Corner Delhi has consistently been an exemplary dining experience. Food, atmosphere, cocktails, wine, and service have never been anything but top notch. Our recent visit was no different. Started off with the Rosita-Jis Negroni and the Cheeky Monkey cocktails. I loved the smoky but well-balanced Monkey and my partner liked the Negroni riff although she prefers a standard one.For starters we chose the Hot Shrimp Pakora and the Pondy Fishermans Pani Puri. The shrimp were great but the Pani Puri was stellar. Textures and flavors were excellent. Its a great choice to start your meal. For mains, we shared the Mumbai Chicken Milanese and Babus Bacon Butter Noodles. Both were very tasty and a bit spicy. The rice that comes with the chicken was really good. And the bacon in the noodles was delicious. Cause, you know, bacon. π₯π―I enjoyed a glass of Trebbiano Spoletino with our entrees and it was nicely refreshing. We were too full for dessert but that was okay after a meal that delicious.Lastly, our server was nice, attentive, and quite friendly.Definitely check this place out, its worth it!
I had a horrible experience with the owner/host of this place. I live a block down the street from the restaurant and had eaten there 5 times previously, but will never return after my most recent run in with the places belligerent owner/host. Tried to get him to cancel my reservation after his inordinately hostile and unprofessional service and he threatened me with physical violence. Avoid at all costs. There are tons of outstanding restaurants in Park Slope. This isnt one of them.
Food was tasty but I had a few problems- the portions are insanely small (laughably small honestly). Also they donβt offer sides of rice ?? As an Indian restaurant?? Kind of preposterous. Overall food was tasty but not worth the price at all
This was my second time. I have remembered it was cozy, calm place so We decided to go for a friendβs dinner on Valentineβs Day. The interior was kind of antique styled and the lighting was warm. It made me feel like I was in the old days. When we tried to order and threw the two simple questions such as if possible to change the spicy level and what was the popular menu to the server and he suddenly went back to the kitchen and take care of other customer. This seemed a little disrespectful to me so the star is 4 but the meals were so great, especially the thin naan was perfect texture. I want to try other menus sometime soon.
Love love love this place. We come here every time we possibly can. Consistently delicious. The flavors are just perfect. As disappointed as I get when my favorite dish is no longer offered I also appreciate the ever changing menu. Iβm so glad this place exists and I hope it stays!
I mean truly just the best. Every time. Any time thereβs a fried chicken anything on the menu make sure to get it. But all the food, and all the drinks, are spectacular
Wonderful food! We live across the street and are grateful for this neighborhood gem. Everything weve ordered has been fantastic, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Love it.
I had an absolutely delicious butter chicken with tomato and mushroom sauce when I was at corner deli August 14th. The place is small and the noise level went up a little bit as it filled up but was not overwhelming. My dinner companions had different dishes and liked theirs very much also.
Good dining experience, spaced out table, with open windows and doors.Ashaβs arancini, rice balls with curry sauce was a great start.Old delhi style butter chicken was our favorite out of all dishes.Aged basmati lemon rice was one of the best rice Iβve had in Indian cuisines.Ohh if you want to drunk lassi type of drinks, make sure to check ingredients on the menu. Some are hard to taste any yogurt.Overall, all curry based dishes werenβt strongly flavored, so I guess it is good for anyone experiencing curry.
FINALLY! We finally found an Indian restaurant that we can brag about! The butter chicken was perfect, the curried fish amazing, and the naan a perfect compliment. We also added drinks that were craft and creative. Right off the Bergen Street Station, a gem.
Lamb kofta was amazing. Lovely and cozy ambiance. A true Bergen Street gem!
I thought the food here was great! the soup is a must do as is the butter chicken. The poutine tasted good but is a pretty heavy dish and Iβm not super into the soggy fries thing. One of the servers was a bit rude to my partner so that rubbed us the wrong way but we both decided the tasty food made up for it and really enjoyed the meal! Also the decor is adorable, would be a great date night spot.
Best & freshest Indian restaurant in New York. Must experience.
Great Fusion version Indian meals in small plates options. If you are into traditional Indian food like I am then you may not fully like it.Do not order their drinks - absolutely not worth it
Great cocktails average food. Your paying for the ambiance and modern take on indian cuisine. The cocktails really have been created well and everyone at my table enjoyed the ones we ordered. Unfortunately the food on the other hand left more to be desired. The appetizers were okay but underseasoned and this also translated to the curries we ordered. Im talking salt not spice here (Im not a critical person for spice but if you like spicy food I dont think this will scratch your itch). I do always appreciate trying places like these as they are a fresh take on classic indian food - but I couldnt help feel unsatisfied after my meal
Great cocktails, friendly staff, and solid food. Staple of an English style Indian restaurant. Serving sizes are fine, donβt listen to the other reviews.
My wife and I stumbled upon Corner Delhi while wandering and happened to turn into Bergen St. We are big fans of Indian food and have our usual haunts in our Manhattan neighborhood. Corner Delhi is better than any other Indian food we have had in many years. The menu is small and creative, the staff very friendly and accommodating, the food is freshly prepared, but most importantly the flavors exploded with each course. Triple Yum! We began with the Tandoori chicken samosas with cilantro chutney, fantastic. We then shared the Kashmir lamb kofta in green curry, Mumbai chicken Milanese, mango chutney and a naan(?). I highly recommend these dishes as well as this charming neighborhood restaurant. Of course a few draught beers help to balance out the spices. Enjoy!
Great food and ambience.
Food was great, good cocktails with an Indian touch, staff was super nice and the place is cute
We came to this spot for lunch. we heard about this place from a lot of people. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff were very polite and we felt good. The meal was delicious. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Keep it up.
Great food. Cocktails were on point. Service was flawless and great space. What more can you want?
I love this restaurant. Great, innovative food and amazing cocktails. Takes Indian to a new level.
Portions on the βsmallerβ side, but quality is fantastic. Entree portions are akin to other dining establishments for the price point ($18-22), just less than is commonly served at a casual Indian restaurant. The elevated atmosphere, made-in-house items, and delightful menu makes it more than worth the price.Filling, creative, fun, and a lovely vibe inside. Great customer service (on the phone) and then thoughtful and attentive service when seated.
Had a great meal in a pleasing atmosphere. Everything was full of flavor, fresh, and nicely presented. Canβt believe I havenβt been here before but will definitely be back.
Great food & cocktails!! Donβt forget to check out the desserts. The staff were nice and helpful. Decor and vibe was good. Already planning to go back.
The decor was amazing however, the portions were small. Which is fine but was over expensive for the amount. Also the butter chicken couldve been better for $19 and barely filling my stomach. It was a chicken thigh cut in half laid over each other with a bit of sauce and a small cup of rice. They didnt even have naan bread. Wild.
Delicious! More fine dining than casual but not exorbitant prices. One of our favorite places for Indian in Brooklyn...
Quality meats used in the dishes, however the flavoring was rather bland. Drinks, although intriguing, were not well executed. We were both underwhelmed.Inviting decor, however, the owner was cold and unaccommodating, and the bartender was equally so.Service at the table was solid and attentive.Itβs a shame as we had high hopes for this place.
Had an amazing dinner at Corner Delhi this week. Delicious spicy cucumber cocktail, fresh flavorful food especially the tandoori chicken. We almost didnt even order desert, but the chocolate cake and coconut tapioca were stand outs and not too sweet. The space is really warm and nicely done so you wanted to just hang out and chat. Beautiful bar too, I would totally go just for drinks.
Wasnt aware of this place until it was spotted on resy. Since its only a short walk from home figured why not. Boy was I taken by surprise. An Indian/British spin on Indian dishes. Really good from start to finish. Lovely space too. Cocktails are recommended. Service was lovely. Go see for yourself.
We live nearby and have dropped in several times since Corner Delhi opened a year ago. Every time is better than the last. The menu now offers a surprising diversity of dishes, many veggie-friendly (were vegetarian and love it). Early on we found portions to be small but last night we shared 1 appetizer, 1 main, a Poori bread and a dessert - and we were stuffed. The place is cozy and classy and worth a special trip for the Anglo spin on traditional Indian fare.
A new favorite spot. Described as βreinterpreted traditional cuisineβ, including interesting takes on pastas and pub foods. I love everything weβve eaten here, as well as the feeling in the space.
Authentic indian with a gorgeous ambience. The owner is lovely and you can tell this restaurant is his labor of love. A perfect spot for a date, group of friends or a solo meal at the bar. The cocktails are also very very good, a solid experience for premium indian in park slope.
Excellent quality indian. Best in the area...A little wider entree selection would mean 5 stars
I happened to stop into Corner Delhi on, what turned out to be, their opening night. The decor was welcoming and the vibe was very much a neighborhood place. In fact, I immediately ran into some neighborhood friends sitting at the bar.The menu has just the right number of options and food was delicious, so fresh. My daughter, who is not an adventurous eater, really loved the samosas. The staff was super helpful and lovely. I look forward to many return visits.
Charming ambience and food good but portions are small and the menu is limited.
Prices fairly high. Choices rather narrow, at least for vegetarians. Portions on the small side. Food was decent
Ive eaten here 3 times since the opening and its only gotten better. A different approach to Indian food and a great selection of wine. If I lived closer Id go often, even for just the bar and dessert menu alone. Really lovely.
Best spot to buy food when in a rush. Their service is prompt, rates are affordable, great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place
We had a fantastic experience at Corner Delhi. Cocktails were creative and the food was really well executed. Samosas, daal and butter chicken were standouts. Couldnβt be happier to finally have a place in NYC serving fantastic Indian food in a cool space with great ambiance.
So yummy! I love the atmosphere, the food was super good, and our waitress Kristin was the best! Highly recommend!
Staff was amazing. Cocktails are innovative. But the food is average at best and incredibly overpriced....$5 for a measly serving of rice? $26 for a very small portion of overcooked shrimp curry? Not in any way worth the price.
My family and I ate there tonight and really enjoyed the food and cocktails. Atmosphere was great and so was the staff. I highly recommend the Somozas. Plan to be back soon!
The place looks great, but beauty sits inside not outsider. The food is not tasty (but looks nice), 19$ ! for 3pc / 150 gram chicken, 2 chapati 5$ (extremely high). Glass of lassi: 12$? A lot of $$$ for outside, but no enjoyment .If you want to enjoy a nice Indian dinner, this is Not the place to be. You will feel robbed.
Great addition to the neighborhood. No one else is really doing what Corner Delhi is doing; that is, a fun, sexy Brooklyn bistro with a solid wine and cocktail list, but rather than French, or Italian fare -- with which the market is already saturated -- Indian!Aesthetically well-appointed, and a pleasant staff, across the board, too.Food-wise, highlights for me were the home-style daal, wild mushroom masala, the chutneys, and the coconut tapioca.Cocktail-wise, check out the Cheeky Monkey.Pretty damned impressed.
LOVE. Food was excellent. Not super-spicy - instead, thoughtfully well-spiced. Menu was diverse and interesting; portions were sized for normal humans (i.e., not massive, not Tapas-style).Made me think of Londons Dishoom immediately - I hope theyre that successful! Fingers crossed that they make it, as its a great addition to the hood.(and yes, this is the same review I posted on Yelp. Im not affiliated with the restaurant - Im just being a bit lazy.)
The WORST Indian food I have ever had. It was straight up bland. The butter chicken sauce tasted like Campbells tomato soup. The saag paneer was all saag no paneer. The whole thing was incredibly overpriced and to top it off the music playing in the restaurant was loud and awkward (french love song followed by an American hip hop song followed by something that actually was vaguely west Asian.) The service was fine, and the shop looks cool, but the food was incredibly disappointing!
The food was not tasty at all. We ordered like 3 meals and it already costed us about 80$. The prices are super high. The butter chicken we ordered was sour.
The menu may change but the heart of the food remains the same. Everytime I go here the food is great. And in certainly love the cosy atmosphere.
Wonderful bartender! Food is good. There could be more vegan options and nut-free considerations. There are currently no vegan desserts as in other NYC Indian Restaurants ie. gulgulas, besan burfi, mysore pak, etc... This is especially helpful if you wish to celebrate a happy birthday with a vegan friend. The desserts also do not have low-glycemic cane sugar alternatives - like coconut sugar, monkfruit sugar, or yacon syrup. We would even pay extra for this provision.Additionally, there is no basmati brown rice selection on the menu or coconut yogurt raita or lassi for vegans. The room could also be slightly less dark for reading menus and the bill. We had to use our cellphone flashlights.Waitresses could have waited a few more minutes to clear the table in our opinion. We will be happy to return if there is ever a few minor adjustments.
Best Indian food in Brooklyn! finally a quality Indian spot. We will be back. frequently I predict.
If youre in the mood for traditional Indian, dont go here... its definitely fusion... but the food is phenomenal
Such an amazing meal. Highly recommend the Lamb Kofta & the Tandoori Somosas. Great atmosphere & the staff was wonderful. Also, the tapioca was unbelievable. Will be going back for sure.
The tandoor-fired, house-chopped pastured lamb was lamb sausage. The spices were good.
SO GOOD! Will definitely be a place I come back again and again.
I dont love Indian food. Other than Amaya in London (so high end its in a different category) I have always found it overspiced to the point of being unpleasant. What did I just eat? Doesnt matter; it was heavy and overwhelming.Tripped over Corner Delhi while searching for an open restaurant on July 4. And wow. Great service, great attention to detail (no fish today; its a holiday and the fish market isnt open so we dont serve fish at all!) and terrific, well moderated food. And fresh bread actually seemed to mean baked for you. They have a visibility problem and if you do happen to stumble upon them you might think theyre just a bar ... so Im concerned for their survival. But MAN did we love Corner Delhi. HIGHLY recommended.
Had a great night at Corner Delhi. The food was superb tasty, light, modern indian. The team and the decor also contributed to the wonderful experience. I will be back for sure. Shrimp curry was my fav!
Food and service were great! Well definitely be back.
Delicious.the owner is delightful as well. Great music.
My friend & I recently ate dinner before a Nets game. I had the Saag Paneer & he had Shrimp Curry. Food was ok but seemed overpriced. Staff were pleasant & service was fine.
Overpriced, small portions and neither flavor nor service justified the price tag. Paneer makhani literally had 3 pieces of paneer! Mango lassi for $12??!!
We went here twice. The first time I thought: Delicious Indian fusion. We especially enjoyed the salmon Chaat and the lamb kofta and spaghetti and poori. My partner liked the butter chicken but I thought it was too mild for my liking. We had drinks and when we got the bill it turned out I got the wrong wine, which probably explained why I hadnt liked it. We liked this place enough to go back a week later. Unfortunately, trying different menu times we were less impressed. The Tuesday Thali had nine tiny samples (vegetarian or vegan) in little cups, which made it difficult to combine with rice or poori. Most of those nine werent outstanding. My partner had the steak, which was cooked well but overly seasoned with pepper. My chocolate cake dessert was disappointing - dry cake and the cardamom and rose flavours promised in the icing and whipped cream were extremely subtle. I did get the correct wine this time. It was busy fairly early on a Friday and a reservation is probably a good idea. We saw a family with young kids but I wouldnt call it a particularly kid-friendly spot.
Amazing food, friendly staff, great decor!
The hottest new arrival in the restaurant world! A gem of a place from the attention to details to the subtlety of the flavors - from the Cheeky Monkey cocktail, to the incredibly delicious & affordable wine list; from the freshest, vibrant green saag to the pani puri that melts in your mouth. As for the spaces artistic flavor, it is stunning and airy. I went 2 nights in a row and I live in Manhattan! Needless to say, I am obsessed.
I highly recommend trying this place. Amazing vibe, decor is on point! Cocktails are inventive and tasty. The food is very refined compared to traditional Indian restaurants, much more Brooklyn 2018. The pani puri appetizer is a great amuse bouche. The shrimp curry was flavorful and savory/sweet with the addition of mango bits. Interesting additions to traditional dishes. You have to order the carrot pickle, its truly spectacular! Ill be coming back.
Very good food... wasnt really feeling the crowd but the food was really delicious
The food, service, and ambiance are really well done here.
The space, the staff, the owner - all truly great. The food, however, is over conceptualized & underwhelming, especially for the price (which is high). Places that remix street food often miss the mark (think: Pok Pok (RIP)), Corner Delhi included. We got the chaat, and the meatballs. Also, the butter chicken, which was mostly a so so fillet in watery sauce. The meal was fairly forgettable, while the cocktail list is filled with missed opportunities for flavor infusions. Theres way better Indian food out there for less money.
Really good food and drinks. Itβs expensive, but worth the splurge.
Beautiful space, delicious food. Highly recommend
Intimate, delicious, great service! The food is anglo-indian, but with dishes like butter chicken with mushrooms and sag paneer with broccoli rabe you might think it wouldnt work, but wow! It sure does. The coconut Whitney is straight outta Kerala, the tamarind salmon melts in your mouth and is paired with a spicy, crunchy corn succotash. The decor is Indian train station meets Brooklyn bar, and the drinks are great (all with a fun Indian or spice twist). Great date spot! Highly recommended!
Have been waiting for this spot to open for awhile. And as it was going up, you can tell that a lot of thought was put into the design, creating a cozy neighborhood spot for eating with friends, date night or pulling up a spot at the bar to meet for drinks after work (or in my case that evening, by yourself). Corner Dehli is definitely filling a hole in the neighborhood - creating an inviting space for inventive cocktails and refined indian food. They have a curated, thoughtful wine list and the gin / cucumber cocktail packed a spicy punch, which I loved. The masala leek samosas were fantastic - complex flavors in a delicate crusted pastry. The butter chicken was rich and nuanced -- It was truly a lovely meal. Corner Dehli also seems to be adapting to the needs of the neighborhood, which I appreciate. The reason I hadnt tried it before was because of the prices - $30 for entrees is steep for a curry, even in this neighborhood but it looks like theyve adjusted their pricing for entrees and now are including the fragrant rice in the entree pricing. Fingers crossed they consider a happy hour for those warm summer months when they can open the windows?!Its a refreshing addition to the neighborhood and I look forward to going back!
I loved my visit here. The atmosphere was warm, great jazz playing, waitress was quick to greet us, friendly and enthusiastic about the menu. The lamb meatballs were moist rich and flavorful, I ate them alongside the samosas (hot, moist and fluffy, super fresh) and the Bombay Cabbie- a rye drink, and the Minty-Pinty. Both are delicious Indian infused recreations, the minty pinty was like a mint julep with Masala Spices- the spice worked really well with the sweetness.Finished everything with the Banana/rose/cardamom Lassi- delicious.I absolutely recommend coming in. I walked around the neighborhood before going in, saw lots of options- I was glad I chose Corner Delhi. Im definitely coming back soon. Next time I hope to try the salmon tar-tar with chili and chutney.
An amazing place to dine, everything on menu is delicious
Food is ordinary. Price is high. Quantity is less.
A must try! Delicious foooooood and a beautiful space!!!!!
Amzing fusion food
A hidden gem in the neighborhood.
Overpriced for what you get.
