were great. The decorations were great, a great balance in the use of colors and a transformation to another place while dining. The servers were good, no complaints.I ordered a dirty chai, and it was ok. I would skip this one and go to Philosaphy coffee as it has better taste, and slightly cheaper. The food was amazing, we tried butter chicken, garlic naan, and spicy beef. The taste of coconut was amazing, the spicy level was too much for me, but it was delicious after wiping the sweat with my towel. The kind of spicy were I crave for more. Price is a bit high for me, but you get what you pay for. Overall, I would go back again.
