Finest Indian cuisine in Brantford ☺️The ambience is perfectly perfect 😍 they play evergreen Indian songs. Moreover their walls depict great culture of Indian. Very clean restaurant and the service is kind and polite too.I tried :Paneer Tikka Masala ⭐️Vegetarian Kolhapuri ⭐️NaanJeera riceAnd Gulab JamunEverything was on point. Not to salty not to spicy 🌶 just perfect and creamy.Would definitely come back here. Very pocket friendly as well. 🤗

Wow the worst service on the planet. Part main dishes before appetizers , how do you screw that up. 1.5 hrs and still waiting for part of the order. Hair in the rice, OMG never going back. Then to top it off the let in 4 unmasked village idots that claimed medical excemption. Staff took mask over and they refused, why let them in ??? Reported to the local health unit , with pics of the idiots, if you wonder why the covid is not under control

Lunch was lovely and a lot of food. Vaccine passports were checked. I was surprised that the buffet was open.

Have been coming for many years. The reno is beautiful. Place is clean. Food is delicious and consistent. 1 star off for not replenishing food at buffet when it runs out. Good separation between veg and non-veg. This is my favourite Indian restaurant.

We ate at this amazing restaurant yesterday. The food was delicious, the choice amazing, the restaurant itself is modern, stylish, and the murals on the wall, along with the music leaves no doubt that you are in an Indian Restaurant, The Restaurant is immaculate. Finally buffet is back, YAY!! Great food, so hot and delicious. Server was very good, she was very busy. It is too bad customers not too understanding, and down right rude. Be patient people its a new chapter in our lives. Be courteous to others and you will not only get rewarded, but also feel good about yourself, tip well when deserved. If you see your server working hard they are all doing the best they can. Thank you Taal for a wonderful lunch!!

Came in the area from Toronto. After looking at the reviews and pictures decided to dine in as it seemed like a pretty good place. The place might look nice but not at all happy with the food. Waste of money

I dont deny that the food is good but when did the service go so downhill? It seems that now that indoor dining is back takeout takes a back seat. Not only over an hour wait for 2 items and appetizers but shorting food on an order that was paid for is irresponsible.If you want to order take out, be prepared to wait longer now that diners are back at the buffet. Better still, just order from any of the newer Indian restaurants in the downtown core.

I have been meaning to visit Taal since their renovations and I finally got to try the lunch buffet and it was fabulous.The restaurant itself is tastefully designed with a clean, bright environment. I had arrived just as they were opening and they were still filling the buffet when I started. Everything I tried was delicious and perfectly spiced. The lunch pricing was extremely reasonable considering the quality and variety available. Of course I gorged myself before they were able to load the whole buffet and I wrapped my leftover Naan bread to enjoy later. It’s great to have such a top quality restaurant like this in Brantford.If you haven’t been yet you really need to drop whatever you are doing a go. Your wallet and stomach will thank you!!

Amazing choices, impressive restaurants and delicious food. We have visited the place 5 times, the food is very good here. They always provide the food with less oil and keeping health in mind as well. We highly suggest visiting the restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

I want to start off this review by saying that I love Taal and its a five star restaurant in my heart. Ive been going for more that 10 years and I even had my wedding reception there.However, one thing that has been consistent over that 10 year period is the really sub-par service.Ill still go back soon and thoroughly enjoy the food.

Enjoyed the delicious buffet after the reopening. Butter chicken. Lots of vegan options. A symphony gor the taste buds. 😋 and the decor is very tastefully done in contemporary style theme.

I Placed an order of channa bhatura and went to pick my order there was tall guy came with attitude and double checked my food and ready with bill when i checked my food they packed Chana sabji, Allu sabji and salad which is raw onions and carrots pickle, They packed everything in one bowl yes everything was mixed in a bowl i cant believe, when i asked him that you putt pickle everything in chana sabji bowl he said This is the way we do packing if you want separate next time mention it like seriously it is common sense you! im getting my food from last 10 years and nobody did this before. i just want to say if you cant serve people with respect and with your responsibilities than take vacations and stay home. Just visited the renovated taal for the first time since the renovations, great job, very impressed with the style and work done, great food, more items added to the buffet.

I love this place, and cannot wait for it to be open for dine in! Perfect spicing, and the recipes really hit the mark. Been coming here for 8 years and so great to see their evolution.

Food is average. Kinda the only option in town so not much better to look around for. Service is the worst on gods green earth. The staff slin around with no purpose. Prices arent bad. If they had any competition they wud donk like the titanic but for now theyre afloat CIA theyre the only game in town

Awesome little Indian buffet. The foods amazing and they have a good selection at both lunch and dinner. Some of the food is on the spicer side, so if youre not into that watch what you grab. The korma and butter chicken is delicious as are the samosas. The service here is good, polite and your water glass will constantly be refilled. The bathroom is a bit scary but since Im not eating in there and only used it once it has no affect on my review.

So Taal has always been one of my favourite places to eat in Brantford, so I was a little sad when they temporarily closed for renovation. BUT they are now open!!!!! The food is still just as delicious, and the inside decor and seating area was beautifully done. Such a clean and elegant looking place now. This place continues to out do itself. I highly recommend you give them a try and support this wonderful local restaurant! Glad to have them open for business again! 🤗

If you folks think this is what Indian food is like, youve been fooled.They served us worst kababs, which were cold from inside and when asked to replace, I got billed twice...Lamb Balti was pathetic, chicken tandoori has uncooked spices inside of it....I am so embarrassed thar this joint is giving bad name to our food.Service is so so bad.

Went last night, my partner was eating buffet and I wasn’t overly hungry so I opted to order off the menu. I was shocked that it took 30 minutes for them to take my order and then an additional 40 minutes to receive my meal. My partner was done their meal at this time and I had to have mine as take out. They were so understaffed and the communication to patrons about wait times and what was happening with their meals was non existent.

The food was amazing. Very authentic flavours. We loved it. Will definitely be back. We tried a few different curries and they were all delicious.

The place can be so good with their lightning and the adjusting of the tables ..it looks so congested and the lightning is more other than that the FOOD and serving is so goood

This restaurant is around 100 km away from my home. I saw it’s name on the way while driving. It was lunch time so out of curiosity I went on google maps to check about this restaurant and after reading so many good reviews, I decided to try it.Garlic naan was the best naan I ever had and other items were also delicious.This restaurant surely deserve 5 star⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Very very very good food! The staff is super attentive and very friendly.During these times the buffet operates differently. You have a choice of three mains and then you get rice and naan bread as well as a dessert.

Although customer service was better then the last few times we have been, they were not overly concerned about how many people were in the buffet area, not socially distanced!! As well, so many patrons walking around WITHOUT masks on. Buffet was running low and some items were completely out without being restocked. Naans were undercooked. Gulab jaman were topped up but still frozen in the middle. Quite disappointing.Understandably it’s been quite some time since buffets were available however I observed people piling up their plates with no concern if there was any left for others.Now that there are other options in Brantford for Indian cuisine, will definitely be checking them out. Taal needs to step up in following health and safety if they want to attract outside the Indian community!

Mixed Tandoori platter is amazing. Biryani is spicy and tasty.Good portions and decent prices.

I placed an order at last moment before closing but still the staff was happy and helped me have some great smelling food.Samosas are so good.Soft,hot and fresh, not too much crunchy (you can eat them without even help of napkins)Please add cream rolls in your menu.

I cant recall the names of the two dishes we ordered but they were delicious. It was very generous, and we ate it over 2 days. Spicy just right. Generous pieces of chicken. My husband had a beef curry. He raved about that.

I had an amazing experience! This place was highly recommended by my friend, I had never tried Indian food before but I absolutely loved it! We ordered the butter chicken and it tasted amazing, even my 3 year old son loved the curry of it! The staff was very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend, its a great place to go with your family.

I really love this place...it was my first time there and I must say the staff was so polite, helpful and generous. The food was in my opinion excellent if youre looking for a rich beef korma full of spice and flavour then this is your restaurant. The butter chicken had an interesting tomato base mixed with a beautiful rich and creamy texture. I could go on but Im afraid youll have to check it out for your self 😋

The newly renovated restaurant is lovely. Food and service was excellent.

We ordered food over the phone , it came quickly but was wrong , what was supposed to be a $45 order ended up over $90 because the person that took the order could barely speak a word of English . It took countless attempts of repeating ourselves to give the order in the first place and then when we called once arrived to report the errors the same guy kept talking over me and wouldnt listen , never mind understand what I was saying , the delivery driver also mentioned he cant understand a word of what this member of staff says and often gets the addresss wrong for delivery . In the end we accepted the order with the mistakes because we were hungry and the food was great but to the owner of Taals , please employ someone that can speak English moderately well enough to communicate properly .

The go to place for Indian food in Brantford. I did take out and the wait is not too long if you purchase common items that are already on the buffet. I have eaten in but a long time ago and the service was ok. If you come from a cultural background that does not do spicy like me, everything on the menu has heat even if they say it doesntl just a heads up. So I am learning what dishes I can and cannot eat because while I enjoy the food, I have a low tolerance for spicy/heat. Overall very satisfied with the food.

Hi folks, The Taal Restaurant in Brantfordmakes the best Indian food in the whole GTA. I finally decided to write a review... Ive eaten a lot of Indian food, I cook it myself and in India...butnothing can come close to the quality and flavor, Here in Hamilton we have India Village, which is also really good...a 9 out of 10... but for quantity ,quality and just sheer perfection I would highly recommend the Taal.Our favorite are the (vege)..Chana, Eggplant(w cashews) ... (meat)..Lamb Jalfrezi and the Chicken Makhani ...OMG ! soo good, we now make special trips to Brantford or come up with excuses to go there so we can pick some up. So 4 dishes should feed 5 good portions, we make our own rice so works out to about $60. The Naan is excellent (esp.Garlic) is extra.

Lots of room to improve quality. Tried three times and everytime complain about digestive issue from all family members and friends. Also taste of food is not that great. However, with our Brantford city not a bad option. Server are good responsive but kitchen staff looks very slow responsive.very impressive set up.

Food and price were good. Ordered take out at 5pm for 6pm pick up. Order was not ready till 6:25pm. 4 or 5 people waiting for pick up also said their order was around 1/2hr behind.

Very poor service. Only person in service. Very poor management. For order they will receive your call and then put on hold for 10 minutes and same thing when you go picking up your food.

Food is so delicious !! We are foody and love to eat outside.I was looking for good Indian food restaurants and came across Taal recommended by a lot of my coworkers.We ordered everything spicy:chicken Briyani,chicken lababdar, fish Tikka.It was 10/10 ,loved it and will continue to go to Taal.Customer service was good , they accidentally gave us wrong Briyani and made the right order immediately.Protion size is good compare to other restaurants in the area.Price is reasonable and dont mind paying for good food.

Food is excellent and no complaints there. I had to wait 33 minutes for a take-out buffet and the lady behind me waited 26 minutes for her take out buffet. The place only had 9 people there eating for night time which isn’t busy at all. I find the problem for Taal has always always been they’re understaffed and the staff they do have look tired and run down from too much work. Also that staff can come across as rude or disconnected. Perhaps it’s a cultural thing or they are just tired or rude. Something needs to be addressed about it. Please hire more people to serve the customers. Yes you may have to spend more money to do that which I know you don’t want too but it will pay off in the end with happy customers. Thank you and God Bless

But if and when I do get the craving, I always look for a restaurant that has the buffet option. That way, I can eat my favourite dishes. And so I was thrilled to find Taal. The driveway and the building itself are just plain, no impact. I was greeted by a young and smiling man. The place was clean and simply adorned.

The food is delicious but Id advise you to order for take out or delivery. Service here is seriously sub par. You wont be attended to once the waiter leaves your table, and you wont be getting refills on your drink at all. And youll be waiting an hour for anything to come to your table.

Unprofessional Staff, doesnt know how to treat customers. Every food item is too sweet even after the server said it would be spicy. Servers must be trained how to talk to customers.

Delivery showed up after an hour and a half, thirty minutes past the time they promised it by. I had debit to pay, and the driver tells me he accepts only cash, and that I should of told them when I ordered I wanted to pay by debit. Told the guy Id just drive to the store and pay for it, only to have him go back to his car and get a debit machine from his wife. Guy told me it was his personal debit machine and not company debit machine?? Really poor service, definitely wont be ordering again.
