Great food and lovely atmosphere. Staff are really friendly and professional. The scenery and view is really cool too being near a canal. Been here a few times now and always never disappoints

Visited this place with family.. Buffet cuisine. Good seating setting but too close to each other not enough of space to move around. More choice with Thai food. Most the food is deep fried. Although the seafood straight from the grill is lovely. You have wide variety of desserts too.. You do have to pay for the drinks separately. Only disappointed with one thing when the staff approached us at 22.30hrs and said they had to close the restaurant and that too on a Saturday evening, we literally had to gulp our desserts down the throat.

Great place, fresh food, lots of choice (buffet style) open for lunch or dinner..no need to book unless a large party. Staff are friendly. Inexpensive but nice... vegetarian options & in the evenings you can order something to be freshly grilled for you. My nieces enjoy it too

Spent around our there for lunch. Had a great amount of choices of food for the price we payed. Definitely affordable, but is it good ? Some dishes were amazing, but only few. As its a buffet it okay to expect old people crowd in there. Might be good for cheap parties to take out groups of people who dont like spending money in great restaurants. After all, dont think that well come back again. Even though it was so cheap. You know what they say, quality not quantity. We dont really know what happens backstage. Upfront cheap chicken wings/ thighs / some watery curry. Cheap cuts of pork and mostly vegetables. Dont expect much. Deserts are also not very appetising.Staff will keep monitoring you when you are done which makes it a bit irritating. After all we came there to eat and talk to each other not to be looked into our mouth. But this all will do for one time out :)

It’s nice here. About £8 for lunch and about double for dinner. Not a bad standard and selection of food at all. You have your noodles and rice selection, meats, veg, extras like spring rolls, prawn toast, chips etc. A nice selection of desserts too. I would recommend going here for lunch, I’d like to go back soon. Thank you

Just had a 50% off meal here with the gf.Fresh food was brought out often and was piping hot.Got there for about 20:30 on a Wednesday and wasnt too busy. They have a sort of one way system around the buffet and all staff wore facemasks. The owner was an absolute legend and as soon as he heard the missus lived in Hong Kong, was trying to teach me the language of his homeland!! The guys on the grill are always on point and happy to serve you. Had a great night and looking forward to the next! 👍🏼

Lovely food and quite a varied selection. They have changed a few of the staff who were not right for the restaurant. New staff were very friendly and helpful. Always a nice atmosphere. We have been here quite a few times and have always been treated well. There is a car park opposite which is free after 6.30pm but it fills up very quickly.

Food was fine .service was good. Sunday at 4-6pm. Having read reviews when busy it seems they may struggle but at this time of day food was well stocked, they were quick to take drink orders. No complaints

Great buffet selection. The cook to order section is well worth the short wait. Friendly, efficient staff. They played happy birthday for our large family party, and happily presented the birthday cake with lit candles.

We have been there for the second time, food is good but service,even when you go 2 hours before closing time for lunch they right away tell you they will close soon etc,Even when you say Hi they say that instead of saying Hi first!!And half foods even 40,50 minutes before closing time is empty! And they dont refill them!But restaurant layout is beautiful and food taste is good .

Clean and lovely place. You have a great variety of foods and desserts. They have something for the whole family the children love their sweet selection and food is always fresh and hot. Good service and quality of food. They are always restocking food so it never runs out or gets to a point you have to wait or come back for and item. Definitely will be going again.

Food is quite good, service could be friendlier and a bit more helpful. They are always in a rush to clear plates, maybe a little too eager sometimes. Overall good, and would go back again.

Slowly they seem to getting back to what everyone love instead of some cheap low grade frozen food which would be a big mistake. Please keep it returning to the old ways.

For a buffet, I think this is great. The choice is excellent. As well as the pre cooked buffet tou can also choose things to be cooked in front of you on the hot plate. There is also a great choice of puddings and sweets for after. The staff are also very friendly.

Went there for my birthday. It was very good. Food is a lot better and if you spend over £200 you get a Chinese tea set as a present.

Amazing food

Stylish and lively setting and a lot of space to bring friends and family. Good range of Asian cuisine, including Thai, Chinese, Indian, Japanese - some of it cooked to order right in front of you. Range of desserts too, including sweets and a chocolate fountain. Slightly brusque service and customers of the sort that an all-you-can eat restaurant attracts so somewhere for fun or family rather than a date or a special occasion.

Eat as much as you like for one price. Its just like your local Chinese takeaway only you eat in. be mindful of the following you are not allowed in just to sit with a friend or you dont eat you will still be charged. If your child is even the tiniest bit over 90cm they will be charged for regardless to whether they eat or not. The food was okish our local Chinese food is much better but you do have the privilege of trying as many dishes as you like. And at £15.99 / £16.99 a bit pricey.

We used to always have family functions for more than 20 people at Thames restaurant. Always have enjoyed the food and the excellent service. But in the recent past standards have dropped down immensely. Last night we booked a table for eight people at 8pm and it took more than 20 mins to bring the drinks order and most of the dishes were empty and have to wait around for quite some times to replenish the food. When we left the restaurant we decided never to go there again. Overall very disappointed.

Plenty of varieties, I enjoyed the Sechzuan Chicken meal, and many more. Staff were very friendly and it is a buffet restaurant, one cannot expect the level of silver service. Children love the idea desserts areas.Many thanks to all.

Simply awful service - rude and unfriendly staff, zero effort to accommodate any needs such as dietary details or asking for a specific table away from crowd. Worst food in Brentford. I recommend any of the Italian, Indian, Turkish or Portuguese restaurants that are nearby.

Took my younger brother for his birthday and the staff were rude and have a very bad attitude. Now I’ve been several times before and I would have previously rated it 3 stars but on this occasion i felt that my brother and his friends were slightly racially targeted. Now they was happy to serve my partner but my younger coloured brother and his coloured friends got awful service compared to the rest off the restaurant.They were refused table service as apparently the just didn’t want to give us table service for drinks, we had to pay upfront for drinks, which then wasn’t made there and then it was told it was going to be brought to us, and we waited and waited and asked for an update on the drinks but was told it was busy and to wait some more. The restaurant was probably 1/3 full. Not busy enough to take as long as it did, so one off the boys took it upon themselves to go and get a bottle off water from the shop next door and I don’t blame him as he was eating a spicy curry.Never have I felt so uncomfortable from the looks I was getting and i heartache I felt for my 14year old brothers and his friends.Whether it’s the skin colour or the age it was not fair for them to be treated this way and the restaurant should take a good look at the hospitality that they serve with the food! Because a restaurant without good customer service is not the place any person wants to go for there dinner or birthday I can assure you now!The food was average, chicken quite dry and not as much selection.I definitely won’t be visiting again.

Avoid!Came here to have a quick lunch at around 3pm but unfortunately from the start to the end the staff was sooooo rude, as we entered the restaurant first we had been told that they are closing buffet at 4:45pm didn’t get no hello nothing in a rash way like you are not welcome here. We had been ask to go for a table, we asked if we can seat close to the buffet the waiter said he we cannot rearranged the table specially for us. Food is average and very oily as we were here before. As we left we called to the manager to explain what happened and he didn’t want to listen a complain he just hung up. Can’t recommend, definitely not coming back!

I took my two children to this restaurant for half term Easter holidays great food but they charge my son which is 12 year old adult fee because of his height I truly disagree with that because children of his age also this generation are growing more then they look and the restaurant should consider children has children not adults also ask to speak to the manager to have a word and he was extremely rude and told me he does not care then said to me to go to trading union and make a complaint not considering that im with my kids so I wont be going back to this restaurant again and I will recommend not to take children , my sons are 3 years old and 12 years old absolutely crazy

I had the misfortune of visiting this restaurant. To start, on walking through the front door the hostility of the manager was palpable it was like my custom had ruined his already horrific day. No hello just the messaged delivered that the prices had been raised for the day as it was a bank holiday. Irritating, but I had committed to dining there already. After grabbing my food, the full plate was picked up and thrown in the bin when I went to get a napkin. Totally perplexed on its disappearance, I walked around asking if any of the waiters had seen the plate. When i found the culprit, I was told its a buffet just get more. The most horrendous aspect of the entire experience was a group of male chefs gawping at me the ENTIRE time I was eating. It was like walking through a seedy market town late at night. I felt so uncomfortable I had to leave . Visiting this place is like getting a glimpse into what it must be like living in a totalitarian state.. the management are absolutely miserable, bark at you and watch you like a hawk. Its a shame as its in a great location. The food is a 6/10 but the restaurant is totally let down by the staff - totally resented parting with my cash. Horrible experience.

More like a regular Chinese buffet restaurant and nothing special about the food and very bad service. The name of the restaurant seems to portray otherwise. The two Chinese male managers were extremely rude. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. They were not able to properly explain to us why they accept some form of payment and not others when the information they have displayed tells something different. I wouldnt recommend the place to anyone.

Wanted to give it a 5 star but unfortunately due to one of the staff member who was a young blond polish guy had to give it a four. The food was amazing and especially the guy in cooking section was very much helpful . His customer service was absolutely amazing like his cooking ( ordered king prawns and salmon). The atmosphere was pleasant and clean . The overall service was brilliant apart from the guy mentioned as he was bit all over as if hes never seen few people.

Where do I start??!! We got to our table which was right between 3 others so a bit of a squeeze when the other side of the restaurant was empty. Waited 20 minutes for someone to ask if we wanted a drink. My daughter was already eating when a member of staff stopped her and wanted to check her height! Seriously what the F**k is wrong with you! The food was cold and there was hardly any of it. All the eastern European guys were standing there watching whilst a young Asian girl was doing all the running around! When I told them the food was cold he smiled at me and nodded as though he didnt understand a word I was saying. What is wrong with this place? Used to be such a nice place but for the money it cost me I couldve and shouldve gone somewhere else. Absolutely disgusted with the place and the staff.

First went there when it first opened as the Thames Buffet, was very impressed then and as I work at the West Mid hospital had a few meals with colleagues for various functions where they kindly gave us a 15% discount as NHS employees, as long as we showed our IDs, so yesterday myself, wife and her family a party of 10 went there for lunch where the name has now changed to the China Buffet, shutting beforehand for an alledged £80,000 refurbishment couldnt see where that money had been spent to be honest as the venue looked the same as before apart from a Robot receptionist that talks to you and is supposed to seat you it didnt of coursewe sat down to hopefully enjoy our me, but sadly the food although plenty of choice has sadly declined I love sweet and sour chicken but what was on offer had been watered down with so much vinegar I couldnt eat it. I had spoken to the duty manager asking if our NHS discount still applied, he started shouting saying they have never given discount ah well shame that my unit at work is supposed to be going there on December the 20th for our Christmas meal, Ill be having words with them tomorrow warning them beforehand, I hope this place improves the waiting staff are very good but the manager needs to go on a customer service course, if he speaks like that to customers I dread to think how he talks to his staff, all he had to say Im sorry we cant do discount at the moment but that may change in the future, other customers were shocked at the way he spoke to us, I was only asking so I could pass that on to my colleaguesf when they visit.

Best going on a Saturday evening or Sunday for the best range of food. Wouldnt do a Saturday daytime. It has a fairly good menu and the price isnt too bad. The staff work hard, didnt feel rushed to leave.

RUDE!Website says one thing, Manager says another...and then is rude about it!Funny enough before turning up a friend spotted a review below about the restaurant not welcoming guests in- and that is exactly what we got.Instead of being invited in for a drink or to wait- even though we turned up seemingly on time- the member of staff insisted that they dont open till 5.30 and ushered us out of the restaurant.Would have waited if they were polite but who cares, if you treat people like that,you dont deserve our custom!

We had a birthday dinner here, not only did they bring a cake over and put a song on, they also gave us a lovely tea set as a present! The food is a wide variety and by far better than many chinese buffets. The drinks were brough to us in minutes ! Thank you to the staff and the manager, friendly and attentive :)

If I had the chance to review it as minus 0 I would of. The service was so so bad. Before you even sat down, you get shouted at and bad attitude gets thrown at you.The food was absolutely disgustingly dry, cold and 100% not fresh. My child who is 3 years old did not eat and did not want to eat a she never liked it, still had to pay. Its not about the money at the end of the day its about the PRINCIPLE!!!!!The poor child had a couple of sweets lol and was charged £7.50.Please please please stay away from this place.

Charged my 10 year old adult prices due to her height over 150cm, the manager rudely insisted this was placed 4 years (lies, went there in 2014 and discriminated heightboard was not in place) the managers circle the tables like a prison wardens, not a wide selection of dishes but very tasty. Wont be returning again due to pricing based on height.

Pretty poor really. Mothers day was busy and they told us they would be closing early because it had been a long day. I guess they already made enough money for the day. Food is ok, nothing special, just like every other eat as much as you like if anything this one is a bit overpriced for the selection available. If you need food fast and its the only thing local and open then go for it, if not you can do better locally.

Food was nice, selection good but unfortunately some of the desert was old (avoid chocolate coated crispies) it tasted like it was made a few weeks ago! When spoke to waiter, I asked him if it was display or to eat? He said to eat, despite me mentioning the taste he just shrugged his shoulders walked off and said I dont know - what ashame to the experience.
