Successfully done modern takes of classical Indian dishes. Lots of restaurants will try contemporary twists on Indian cuisine and fall short, but the food here is absolutely delicious. Love how they use cranberries for acid. Highly recommend!

Really good Goan food. Will be nice once the backyard is open, was a little busy on the sidewalk. I got the lamb shank and it was delicious and very filling.

Weve been to this restaurant a couple times before the pandemic and it was ok.We really love Indian food. Today we had a chance to dine outside after a long break and we loved the new menu as well as the new approach, we briefly found out that the chef has changed under the same management. Everything looked very elevated and the staff was great. We really enjoyed the food and the service. Im thinking this spot will get busier and more popular soon.

Amazing restaurant with inventive takes on Indian fare. The food was so good in fact that the next day my fiancé and I went to a Michelin stared restaurant and my fiancé was still hungry after that dinner that he eat Indian Table leftovers when we came home and said that he thought Indian Table was “WAY better”. The waiter told us the chef is new and has cooked at some of the highest end Indian restaurants in New York and you can taste it! Can’t recommend giving this place a try!

I have ordered from here in the past, but the place is now SUBSTANTIALLY better. As of March 2021, the food has great flavor and portions. Much better than 2019 or early 2020. I will certainly order much more frequently now that the taste is right.

Its been a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time (if ever) that I was impressed by an Indian restaurant in this neighborhood. We heard the chef changed and we have been getting take-out from Indian Table during the pandemic and it is EXCELLENT. Bold, bright, and distinguishable flavors in every dish. The portions are generous! So far, we like the Achari chicken appetizer, the bhindi Masala, the Shrimp Biryani the best, but every dish we have ordered has been well executed and delicious. Its a very welcome improvement over the previous chef and a wonderful option to have in the neighborhood. One day, I hope to eat there in person again!

Amazing! Indian Table is a lovely and elevated Indian restaurant that is significantly better than most, and one of the best restaurants in Cobble Hill. The food is complex and exciting, and the team is warm and welcoming. Couldnt recommend highly enough.

Saag paneer is my go to comparison dish across indian restaurants. This one was bland and light on the paneer. I tried Avial for the first time and maybe I just dont like the dish, but it was full of some hard vegetable that was not edible. Would not recommend.

Nothing short of an immaculate experience, meal, and after-dinner glow. feeling. First of all, the service and vibe of the place is completely wonderful - elevated but warm and comfortable. As for the meal - all I can say is that every time I have gone I have literally thought about the flavors for days. So far the Tandoori Mushroom, the Chicken Tikka Masala, the Goat Briyani, and the Achari Baigan (must get) are my favorite dishes. In general, as a climber, Im always looking for a great meal that leaves me feeling great too. This hit the spot.

I had a delivery and I was disappointed about the chicken. It looks like theyve used the one that comes pre-packaged, like the one that you buy at the grocery store ready sliced for the salad, I cant believe they dont cook with fresh ingredients, at least not today, i hope your will never have to eat something like that.

We ordered from here once a while ago and were disappointed at the lack of spice or flavor. We ended up traveling much farther for Indian instead of repeating the disappointment. We tried again recently and it was fantastic. Everything was full of flavor - extremely delicious and on point. I later learned that they have a new chef (Eric McCarthy). Kudos to him and we are definitely ordering again very soon. We got the Chicken Chettinad, Khada Masala Gosht (Lamb), saag paneer side, dal makhani side and garlic naan. Way too much food for two people, but we wanted variety. The sides are definite side-dish sized (they come in 8 oz containers). I am not sure when the new chef got there, but it was recent (if it helps while reading other reviews). Ignore the complaints before then... we were converted.

Always A Great Experience!

I have been a patron of Indian Table for about 3 years. I have always thought the prices were high, but I kept coming back for tasty Indian food close to home. I had one specifically bad experience dining in soon after they went away from BYOB which actually caused me to leave hungry. Despite that experience, I have continued eating and ordering. I understand that cooking staff has turned over recently. As of my order on 10/16/20 I don’t think I’ll be back. Our favorite dish (the vegetable korma) is completely unrecognizable and for the worst. What used to be a vibrant dish is now a bland overdose of creme. It’s been a good run Indian Table but I think it’s time at last to cut ties.

The food was delicious! Loved the unique flavors and takes on indian dishes. The standout was the jackfruit biryani. Can’t wait to order again from here.

Recently there is a new chef, and don’t be fooled, this is not your standard, bland neighborhood joint. This is inspired cuisine, carefully and thoughtfully prepared with quality ingredients. Fantastic and highly recommended.

Allow to me to recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala! Likely the best I’ve had from any restaurant. The naan bread was awesomely packaged to keep it warm. It was a bit pricey, but you pay for quality!!! I can’t wait to visit again.

Had lal Maas, food was very bland and nearly cold despite being Friday dinner rush… Not impressed.

Had the avial and a cheakpeas dish, food was good. The waiter kept touching the female waitresss hair. It made me and my wife very uncomfortable. Because of that, we will not return.

The male waiter talked too much and was constantly berating the female wait staff. He kept insisting we try the spicy okra. The dish wasnt bad but he was pushy. The music was also very interesting but too loud and distracting.

The food was excellent, but the menu was limited. The service was mixed. One waiter was kind and helpful, while the other tried his best to push us out. We were spending a good deal of money, so I dont know what his problem was. Nonetheless the food and wine were of high quality along Court Street.

The restaurant was fantastic with great ambiance. Perfect spot for date night. Soft/elegant jazz was playing the whole time with candles on the table and it seems that they have a good selection of wine. It was my first time - I did not come for a date but just randomly walked in with a group of friends. All the dishes we ordered were very good, with great service and welcomes from both the manager and the waitress. The lamb meat was especially fresh and tasty! Prices were very reasonable compared to the quality of food and service we were receiving. One of our friends did not order anything and the restaurant manager later came out to offer her a samosa appertizer dish on the house - he was super sweet. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again, not only because it deserves 5 stars in every attribute but also because the manager obviously care about his business and the customers! Wish I have taken some pictures - the place looks sparkly clean elegant and cozy

I’m not usually a fan of Indian food but it was really really good the eggplant appetizer was extremely tasty it was to my surprise crispy rather than soggy which was nice and the sauce that they put on it was tasty, also I like the garlic Naan. All the chicken was boneless and it was very tender surprisingly good. Will definitely return

On my first trip to New York, I happened to try this restaurant because of fair Yelp reviews and its proximity to the hotel I was staying. The whole week I was there, we ate 5 times. Staff is very friendly, and the food was just great. Though I must tell that the food may not be typically as spicy as most authentic Indian food. Nevertheless the Lamb dishes, okra and paratha were great tasting and very filling. Didnt have space for dessert. :(

Garlic naan is amazing

One of the worst and costly experience. I haven’t tasted such kind of indian chicken recipe with mixed vegetables which dominated entire taste and feels like vegetable curry . However, the service is poor, but the way he demands for tips is amazing.

Came here for a meal after a great experience with delivery. The be clear: the food is good.However, the service here was super disappointing. Got the feeling the staff was only interested in upselling us on dishes and more wine. And after we agreed to their upselling they just wanted to rush us; the place wasn’t even crowded.

Restaurant looks stylish from the outside and since moving into the neighbourhood last year and walking past a few times, weve wanted to visit here.Finally visited tonight and whilst the food was decent, wont be in a rush to return.Service was just OK, not very attentive despite not being busy.Menu had some interesting options. Not your standard Indian fayre. By Indian I mean the faux butter chicken, bhuna dishes usually found in non traditional Indian restaurants.Meals we ordered were passable without being memorable. No complaints as such, but not good enough to warrant a return visit.

A-mazing food and service! Such a warm welcome. I was actually assisted by three people, one of them recommended food (first time eating here and have no idea what is what so he helped a lot and saved me some time of thinking hehe) , but i mostly talked to Mamu (hopefully i wrote the name properly) who was very kind and professional, plus i got a dessert on the house. Indian food is super delicious, good quality wine and I liked the ambient as well. 5+! Highly recommend to anyone who’s into Eastern Asian cuisine( esp Indian) or simply ends up in this area and need a place to satisfy their appetite.

In this restaurant they dont take the allergies and intolerances seriously. Sadly the waiter lied to us about having almond milk; despite the fact that we mentioned three times we were lactose intolerant. He served us milk and played dumb. The food is nice but its a shame their service is bad.

The best Indian food in Cobble Hill!

Awful experience. The restaurant wasn’t able to fulfill my order. Despite telling me that they would cancel it, they knowing processed a $53 charge to my credit card. It wasn’t until I saw the charge on my card later that I realized that they in fact they did not cancel it and clearly were intending to keep the money.

Unfortunately very slow delivery, waited over an hour even though we live in the area

If you want truly indian food, this is NOT the place to go. Their definition of pulao is rice, tadka and slighly cooked veggies mixed together without any salt or spice.

Ive ordered from this place mostly takeout for a few years before going in one night and sitting at the bar by myself. I typically ordered the salmon Tikka, which is fantastic and occasionally would order the channah masala. The manager and staff were so nice to me, I happened to order channah masala that night because I was craving it and had recently moved upstate. He told me he added chutney to it to make it sweet and spicy, so I have it a shot. Game changer! I will always eat it like that from now on. I love interactions like this and this is why I will continue to support such a wonderful business.

This place is fairly new and doesnt have their liquor license yet, so its BYOB for now. The food we had was delicious. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Lamb Vindaloo which was spicy as all hell, but delicious. Each dish is served with white rice but you can order jasmine rice as a side dish. The garlic butter Naan bread was very tasty as well. Im looking forward to me next visit.
