I have a hamster named Pancake and I got him at Pet Smart. The staff was very helpful in trying to decide which hamster was best for me. I went with they Syrian hamster. I am about a year in and I absolutely adore him. I go into the store quite often to buy him chew toys and of course food and snacks. Great place for all things hamster. Thank you Pet Smart.

Upon entering this particular Petsmart establishment, I was greeted virtually immediately. Excellent customer service. I find the food here often that my dogs and cats love, as well as, other needed essentials too, but sometimes they are out of stock. Which I understand is inevitable. The environment is modestly clean for the most part. My only con is that they sell small cat plants here for like $7.99 each which consist of various greens/grass cats love. The plants always look half dead or even dead. I bought one maybe a year or two ago that was fresh and green. Now days, they look like they are dying and they are still charging that price point. For basically a dying plant. Is the staff neglecting these plants? It is evidently clear they just don’t ship them dead or half dead. This is unacceptable. Despite this, however, my experience overall was relatively pleasant.

I have been fighting to get an appointment. They have cancelled or made an excuse why they cant take him. My pup needs his nails done and to be groomed. His nails got long waiting for an appointment. He broke one on the over. Groomer said no to grooming him because of the broken nail. IT BROKE BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS HAVE AN EXCUSE WHY YOU CANT SEE HIM. Thankfully the trip was not a loss. Ryan was nice and helped me find a harness for my pup. Ryan was patient and kind. The groomers are lazy.

I like PetSmart pretty well. Currently Im only running a tiny fish tank so I havent looked at much outside the fish stuff in a while. Generally speaking their fish are pretty healthy and they do keep them in a quarantine period when they first arrive. Ive been able to find all the supplies I need for cleaning and maintaining my tank here at decent prices. This last go around I bought live plants for my tank and so far they seem to be doing really well and my fish love them. Right now (Sep 2020) they only have half the check out lines open due to covid so there was no wait to get in but getting out took forever and the line was backed up pretty far when I got into it. The people are friendly though and relatively helpful and the selection of fish and fish related products is good.

Hamsters on the floor with wet tail , was given lots of information that was not correct about hamsters . This scared me from buying one . Also the three that I looked at were dropped a couple times while trying to be picked up by staff so I had no interest in holding one because I didn’t wanna drop it after seeing it be dropped 3 feet already . Went to store on different side of town and was told complete opposite things about hamsters . So I purchased my baby there. Also the animals at the Boise store were very combative and the other Meridian pets seemed more relaxed and not stressed . I hope the babies at Boise get a home ASAP so they can get out of that terrible environment.

I love this store! I always get approached by the same amazing worker and she is always super helpful! She knows a lot about lizards and gives me amazing new habitat ideas every time I see her!

The staff was friendly and quick to help me get what I needed. One of them even helped me carry heavy aquarium decor to my car. The store had live crickets, which was a sight for sore eyes after visiting several other places. I recommend stopping in if you are hunting for live insects.

Im taking an intermediate training class with Lisa and the experience has been excellent. The group is small and socially distant. We practice within the store which is helpful for distraction. Lisa is a kind and patient trainer, I would highly recommend her class.

It was clean and well organized, there was a cute puppy getting new tags. The gentleman at the register was friendly and helpful.

First time to a pet play session, I was super impressed. My new pup needed socialization and this place did a great job helping with that.The day camp session had all different types of dogs, my pup was the youngest and the staff did a great job keeping the more aggressive dogs from him so he could play at his level.Fantstic!

I bought a waterer for my cats which was on sale, made me happy. They were out of the bird seed that we needed. Manager was helpful with directing us where we needed to be.

Very very disappointed in petsmart. Yesterday I went there and someone was cleaning all the fish tanks I thought they were going to remove the dead bettas and they did not. Today I went back and there was another one dead making a total of 3. But the older two have been dead for so long they turned the water yellow and they were rotting. This is very unacceptable. They need to take better care of the animals on their possessions and when I brought them to the front the lady didnt really seem liked she cared all that much. Its heart breaking that they are kept in this condition and to have a costumer of all people to have to tell them that animals have not just died but are rotting is very wrong and they need to better manage their stores.

They have pets there and a doggie day care.

Went in for a snake and received help every step of the way. Was guided through what we would need, what would be best, and how we could save a few extra dollars. Great experience.

Prices are too high and they usually run a skeleton crew making it difficult to get assistance. Then you stand in lime for 20 minutes waiting to checkout as theres only 1 cashier.

We have our first snake. This the store we got her and this is the place we get her food. They are always eager to give any advice we need and I love that they have a vet available too in case we have any issues.

Worst employees ever, all of them dont belong in the retail industry, they are clueless as to what real customer service is and what it means to create sales! We customers are the reason they are there, we customers are not an inconvenience to their day, we are the priority, without us the employees have no job. It is because of terrible customer service like this that brick and mortar stores are closing. Clueless untrained managers and staff. Terrible, unprofessional and that is the manager, zero customer service skills. Standing on one of the isles looking for an item, he walks by me twice and in front of me twice. He didnt even say hello or can I help you find something, nothing! This is entirely unacceptable! Why on earth would I spend my money here and this is the crux of it all here, this is the manager of the store. He has no clue about the buying power of the customers and that we are the ones who are providing them their paychecks by us customers shopping in their stores, Ill take my money somewhere else that values me and respects me as their customer. I hope you will to.

We take our sweet Noodle the mini golden doodle to doggie day camp and sometimes for a hotel stay. She is in love with all the employees they are kind and knowledgeable and love your pup like it is their own

My two beautiful orandas are halfway through their quarantine period with absolutely no problems. I was also able to pick up a medication here, that I use for my quarantine process, that most stores dont seem to care to keep in stock. Clean tanks and store. All the employees were kind, but the aquatics employee (dark hair, pink bangs) was an absolute doll. I was laughing the entire time she was helping me. Very pleasant experience.

Dropped our 9-month-old puppy off at the pet hotel for the night. pricing was extremely reasonable and the girl at the front counter was very kind. The areas were clean and the dogs and other pets that we saw seemed very happy.

This review is for the PetSmart Petshotel and Doggie Daycare. Our small 6 month old Luna had a wonderful time here while we were out of town. The facility is very clean and dogs are divided by temperament and size which means that some slower, older dogs are in with the smaller dogs. I think this creates a very healthy, balanced environment for all. Staff were obviously pet lovers and were responsive and friendly when I called to check in. I received a picture in email and also a follow up call a few days later. We will definitely return!

I can’t say enough good things about the doggie Daycamp and their staff! Every single day we go my pups are greeted and loved on (even when they’re being absolutely crazy). Trying to find one person that I trust with my pups is already hard enough so to find a team of people who I trust wholeheartedly with them feels like nothing short of a miracle. You will not find a better second home for your pup(s) and why would you want to? I get to bring my pups to a place that they absolutely love (my lab/husky starts excited whining the second we hit the exit) & be confident that while I’m working they’re having the time of their lives. Seriously it doesn’t get much better than that. But if you somehow still aren’t sold.... then I’ll tell you one last unbeatable benefit. When my pups get home from a day at camp they’re so tired! And what’s that old saying “a tired dog is a good dog?” Seriously wether you’re having people over or you just want to relax after a long or crazy day nothing beats the feeling of your pups being dog tired and asleep after a great day! Penny & Piper give the Petshotel/doggie Daycamp team two paws up! It truly doesn’t get better than this!

Clean store, easy to shop. Employees talking on floor. Three kitties up for adoption. Fish available. Most of cages for birds and reptiles were empty this day. Cashier super friendly. Problem with coupon that she fixed quickly no hassle.

Everyone was very helpful and cheery! It was my first time in years since I had last been there. The store was clean and well organized, so products were easy to find. I will be going back frequently from now on.

I went in to buy a new kind of bedding for my Leopord geckos. They were very knowledgeable. I found what I needed. My Geckos love there set-up!

Store employees have been very helpful and the supplies I shop for, are always in stock.

Took the beginner dog training group course and it was great! The trainer Brittany was awesome. She made it really fun and even though it was a group course, she spent time with each dog/owner individually to help with each ones needs. Will definitely be taking the intermediate course.

I went to PetSmart, just about a week ago with my husband. We were hoping to adopt a hamster or even a lizard. I was very sad to see that there was a dead mouse! My husband told one of the ladies working there and she said He was ok just 20 minutes ago. Then we went to look at the fish, and there was two dead fish in a tank. Very disappointed. I understand that things happen, but take better care of those poor animals.

For a national chain store its not bad however, supporting local business owners is always better especially during covid where these owners are struggling to stay open.

It is convenient to have, but their prices are super ridiculous. This visit they didnt have a lot of product. Maybe a restock day? But they didnt have what I needed. They also only price match with other physical stores not online stores. Just in case you were wondering.

Great selection, friendly staff. Be wary while shopping, however. Often times their products are less than half price on their website, which irritates me a bit. They DO price match, so thays great. At least theyre willing to match it, but it still makes me feel a bit cheated when I forget or miss something. Overall, Id prefer PetSmart over the other options nearby, so theres that.

Im not one to say bad things about people if they dont deserve it I find it hard to even do that if they do deserve it but they made me wait for a really long time before they could even get my dogs nails clipped,no one in line I am a returning customer they should have my information they did not so I had to go find it and presented to them and it took them another 30 minutes to get it put into the computer

A lot of different types and brands of thing but their are pretty much the same. They are really pricey.

Customer satisfaction is top priority here. Every and all questions are answered to the best of ones ability, I believe. I have had a couple good conversations with some of the staff and everyone is nice and relatable. Great products and always have new stuff coming in! Thank you for being so organized, the store looks great every time I go in, I know right where to look because products are front faced, labeled, and to the end of the shelf.

I LOVR PETSMART EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THEY HAVE LOST SEVERAL EMPLOYEES BOTH IN THE STORE AND IN THE GROOMING DEPARTMENT. IN THE GROOMING DEPARTMENT, THIS MAKES IT HARD ON THE CUSTOMERS BUT ON THE ANIMALS MOST IMPORTANTLY. MY DOGS ALREADY DO NO LOVE GOING TO THE GROOMER BUT IT MAKES IT EASIER WHEN THEY SEE A FAMILIAR FACE, FOR MY DOGS THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN BECAUSE OUR GROOMER LEFT OUT RIGHT. WE WISH HER THE BEST BUT AT THE SAME TIME, WE FEEL LIKE WE JUST DONT MATTER, THE SAME AS WE DID.

There is a older man who is bald at the pet smart by the mall and he has treated SUPER disrespectful and this is the second time he does it he is raciest towards me and treats me so bad and today he told me to hurry up bc there were people in line when nobody was able to help me look for what I specifically needed and then he started arguing with me. I spend a lot of money at pets smart and for what to get treated like that you guys say that us foreigners are the problem but look at ur own kind.

After waiting for 40 minutes to get fish, I finally gave up. The lady in the fish section even asked if I knew what I wanted upon entering the fish section, which I said yes. Granted she was helping a first time fish buyer ( which the associate should have known not to sale fish to someone just starting a fish tank from scratch, a tank has to cycle) who couldnt decide what she wanted. After the first 20 minutes I tracked another associate down to see if I could get assistance. I was told someone would be right with me. 20 minutes passed and still no one. I love Petsmart and shop them frequently, normally the Meridian location, but this store had the type of fish I wanted. I wont be back to this location. Customer service is very subpar.

Went inside to pickup an order. After a very nice employee rushed over to help us, this horribly rude lady named penny started telling us what we were doing wrong. It’s clear that she was probably a manager but definitely one of the worst. We won’t be back.

So we go in excited to buy our first lizards. We go to Petco first and they have same lizards for $59.99 so we go to our trusty PetSmart because we found them online off the PetSmart website for $20 less each! In store purchase only, cool so we go. When we get there the line was long and so we confirm with an associate, and without hesitation she laughs and says oh no no we dont price match. Not even letting me show her store website. What concerns me is the lack of training for customer service that 2 of the employees had. Will definitely NOT be back!!
