Had a great meal at Tandoor. They are only doing carryout until we get past Covid, but their online ordering was easy. I got Garlic Naan, chicken 65, Tandoori Wings and Madras chicken which came with rice. I got them at HOT spice and let me tell you, while it doesnt burn the mouth, I was sweating like I was in a sauna!The goodThe Naan was excellent.The Chicken 65 had some great flavorThe Mafras chicken has a great sauce and had tons of chicken. It went great over the rice.The BadIt really isnt bad, but I was the most excited about the tandoori Wings. I love tandoori chicken and I love wings, but I just didnt get into them. I figured they would come out super crispy, but the skin on the wings was floppy. I liked the flavor, just not the execution. I dont know, maybe Ill try them again and ask for crispy. Still not enough to take away from the other excellent food.If you are looking for some great Indian food, give Tandoor a try.

I have had at least ten items off the menu and have been absolutely amazed with everything! It is all made fresh and the flavors and spices are perfect. You are missing out on some amazing food if you have not tried Tandoor. The only issue is not ordering the whole menu!

Comfort when needed! Garlic Chili Naan, Samosas and Chicken Tikka Masala! All amazing, fresh and ready as ordered. Im so happy to have finally tried Tandoor and even more that it is in such close proximity to me. I used their online ordering thru Clover which was seamless and allowed for tipping. I have never left a review for a restaurant so this should speak volumes! You very rarely go to a restaurant that both the food and customer service is both beyond exceptional. This is one of those places! I have been eating Indian food my whole life and still have yet to find something I don’t like from here. My favorite item is the chicken tikka roll and trust me you have to try it! Really great job to the owners and staff! If you haven’t been here run don’t walk!

Ordered for the first time and the food was really good. Malai kofta exceeded expectations whereas kadai paneer was OK. Combination of Paneer kulcha and garlic naan was great. Egg biryaani is amazing.Definitely worth giving a try.

It’s been a while since we had Indian cuisine. Just happened to be in the area. Really good takeout experience. Food was hot fresh and we were happy with the portion and level of spice.

Based on the reviews we placed a large order for my husbands birthday yesterday. Im so glad we did, not only were the staff super friendly and helpful getting the food to the car but it was delicious as well! We will definitely be back.

We have enjoyed many meals from Tandoor since moving to this area. Their food, even when delivered, has always been fresh, hot and amazing! Tandoor is a family owned business and they are friendly and professional. This is a family favorite of ours! Today we had our second take out in six months. I may now review they provide consistently good food at reasonable prices! We ordered Samosa, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Birlyani, and regular Naan.

This place is simply the best. Unbeatable on all levels. Great service, amazing food and reasonable pricing. I highly recommend!

The food was mediocre at this restaurant. The wait time to get food-to-go was too long. Additionally, the portion size is too small for the amount of money they charge for their dishes. The container was only a quarter of the way filled. Not a good value for the money. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for an Indian restaurant. There are way too many better options in Brandon for Indian food that serve better food and better value for the money.

This place always has amazing food. The facility is very clean. The young lady in the front with the long hair and glasses is especially helpful.

Tried this place for the first time through delivery - I have def found my new go-to for Indian. Samosa were mild, but very flavorful. The entrees were cooked perfectly - vegetables were tender, but not at all mushy. Portion sizes were large so Ill be enjoying leftovers tomorrow.

Updated review: Shortly after my initial review, i found out I have celiac disease which is a gluten allergy. Most Indian food is naturally gluten free so that was good news! But there is always a concern when dining out with cross contamination.. However, I have not had any reaction to this food and it is still the best Indian food here locally! I am very happy this is something I can continue to eat. The food is so good! I like spicy flavorful foods and Tandoor delivers the level of heat you want without compromising flavor. Ive only ordered twice but Ive tried like 6 different items and all of them were delicious! I wish I took photos but I was too busy eating.

They still have the dining room closed. At this point, they are just being lazy. The food was Ok but with no dining inside, there are many ch better options for Indian food!

I tried this place for the first time and (with trying to be constructive versus nasty with my words) the food was not very good at all. The naan was not good nor was the dishes I ordered. I was super excited to try this restauarnt and the food was bland and really lacked flavor. It was like it was frozen food. It is hard to describe, but it was not flavorful.! I wasted $40 and felt bad for wasting it so I rinsed off the chicken and gave it to my dogs. I have not felt this dissapointed about the quality of food, really ever!

Bought a Biriyani and Tandoor- Tikka today afternoon. Biryani rice was mushy and over cooked. Tandoor-tikka was so overcooked and tasted like rubber. The spices and paprika was not cooked and was almost raw. Unfortunately very very disappointed with the food.Update: owner responded to this review and they were willing to fix the issue. We were provided the same dishes and this time, Tikka tasted like tikka(perfectly cooked) and Biryani tasted much better than last time. So glad that the restaurant still maintains the standard and was willing to be constructive about the issue.

Consistently delicious, very very fresh, and with rich flavor. This has become a regular go to place for us over the last year and we have never been disappointed.

This is a family owned Buisness and the owners cook themselves making the food taste fantastic! Very reasonably priced and very good proportions aswell! Also thank you Caitlyn for being super nice and helpful.

The food was brought out promptly, and the service was pretty good. I would just like to make a suggestion for the masala dosa. It would have been good if it was a bit more crispier. I felt it was tasty, but sort of soggy. It would have been better if there was just a little less filling and a bit more crispiness, but otherwise it was good. I also enjoyed the mango lassi.

Excellent food, perfectly cooked and served promptly. We ordered by phone for pick up, which is all that’s offered right now. The meals were ready within a couple of minutes of when they said it would be. Not the cheapest meal out, but really good.

I am not an expert on Indian cuisine, but I tend to enjoy it. Ive been to Tandoor Indian 3 or 4 times now. Theres not much in the way of atmosphere. Heck, the smallish dining room has an echo because theres no decor. BUT, the food has been consistently mouthwatering, and that trumps all else. Staff have been great about answering my questions about the menu & making recommendations, and theyre very attentive. If they spruced up the decor a bit, I could give them 5 stars. But I dont need decor to bring me back. The food & service keep doing that.

The food is really amazing here. The flavors are traditional and the hostess is super nice. Most people seem to get take out but we like dining in. I believe its a family owned business and you can tell the food here is made with care. If you have a craving for Indian food, this place will not disappoint!

Usually visit this place for the Goat biryani which is well prepared. The meat is tender unlike a few other Indian restaurants.

My wife got the dish I ordered with the spice level she asked for and they served me her dish with the spice level I ordered. The food looked like it was just some cooked frozen vegetables in sauce. Whoever is cooking in their kitchen does not like what they are doing because there is no love in the taste of the food. We will NOT be going back. If you want REALLY GOOD Indian Food go to Tandoor .... on University Dr in Sarasota.

We’ve ordered from here 8-10 times and are still surprised by how amazing the food is... every single time. In fact, I think we’ll place an order now! Their Shrimp Vindaloo is my favorite but only barely more than Rogan Josh.

Best Indian food Ive had so far in the Tampa area! They also have great portion sizes and lunch specials. My coworkers and I come here often on education days and we will keep coming back for more!

Id be suspect of anyone giving this place a 1 star. They are fake-no other reviews. I am not one to really take chances with restaurants but we were really pleased for taking this chance. Weve actually spent time in India and the food and presentation are authentic. So many options on the menu, we had to try about 7 different items! Anyway, just go and try it yourself. Something for everyone. Spicy or not.

Wonderful place, we are so glad to have discovered it. Tough to see from the main road and easy to miss the parking lot entrance so Google Map it and look carefully. We have made plenty if U turns to get there because TOTALLY worth it. A lot more variety on the menu than some other places around and everything is delicious! Appears to be run by a family and they are all so polite and friendly.

This was my first time trying Indian Cuisine, so my party had many questions, and we are very pleased that we chose Tandoor, the staff was super friendly and very accommodating, the food was very delicious! The only Indian restaurant in Brandon that tastes good. The place is super busy on weekends. We always prefer a takeout and call ahead. The goat biryani and goat curry is our regular.

The food here is delicious. I read all of the reviews and figured that I should be able to find something to satisfy my picky taste buds. They exceeded my expectations. I dont like Basmati rice without sauce covering it but theirs was delicious as is. The tandoori chicken was delicious and I asked for butter sauce for the rice but ended up eating it alone. Ill definitely be returning.

Excellent! My first time having the food here. I was craving aloo matar and saw Tandoor had a similar dish but it didn’t have peas like aloo matar. I asked if they could make it with peas, and they happily obliged. I was ecstatic. I also ordered the samosas (the sauce they came with was amazing). The portions were huge and the flavor was incredible. I’ll be back for sure.

You may think since it’s in a little plaza the food may not be worth it or authentic, but that’s not true whatsoever! The food is AMAZING! Real authentic Indian food! You will not be disappointed. The service is wonderful, my servers were kind and always checking in on me. I will definitely be coming back for more! 10/10!💜

I just moved from Cincinnati, where there is some amazing Indian food places. I have been searching for a good place around here and found it at Tandoor! The food was amazing and some of the best that I have had. The staff was lovely and attentive. I cannot wait to go back!
