Had our teenage son tested by Nikki Josephson. She identified a learning issue that no one else had spotted which allowed our son more time in his IB exams. Great service.

We went to CHS for or son (2e child) and we were helped by Dr Jonathan Shin. He is a extremely good even professional person in his field. He helped us a lot in understanding him.

We recently had help from Dr. Jonathan Shin at CHS on our daughters case, and it was such a great experience with Dr. Jonathan. First of all, he was very dedicated in his works, for example, he made a visit to school to observe our children, and from what we understand, it is not mandatory, but he still did it as it helped his diagnose. Secondly, along the process, Dr. Jonathan was always so patient to explain to us (the parents) about the test, and the methods he used. Last but not least, his report provided a clear direction to the school, and in the end, the parent and school were able to work together under such professional guidance. Therefore, we highly recommend CHS , especially Dr. Jonathan Shin.

As someone with anxiety disorder, It took me months to make a phone call. The person on the phone was dismissive of my preference to see a psychiatrist and not a psychologist. I then got denied an appointment and got reccommendations that are totally useless given my situation. Not helpful at all.

The help I have received from CHS for couples counselling saved my marriage. I am forever grateful for that. The go-to place for mental health services for the international community in Belgium. Keep up the good work!

Headline -expensive and varies in effectiveness.more specificsOur family used this place several times for our 3 children with ASD originally for education pschologist school reports these are expensive and not covered by health insurance. In our expereinces most of the psychologist we met here are good. Our oldest child saw one for a long time she was very kind, however as an adult this offspring still has depressive type mental health issues so not sure how useful it was in changing their behaviour. Also the price was high and it was not covered by health insurance easily. There are other english speaking psychologists we found later and who may have help more. They are just as good or better and not tied into CHS which we have avoided after meeting their psychiatrist Dr Dachy .The main issue we had more recently was him, he met with us and our middle child for a few months. I felt that Dr D bullied me because I questioned the value of medicating this child, in his opinion I was a bad parent for not doing so. We had done so before without benefit, he told me that was because they were under medicated all children with ADHD needed mediating in his opinion . Im a qualified children nurse I understand the value of correct medications I disagreed in this case. However the child was willing to try they were teenage and I felt had a say Dr D then medicated them with increasing doses of stimulants to the point of side effects. Told me he had categorically ruled out all other causes for the difficulties at school except ADHD (even though we have another child with ADHD and did not feel the middle child was exhibiting ADHD and told him that). Eventually we stopped the medications when we saw no improvement in behaviour or academic performances after months of paying for sessions with Dr D plus slow release medications not covered bu the mutelle had it worked we would have paid anything but it didnt we stopped and did not go back.Later we took this child to see a specialist in the UK. Here we got a diagnosis of high functioning Autism almost immediately, they also did a QEEG and told us in their experiences stimulants medications would never have helped with the type of brain disconnections they saw in the scan.So if you want stimulants for your none neural typical child Dachy is your go to guy but if you want an accurate diagnosis I would not go.

My review seems to have been deleted, because they dont want people to realize how rubbish they are. i was extremely disappointed, It still makes me very angry to think of how badly my family were treated, especially during a very difficult period in our lives. One staff member, was very patronizing and rude towards our son. Disgraceful. Perhaps because we are foreign, they think we can be treated with such disdain and inconsideration. The psychologist and psychiatrist contradicted each other and they dont seem to take teenagers seriously at all. The way they treated us would be unacceptable in our home country, i hope they do not represent the general mental health services in Belgium. I am still wondering why on earth they were recommended, they are quite possibly the worst mental health services I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. I consider the whole thing to be a waste of time and a waste of money Dont bother spending your money on these overpriced sessions, seek help elsewhere as some staff were very rude and inpatient, and should not be working in mental health services.
