Great camping spot for boondocking. Good hiking biking birdwatching. Many sites in park, many more just outside. Roads can be difficult in some areas. Big rig capable.

Beautiful rock formations, lots of birds, rabbits, cows, and fun places to go hiking.

Free camping! The road too it is pretty washboard bumpy, and not super well marked, but its a great place to camp! They have pit toilets at the picnic area, and a couple little grills by the picnic tables as well! Over all its a pretty nice place!

It is quiet but actually quite busy! Lots of dispersed camping sites and regular visits by Rangers and maintenance crews.

Dispersed camping up against a beautiful rock formation on BLM land. Easy drive in via a 2.5 mile dirt road. The 3-4 spots near the picnic tables are easy to access with large rigs. Smaller RV are rewarded with the best 5+ sites farther up the road against the side of the hill with beautiful rocks next to your site and spectacular views north into the desert.Also stars, stars, stars and quiet, quiet, quiet.

Glad we found this spot. Free BLM dispersed camping. Pulled in after dark and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful scenery when the sun came up.

Very beautiful free camping spot. Mostly paved road up until the last three miles. Also very full. We came in after dark and most spots were already taken. We found one though. Not terribly hot or cold right now.

A symphony of Owls and Coyotes woke us in the predawn. The sunlight crept over the mountain and chased all the lingering clouds away. Beautiful!

This was some boondocking! Would of loved to stay longer but with our 35 footer thought it best to get out before the rain came. Smaller units can get further back up in the Rocks. We followed the grater in our ride was smooth!

Great place to dry camp. Free roaming cattle of all types, lots of space, nice neighbors from the area originally with great area items of note.

Nice and quiet lots of hiking

Unexpectedly pleasant place to camp. Check the weather before you go, if theres any wind then I would choose somewhere else. Some gusts started to pick up over night and by morning there was a zero visibility sandstorm spread all the way to the highway. The camp sites are all located right off the dirt roads which means youre gonna have to deal with people driving past your camp site. The dirt road in was very manageable, the further you go in to look for campsites the worse the road gets but you can get pretty far. There was a lot of cattle around where we camped which meants lots of cow piles to watch out for and we had to deal with lots of mooing. If youre climber itseems like theres a good amount of undeveloped bouldering in the area that was fun to play around on.

6 miles off the Interstate. Gorgeous scenery.

We loved our quick one night stay here. It was free, quiet and easy to get to. The grovel road to the sites are maintained well so we had zero problems getting in and out - just a loud drive! The entrance is tucked away behind some pistachio farms. We only stayed one night but enjoyed it! The bathroom is very disgusting.

I like indian bread.😁 Nice area for boondocking and hiking the rocks. If its busy there is limited rv spots. Large rv spots limited, small rv has more choices. 1 14 18.

Nice quiet place to camp out in the desert. Good rock climbing, coyotes howling at night, and cows walking through the campground fairly constantly.

Beautiful views with awesome rock climbing opportunities. Ft. Bowie is a short distance away and well worth seeing. The town of Bowie has a convenience store for ice and gas and little else. Will Cox is about 25 miles away if you need other supplies. Shaded picnic area is nice, and vault toilets which were very gross. Overall great free camping.

What a cool area. Cant wait to come and have more time to hike and camp.

Worth the drive for explorers! Maintained by the Bureau of Land Management, Indian Bread Rocks in Bowie, Arizona is a nice getaway for a couple of hours of hiking and even has a recreation area with grills for cooking, basic restroom facilities (outhouse, but clean) and picnic benches. We went on a Sunday in perfect hiking weather, and found no one else there. Its certainly a great place to get outdoors with the family, grill up some dinner, and enjoy the scenery.

Nice place to Boondock. Indian petroglyphs...including one left by Bowie Freemasons in 1953. Gee thanks guys! Rocks there are fun to walk on...be careful there was a rattlesnake at the base near the picnic area

Really nice free campground. The toilet was pretty gross, trash overflowing but thats underfunding for ya. The site was quiet, removed from the interstate, and spacious. The rocks were cool to climb on. Id stay again.

Very remote. You need a small to very small rig to get in most places. Very unique rock formations. Enjoyed our time there.

Free dry camping, nice scenery. When you turn onto Happy Camp Trail its 3 miles of unpaved road. As of July 19th 2018 the road was good to travel on. Watch out for the cows, once you arrive the camp area is the first road to your right and has plenty of space to turn your RV around. If you head straight to the picnic area its a bit of a tight space but still doable. We made the mistake of going into the picnic area with our 30 RV towing a truck lol. We made it out fine and had a great nights rest and were greeted by a beautiful fresh morning :D, our dogs and kids loved going up and down the rocks.

Good stop over, not too far from the e-way. Easy in, fair amount of room.

Amazing, beautiful hiking, mountain streams and valleys amongst the boulders. Only flaw is the numerous cow pies, and the vault toilet needs a major scrub down.

Fantastic hiking, they need to add some enzymes to the latrine.

Slept here under the stars; so peaceful

Was treated to an amazing sunset. Wishe we could have stayed for more days. 4x4 or something with a bit higher clearance is recommended. Great for camping, and exploring the backcountry.

What a gem this place is! And to camp here is free, cant beat that. :-)

Nice quite place.

Its a barren desert. If you like looking at yucca plants and Joshua trees that you can easily see growing everywhere in this state then this is the place for you.
