Very decent takeaway with good portion sizes. I ordered garlic chilli chicken, haryali chicken and tandoori roti. Haryali chicken is slightly salty but rest is all spotless. The chicken is extremely tender and juicy. Service is excellent and the young lady at the counter is very polite and humble.Ill definitely visit again.

We had a brilliant dinner tonight. Our first trip to a curry house since the first restrictions and what a treat it was. Naan breads and onion bhajis have definitely improved since new ownership and the Shahi Special was delicious. Other plus points: nice new decor, good service and being able to bring our own booze in from home!

It was a quiet time when we went for dinner. To be fair, the reviews for this place were great. Personally I did not like the food served nor the service. There was a huge delay for the food to arrive. The food was not great and we left behind most of what was ordered. It was probably a one off. Will give it a try again as the reviews were pretty decent. First time was definitely a bad experience.

Used a few times, food was ok initially but 2nd time was average and 3rd it was poor. Salmon tikka starter was so poor it went in the bin. Delivery also messed up, rice had to be chased and came separately. No apology from restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant. Go to Sainsbury and buy a microwave meal instead.

Shahi was our top most favourite restaurant for years and our family used to call it a hidden gem. But unfortunately it has changed management recently and the chefs have changed. Since then it has lost its quality. The food is simply nowhere what it used to be. We are gutted since it used to be our go to place for a delicious meal every time we wanted Napalese delicacies. I hope the previous owner opens somewhere again and we find it’s new place.

Shahi was an outstanding restaurant with a point of difference. Since being taken over by spice merchant its lost all that and has blended into averageness. Food is OK, but gone are the distinctive flavours of Nepal.

Been loyal customers of the previous owners, so thought we would finally give the new ones a try. Although we ordered our usual dishes, they tasted completely different no flavour and swimming in oil. Very disappointed, wont be returning.

So sad. This used to be my favourite place to get food in Bracknell, or even wider afield. The nepalese food was amazing. So disappointed to see that it’s changed hands and all the great menu items have been removed.

First time ordering from here. We always use our local Wokingham place. This place was awesome. The king prawn nawabi was excellent. The mrs loved the bhuna, and the kids loved the balti. Big portions, beautiful taste, we all agreed its the best .Baji is as big as your fist !!

Best take away in Bracknell by far

I LOVEEEE THIS RESTAURANT!!! THEIR BUTTER CHICKEN IS THE BEST!! I have been eating here for the past 2 years and honestly is the best INDIAN I have ever tasted I cannot go anywhere else!! I have tried Indian in different places and it just isnt the same. So Im lucky I live only 5 mins away from them and can get it at anytime. Honestly I highly recommend this restaurant above all the other Indian restaurants in the local area.

This is obviously one of the best place to eat in the region. Every time I come to this place I am highly pleased. They preserve their high standard service and the topmost level of dishes they give. You will be always satisfied with this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

First time ordering from Shahi, and what can I say... absolutely delicious, even so that I called them back to tell them!!We ordered a Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Korma, pilau rice, naan, and onion Bhajees and it came to £22!! (First order we had 20% off) and they chucked us in some free popadoms and yoghurt sauce!Both meat dishes were completely fresh, and I must say the jalfrezi was so so tasty!!! Left an unreal taste in my mouth!Delivery was about an hour as they stated (to be expected on Xmas eve)Very happy we chose Shahi and will definitely be ordering from them again!Thank you :)

Worst Indian food I have ever had in UK.Butter Chicken was overly sweet.Naan bread was so tasteless and thick.Lamb curry was not that great too.Ordered kebab and Chicken starter, which was OK.

Quiet Sunday Night - but busy with takeaways , [ A Good Sign 😊 ] was Pom’s night off . Very attentive service and first rate food , drink - you can tell this is a family run restaurant. They live nearby, to us. We have been here many times, again Shahi is always highly recommended – remember BOTH Indian AND Nepalese food . I/we can’t recommend the food and service highly enough - We will go again, obviously. Thank you & compliments of the season.

Used to be the best Nepalese / Indian around and was a lifesaver during lockdown. Its now under new ownership/management and its gone downhill a lot. Im not going back anymore. Overcooked chicken, soggy biryani, bland sauces and burnt nan bread.

This is my local Indian restaurant...2mins walk from home,I went in to order take away...food is always tasty,🤤 piping hot and pretty quickly served. Pricing is good too.Staff always very friendly and welcoming..only gave 4stars and restaurant itself is a little dated inside and could do with modernising...I would definitely say to give them a try!!!🙂I have just been to shahi for my weekly fix and am very sad to say it has changed hands😔...apparently its the same owners as of the spice lounge now...all I can say is that the food was no where near the same quality...I am devastated!!!...you have been warned!!!...

The food is good but not the best. Ive had take away from them and Ive been dinning there. Some times the same dish is cooked different. It can be very tasty or either missing some flavour. Overall its ok. Dinning is not to bad. The restaurant is not big but looks great. I took one star because they dont have many options for wine by the glass . The only one is the house wine.

Food is always good, whether you go to the restaurant or order take away/delivery. Nice variety and good flavours, big portions too. Beer at the restaurant isnt the cheapest but thats true of most curry houses.

We are from out of town, staying at the Hilton hotel, which had awful buffet food. So we took a gamble and went here. It was amazing! So glad we did. Food was great, service was great, and really good value for money. Will definitely recommend to others.

It’s a shame. The food is good but it took 1.5 hours for delivery. Had to chase it up twice. For this reason I wouldn’t order take away from here again.

Just had a quiet Saturday lunchtime curry, and had a wonderful meal. Attentive service and flavourful, well cooked food. Lamb Everest and King Prawn Jalfrezi especially delicious.

Today while ordering food i found out that owner as well chef had changed but thought for giving it try. I am vegetarian and ordered only vegetarian food. For last 5 years i have been regular to Shahi almost once in two weeks on average. Food was always top quality. Today the food we ordered matches no where in taste and quality. Also i ordered chilly panner as starter and got gravy one . All i can say that the taste for which shahi was known had gone . Now this is not a Nepali restaurant. Another disaster stuck in 2020.

A big group us went here on a Friday lunchtime for a leaving meal, as withing walking distance of our workplace. Service was fantastic and food was amazing- I highly recommend the Nepalese items on the menu.

As always under the view of the mighty mount everest and the common farmer ploughing his fields with his holy cows, whilst being wished the merriest of Christmas the food was spectacular. Friends of goodwill indulged in the mightiest of feast and the one and only Shahi. Beers are good too. While I thought thay the joy finsihed at the beers, the staff delivered what can only be described as beautiful and seductive service which not only stimulated my pallette, but also my outlook on life. They provided the most elegant of ladies fingers. Irrespective of food, ambiance alone should alure any gentile to this establisment ; emphatic, simple and beautiful. Along with ambiance, youre simultaneously plunged into a world of tip-of-the-tongue spices and deep palette sensations. My only critisism is that the food was so good i couldnt possibly see myself eating anywhere else. There is a good chamce ill starve.
