Wonderful and peaceful place. Cool breeze of air with green scenery. It can be a good destination for city dwellers to enjoy Saturday.

So far, this is the best destination Ive ever visited in Kathmandu. Even the road is bumpy, narrow, and damaged badly, but difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations they said, and it does!Tips: 1) if you ride a motorcycle, make sure its a trail one;2) put your buff/scarf/mask on. Road is very dusty;3) They open around 10am and close at 4 pm, better arrived at 10am to get more fresh air.

It was good Experience for us.. Here, you can absorb Beauty of nature.. if you are there it means you are the lucky.Everything is good but there is a canteen witch is run by Gumba staff and they dont know how to treat a customer.

Far away from pestering city, very astonishing and exquisite Monastery with beautiful view of green pine forest and pestering city below. Environment and nature around of Monastery tries to soothe your burnout mood(for trekkers). It was very solace place for me.

The beauty of Pullahari Monastery is that it is open to the public and welcomes visitors - both locals and tourists. Opening hours are from around 10 am to 4pm each days. The temple itself may not be open but there is plenty to see and it has the best café run by the monks with the tastiest samosas in the whole of Kathmandu. The café also serves cakes and snacks, hot and cold drinks and all food is made fresh there. For tourists it is worth a visit as it gives you 360 degree panoramic views around the Kathmandu Valley and across to all the hills. From the top temple you get a really good idea of the lay of the land of Kathmandu and how crowded it is. From Pullahari you can also do the 40 minute walk along the ridge line to Kopan Monastery - a wonderful mini trek through the trees and jungle to give you a taste of trekking in Nepal. From Kopan you can get a taxi back to town or walk back to Boudha. A great place for a half day outing or you can just spend hours sitting in the beautiful gardens around the monastery and relax.

Beautiful place. Theres a restaurant and parking area as well. Theres a big park about 800m away from here which is great for picnics. And theres another Gumba nearby too. The way is a little troublesome if you travel from Kapan.

If you want some peaceful time... do visit the place .how to reach : you can pick a taxi or visit the place with your vehicle.If you are planning to go on a bus, catch the bus of Aarubari fr om Ratnapark and its a 25 mins uphill walk from there

Love the huge area it covers and the location is top notch. Close to the area of shivapuri National park. It has many things to provide. The building architecture is artistically aesthetic and is covered with buddhists artworks and tibetan writings and surronded by trees and flower garden. Its open for all public but some areas inside are restricted and only monks or authorized personnel can enter. Also you cant enter inside the main building. Its peaceful. Might be crowded during weekends and public holidays. The location is tricky, you gotta go north from the gate of gokarna picnic spot and take a left turn after a few minutes walk.

Nice and clean, not a bad idea to spend couple of hours.

Go alone or with your friends and families. Enjoy the peacefulness, the beautiful garden and all the loving people in the Gumba. You can also see a part of Kathmandu Valley from the monastry. If you are a aviation lover then you can spend good time in aeroplane soptting. The runway is totally visible and you can enjoy the takeoffs and landings.But mind that you do not misbehave with any of the belongings of the Gumba. Please do not ruin the Vibe.

One of the best Monastery I have ever visited. As almost monastery located on peaceful environment far from city, it is also located near gokarneshwor forest. The place is fully loaded with greenery, fresh air and peaceful environment also lots of flowers 😍😇 can seen around monastery.I fell really amazing while visiting here as lots of people came here to visit this place.Also the architectural design of monastery is wonderful which fell really awesome. And the view of Kathmandu seen from the place is also amazing.

A wonderful place far away from the crowded Boudha stupa. Construction is still incomplete. But its already bewitching people with its serenity and peace. A bit difficulty in terms of accessibility. But you can always take a short hike to make it more interesting.

Its a buddhist monastery with huge collection of ancient arts and artifacts which follows buddhists culture. Its an awesome place for hanging out with your fellow friends on weekends or your holidays. Other days except saturday you will find peace there but its too much crowded on saturdays hope my review conveys the knowledge i wanted to convey.

If you are in kopan monastery dont miss this hidden treasure, it is beautiful and very peaceful monastery. The hike from Kopan to Pullahari is simply breathtaking. You may wish to visit only Pullahari, its okay but combining with Kopan makes the tour an amazing experience.
