A nice place, I liked the food, they make it spicy to your request. Flavor was also nice.

So this is spicy food. We had chicken tika masala and when they ask how much spice they are serious. My mouth was on fire. I had lassi with mint, basically yogurt with mint and cardamom and its soothing for all that spice. The terrace is cosy i really enjoyed it. Definitely a place to check if you like indian food.

Being an Indian, I really enjoyed the food here. Had variety of veg and non-veg options available. They follow the covid norms and the place is not crowded. You can reserve the dining beforehand via mail or call. You can ask for spicy food if you like. 😀

Went here for the first time yesterday and it was a nice surprise. We shared two main dishes - chicken tikka masala and a lamb dish (I am nor a fan of lamb, but this was super tasty and tender), a portion of veggie samosa, naan and papadams. Didnt enjoy the samosa that much, I guess its just not our cup of tea. But the meat dishes were super tasty and the medium spiciness level was perfect for us. Prices seemed a bit high, but worth it given the taste. Friendly service also.

I usually really love this restaurant, but my friend told me that the food has too much the taste of sodium glutamate, and I might agree with him. I think the food is really tasty, nevertheless, but the chicken portions are small and kind of expensive. Cheese nan 8/10, the friend onions were amazing & tikka masala was good as always. I think it’s one restaurant that deserves a try.

The food is good, unfortunatelly its also very pricey for the portion size and ingredients.I guess this is a matter of bad management, considering we were the only two ppl there at launch time on a Saturday.I ate here 3 times already and I loved it, it would have been times that number would they have had decent prices.

Nice and traditional ambient. Very good indian food. It is nice because you can choose how spicy can be the food. I tried mediu spicy and it is ok but this is up to your taste. I recomand it even youd like to have the breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The roti is made with maida not atta . So it cant be called roti. The curry was okay. The salted Lassi was good . The Hara Bara kebab was excellent. But I except it to be served with indian chutneys. Masala Chai was okay . The staff could be more friendly. The ambience was okay.

We only came here once before, many years ago. It was good but expensive. More or less same now, adapted to time passage. We had one vegetarian dish based on cheese , one lamb dish, one bread and 2 lassies. The vegetarian dish was very good, the lamb just decent as tastes and meat consistency, bread and lassies regular within expectations. We liked that we could order non spicy. The portions are small (kind of usual for Indian restaurants) and with 45 ron for a lamb dish and 30 for a vegetarian one on average, the cost goes up. In 2 you need probably a bit more than 150 ron to eat sufficiently, which is more than average cost of decent or good food in such a big city. Service was ok, nice touch with the tablets to have info and pics on dishes. The place need some refurbishment here and there, so the atmosphere or decorations are not justifying the premium on food prices. Probably around 3.5 stars, the food was 4-4.5, but the prices matter a lot as they are quite high even for drinks and the state of the furniture pulls it down as well for us.

Overall the experience was good. The food is a bit pricey, but the food arrived fast and was delicious. A big plus for the waiter who was indian, but knew romanian. The terrace was pretty empty (only one more couple), but at first he didnt want to offer us a certain table because it was meant for 4 people and we were only 2. We also received a bit of dessert on the house which was nice.

The restaurant staff were so cruel. The waiter serving our table was extremely rude! The food is not all that and I wouldn’t recommend it at all.We ordered chicken biryani and the waiter brought the raita after the biryani was over!

Finding an Indian restaurant right in the heart of the city of Bucharest was no less than an amazement. The place is readily accessible. The food quality is good but a bit overpriced.

The place looks pretty great. We got our food pretty fast.BUT the taste of our dishes was not the one we were used to after eating the same thing in many places.Also, I dont know if its that ok for the waiters not to speak Romanian. Not all customers can speak English or...hindi.

Liked the food, spices and overall look and feel. The problem was with the seating, right in the entrance, the wife was cold because of the string of delivery boys/girls from glovo, tazz, etc going in and out the door.

RUDE STAFF restaurant, with extremely rude staff. He asked me to order all at once. What if i feel hungry later after finishing my food? He kept rolling his eyes over me when speaking. Seemed like he had personal fight with his wife at home and his removing that anger on customers. Not welcoming at all. If you’re a tourist and want to feel good and have a better experience try “HAVELI RESTAURANT”. Much friendly staff.

Good food but watch out they have 3 layers of spice. Also a but spicy when it comes to money. The garlic naan bread is top!

Horrible service, I ordered food online and after waiting for 70 minutes I called them and the food hasnt even been sent yet, because they have problems with delivery. They kept saying that its a small order (107 lei) and that it bothers them. Never in my life have I dealt with such a rude service.

Named as Indian restaurant but looks like they are not Indians(I dont mind if they are not Indians also) but when you speak to the customer you should behave in some polite way. I just asked him how much time it will take to get the order (we already been waiting for more than an hour) and the waiter response was surprising that he faces this issue with all the Indians. You better learn to respect others whoever it is. When it comes to food I am not gonna suggest to anyone this restaurant. Not at all worthy

Great authentic indian food, nice service

I did not like the taste of their food. I did not feel the Indian spices but rather a tomato sauce made without any flavour. I was really displeased by the dishes adapted too much to the local Romanian food that you no longer feel the connection with the Indian cuisine. The staff was very attentive and kind, did their best to please usMake sure you have cash, no cards accepted. The prices are above average so you should expect a rather expensive bill at the end of your meal.

The prices are highly modified from the pictures. 3 shrimps in a tomato sauce 65 lei its robbery, 40 lei some basic chicken and 26 lei for rice as garnish. Expect to pay a lot of money for not so good food. A lot of foreigners are present so maybe thats why the high price, there are better places in Bucharest than this.

Make sure u ask for a whole nanAnd not one cut into 4 piecesThis will mean u are getting left overs from another table ;)

Food is excellent most of the times. Ive been there so many times. Its my favourite indian restaurant in Bucharest. Mind you Ive tried all of them. I always go to Karishma and really recommend it. Cant miss!

Excellent food and excellent hospitality. We did not plan to come here initially but because it was on our way back we just dropped by. Boy o boy, was it a surprise!!! Very generous hospitality by Javed at the restaurant. We were so happy we ordered double the food for take away. The chef is Indian and the food we have tasted as good as from Punjab. We ordered shahi paneer, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Gulab jamun for dessert and mango lassi to drink.Fantastic!!!

Expensive sub mediocre food; delivery took 2 hours. Do not recommend.

Taste seemed okay however quantity was very small and price high. The quantity offered by Haveli is much more than this restaurant does so thats a negative for me and the place as well is out of nowhere and very far from old town and centre.

Good Indian food in Bucharest

This place is a gamble.Some times food is good some times it is horrible.Last meal was lamb with spinach and the food was.. diluted with water. Old food on which they poor hot water.Now I have a very bad sensation of throwing up.Overall food is good.. if you re lucky.Place is nice.Service is not the best.

Be aware when you order delivery. On the websites some dishes are named in Romanian and some in English. But no one in the restaurant in charge of cooking, serving and dealing with orders in general speaks Romanian. So, they deliver the wrong dishes. And then when you contact them and explain their mistake they will not listen, especially if you are a woman. They claim it’s your mistake and they hang up on you. And you are left with a huge payment and dishes that you dont want to eat.

Ordered some vegetarian dishes today. Amongst them, the Veg Pulao. The thing was smelling and likely was spoilt. Wonder how they pass any health and hygiene standards. The Palak paneer was not spoilt but didn’t taste good either. The last time I order from this place!! ☹️

Expensive and not so good in my opinion..too salty on one dish and too plain on the other ..also they had no lassie during my meal. which is a basic that all indian restaurants should have. 17 euro for a very basic meal !!! Visit Taj or Haveli, at least there you will get something resembling Indian cuisine. I wouldnt serve this food to a stray dog. Oh and the pricing is borderline scam. Regardless of what the owner might tell you, its not expensive to make an Indian curry in Romania. It probably costs them 5 RON and they charge 40.

As always, an indian restaurant is not one of the best good looking venue or follows the latest trends but this one has one of the best indian food in town and this is a BIG plus for me.

Pricy, we ate chicken birayani it was basically rice mixed with chicken. chicken was smelly and not cooked properly.

I love this place. Very good for vegans, just ask the staff which items are vegan. This is somewhere I keep coming back to and bring friends.

The best Indian restaurant in Bucharest, by far! This small jewel is absolutley fabulous! It’s been around for some time, and even though it’s decorations aren’t as contemporary as some other restaurants in Bucharest, skipping this place would be like judging a book by it’s cover. I am big fan of Asian food, Japanese, Chinese, Indian— and while Karishma may not have pages of dishes, their menu is flavorful, distinct, and very elegant in taste!They have GREAT starters, vegetarian, non vegetarian. (I have not tried their desserts because I am usually too full to order :)Their staff is wonderful!I particularly enjoy the garlic Naan, Hara Bara Kebab, and Channa Masala, with Zeera rice. Dal Karisma, Tarka are also great veg dishes!Enjoy!!!!

Horrible experience, ordered 61 lei veg platter and got two potatoes some onions, cold food and look at the expectations vs reality .Moreover, Butter naan was plain, may b drop of butter, Dal was tasteless, horrible presentation. let me remind people that the cost of the plate was 24 euros, and Romania is one the low-income country among other EU.For example, you can eat 2 Samosa in 4£ at random metro station with top quality and tasty meanwhile, you are going to pay 18 lei/4 euro. I can guarantee you that it’s not going to be fresh.we are comparing Uk vs Romania prices herei have been to UK, Germany and many more eu countires and this is worst taste and presentation.Finally, please avoid this restaurant at all cost as the owner will always have an excuse due to delivery, the Uber delivered way before expected time.

The waitress was impolite. The food is overpriced and really not what I expected. The menus do not contain all the ingredients used. I am lactose intolerrant and my plate included cheese(or something indescribable that looked like cheese).I would rate it mediocre, but I guess this is a question of personal taste and recipe. In my opinion this food and the overall experience is totally not worth the high prices.I had better chicken curry at a teahouse. I wanted to rate this place 3 stars because it wasnt horrible it was just mediocre, but during our visit here I experienced some insect bites that caused me rashes. When we were in the cab, we discovered fleas on our clothes. I am never placing foot in this place again and I do not recommend it. You get better food experiences at lower rates elsewhere in this city.

After a bad experience at TAJ ,I came here to eat. I ordered lamb curry and some tandoori chicken lollipops. I also ordered a paratha ,which was more like a tandoori bread and layered with butter on top . I questioned the paratha and afghani waiter got very annoyed and said this is the way they make it. Curry was below average,chicken lollipops were exceptable. Now if it was a Romanian who does not know the Indian cuisine ,will easily get fooled,but you cannot say that to some one who has an Indian origin, just unbelievable and very poor customer service.

I had Lamb Biryani, which was very good. They know what spicy mean, its the first time I asked for spicy food in Romania and actually got Indian level spicyness 😁. I would happily return to try other courses in their menu.
