A hidden underrated gem. I havent experienced such good south indian/ sri lankan food in entire Brampton. Its surprisingly reasonable , I mean two can dine under 15 dollars. Their kothu roti is amazing.Chicken one is beyond delicious. Their sambhar is like a blast of flavours. And a special shout out to the owner for being so kind and welcoming. Its rare to see such hospitality now a days.A must visit place which needs our support.

Very nice gentleman runs the place. Food is always good and fresh. One of best Dosas in area. The prices are way better than many restaurants. Only thing is that it takes long time to get your food ready but it worth the wait. Also you can call ahead and order to avoid waiting.

Rice and curries are the best ! Right level of oil and spices. Try their tea latte with vada during lunch hours. Its delicious ! Food is reasonably priced and of good quality. Sometimes you need ample time and be patient to enjoy freshly made food for you. Always a good idea to call before to order food. I am a repeat customer and been enjoying his food since he opened.

This restaurant has been a staple for me since I discovered it, in late 2016. The rice and curries are always fresh, delicious, and hot. As a vegan, the healthy meals + the cheap price point is so rare to find and something I am very grateful for. Ive brought many of my friends here from different ethnicities and all of them have nothing but good things to say. The vegetable patties are also to die for. Love it love it love it!!! Can get a huge meal and be stuffed for $6 or less.

Im not from the area but whenever I visit I always make sure to eat here at least once! When I do, I get everything on the menu that I can have. The variety of options for vegetarians/vegans is amazing– the curries, patties, samosas, roti– everything is freshly made, very authentic, and delicious. On top of everything, the food is very affordable and is locally run. Sockan Cafe is definitely one of my favourite spots in the GTA!

Usually good medhu-vada and Ive bought from them several times. This time however, they were extra hard and just not the same. Called them the following day (bring a take-out order), explained the situation to them and the guy agreed that there was a mistake on their end and they missed putting baking soda into the mix and also didnt let the dough sit for long enough. I asked if they could give me 10-12 vadas as we still had Sambhar sitting at home and the guy said sorry. I couldnt believe it. Even though he agreed that there was a mistake on their end. Bye bye Sockan. Clearly you dont need my money or business

I walked in at 3pm and they don’t really have any food. Told me to come back at 8pm waste of my time they should only open at 8pm
