I wanted to buy a mermaid cake topper that wasnt disney or cheesy. And Something for Cake had a topper that was cute, glittery and the exact colour scheme we needed. I hestitated on purchasing. But in the end I went for it. ordered online and sent to QLD. IT was fast and exactly what I needed. I hope to update soon once the cake is made. Thank you.

Very disappointed in the customer service. In an industry such as this, customer service is everything. I have used Something for Cake numerous times and the customer service has always been excellent. I was thrilled to find a cake decorating place on the Northern Beaches after a not so positive experience elsewhere. It was a refreshing change. Unfortunately, Something for Cake has begun to follow other cake decorator attitudes. I was very disappointed this week after trying to get in contact with them for nearly a week beforehand to have a cake topper made for my sons 21st Birthday Party this weekend. A couple of the emails I sent through their website apparently never arrived in their email box (something that needs to be looked into) and when I finally reached them on Wednesday was told it was not possible to do the cake topper for my sons 21st this weekend at such short notice. REALLY???Previously, they would have bent over backwards to help. I was warned by someone else who now no longer uses you. I told them Something for Cake has always had great service to which I was told not any more. Unfortunately, they were correct. I was told on Wednesday they couldnt help me with such a short time frame - even though I had been trying to get in contact with them last week. When I asked if there was somewhere else that could help me, I was told, not at this short time frame. Fortunately, I found a girl in Newcastle, who was really lovely and made me the cake topper, sent via parcel past and I have it today ready for the party this weekend.

Have been to Something for Cake a few times now and every time Amiee has been so wonderful. I am a novice at baking and she is always so friendly and helpful answering all my questions and offering advice. She takes a genuine interest in what you are baking/creating. Fabulous customer service.

I love this place! The customer service is incredible and they always go to extreme lengths to help. Their products are amazing and they are very generous is sharing tips and ideas. I couldnt recommend Something for Cake more highly.

My go-to for cake supplies! Aimee and her team go out of their way to design and customise orders for toppers and images and I am always left feeling accommodated and my expectations met. Something for Cake’s work is always of an extremely high quality and they are an excellent representation of a business that looks after customers. Poor customer service! I called up as I didn’t receive my order prior to needing it despite paying express post. The store had put the incorrect address on the package. The resolution given to me was, to return the item at my own expense despite the mistake not being my fault! This did not make any sense to me and I asked for just the express postage to be refunded. It was agreed that I would be refunded the postage cost, but the person taking my call was very short with me and had an attitude that I did not like. I will not be using this company again!

Called this shop and spoke to somone named Aimee.This is probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had.She was not happy to be serving me via phone at all.I called her out and asked if there was something I had done or said to make her speak to me like this, and apparently the answer to this was ‘shes annoyed by me re-asking questions’… People ask questions, and sometimes more than once ESP when they’re making a cake for a significant person and want to make sure everything is running smoothly.I was cut off numerous times to a point where I asked her “if she could not hear me or if she was choosing to cut me off” and her response was, “you’re cutting me off so im cutting you off” -I was not cutting her off, I just couldn’t get a word in! Secondly, is that a good enough reason to cut someone off – an eye for any eye?I wont be coming back here- which is a shame because I have heard amazing things about the look and quality of the products at this place.I have re-editd this post because I did feel my honesty was too much and I do want to think the better and assume she could have been having an off day?Whether this was during business or in life…never ok to speak to people like this. And it seems like I am definitely not the first to complain.I am not okay with people treating others like this- myself or anyone else for that matter.This place needs to see some patterns based off previous reviews and start addressing some serious issues.

As a professional cake decorator this is definitely my place to go. Aimee has supported me over the past couple of years and helped my business to thrive with her high quality products, efficient service and sound advice. I often ask Aimee for custom products and I’m amazing at the results each time, I don’t think there’s anything she hasn’t been able to make for me! I enjoy visiting the store weekly and chatting with both Aimee and Sally, they’ve opened their doors for me when I’ve been in a ‘cake disaster’ nightmare and helping me out has never been too much trouble. Amie and the team are so helpful to my novice baking knowledge and the abundant amount of cake toppers, decorations and other bits and pieces to make a birthday cake are fabulous. Everything is available online as well and the custom topper section is something unique. I cant wait to make my daughters birthday cake, something I used to dread.

I visited the store yesterday with my baby and the lady that helped me was extremely nice and very helpful. Being a beginner baker sometimes you feel a bit embarrassed asking lots of questions, but she answered all my questions before I could even ask them. We’re looking forward to making the amazing flamingo cake they have on display at the store and their website. This is now our favourite go to store for all of our baking needs!

The best cake supplier and service on the Northern Beaches. Amy and her staff share their enthusiasm for cakes with all their customers and leave you feeling inspired and motivated to make cakes & cookies even if you are a beginner. The shop is infectious and whatever you need they are likely to have it and if not Amy will find it for you. I cant speak highly enough of this place. Even my kids love going there its such a beautiful shop! Love love love!

Extremely poor service. I never received any notification of my order being ready until well after the date the items were needed. Found to be very unhelpful and rude in trying to reach a resolution - trying to blame me for the stuff up - and was finally offered a refund but I am still waiting to be refunded, weeks later.While the products are great, I would not recommend based on the dire customer service.

Such a gorgeous shop, I am so glad to have found this shop in my local area. The staff were really helpful and I was able to get everything I need. It was also lovely to find so many handmade unique items to add to my cake.

Last week I went into the shop twice due to a cake mishap, and the ladies in there were so helpful, lovely and knowledgable. They gave me so much of their time, gave me solutions and new ideas. I left feeling hopeful and inspired. Thank you ladies, my daughter loved her cake and you helped me be super Mum. I look forward to coming back.

The women that work there are incredibly rude and unhelpful. I ordered a product for a wedding cake and they assured me it would be ready early in the week or they would ring me if there was an issue.They did not ring me so later in the week I wanted to collect the item. When I rang to check it was there they said its not going to be there in time. There was no apology - just more rudeness saying it was out of their control. I then had to drive across Sydney for the item while in the middle of making a wedding cake. I do not recommend anyone relies on this store.

It was my first time decorating a cake and the girls in the shop were so helpful. I wanted to create something special for my sons first birthday and they talked me through the process step by step. Definitely will be a returning customer.

While the extensive range of high quality (and stinkin cute) products is a massive plus- what really keeps me coming back is the customer service. Aimee and the rest of the team are so knowledgeable in all things cake and go above and beyond to reassure me in any of my cake endeavors. I found the staff to be rude and unhelpful. They were more interested in talking to one another and their friends than customers.Limited stock. I pre-ordered and went to pick it up a few days later, only to find that the order hadnt been put aside, they picked the items from the shelves while I waited. It made me wonder what they would have done if something Id ordered was no longer available.
