A serene and beautiful place to visit. If you are in Gaya, you must travel to Bodh Gaya, which is about 20kms from Gaya. Because it is worth of it. The Buddhist temple is worth to visit. You will get to learn the history of Lord Goutam buddha, and also about the origin of Buddhism. You must talk to the people over there as monk, they will guide and tell you about its history and its rich legacy. There are various other temples too like lord Jagannath temple and all. One mosque is also there, which depicts about the ethics and values of India which rely on unity in diversity.Once you get in there, you will never feel like going out. I visited this place in first week of April20. Because of Covid, it was not very crowdy. The place has a very good vibe. The tree is very old so it has been given some support.

Mobile phones are not allotted inside the campus, whereas camera can take inside with a fee of Rs.100. Lots of guides are available but I recommend avoid guide to feel the silence and meditation mood. Lots of Buddhist monasterys are there in Bodhgaya which belongs to different countries. Majority of visitors are Buddhists belongs to different countries other than Indian.

Ultimately calm and quiet place.... U can see hundreds of buddhist monks here... Waste management system is working efficiently.. Each and every corner of temple has kept clean... That gives a positive vibe with their synchronized prayers... I recommend this place for everybody should visit at least one time.

Well maintained large complex. The extra security is due to the attacks that happened couple of years back, but its unobtrusive. You can easily spend a couple of hours inside admiring the various structures and the gardens.

Very sacred place for Buddhist, we stayed 1 week in Both Gaya and almost twice a day go here to feel the atmosphere here, I cant describe it in single word coz of it surrounding, how the feeling of sacred and peaceful here. Its really unique and cant find in any other places I have been before🥰🥰

Finally Buddha enlightened under this bodhi tree. This is a Peepal tree.A place where I seat peacefully and spent approx three hours. This bodhi tree is of fourth generation and the age of this tree is approx 135 years old. It attracts you continuously by its huge importance. It is protected by fencing. Personally I believe that it brings you calm down. Gives you a huge energy from your inside. You will find happiness here.

It provides an amazing ambience of peace and tranquility. It also has rooms where visitors can light oil lamps and candles as means of worship. There is a tight cordon of security both outside and inside the temple complex. The temple was built directly to the east of the Bodhi tree, supposedly a direct descendant of the original Bodhi Tree.According to Buddhist mythology, if no Bodhi tree grows at the site, the ground around the Bodhi tree is devoid of all plants for a distance of one royal karīsa. Through the ground around the Bodhi tree no being, not even an elephant, can travel.According to the Jatakas, the navel of the earth lies at this spot, and no other place can support the weight of the Buddhas attainment. Another Buddhist tradition claims that when the world is destroyed at the end of a kalpa, the Bodhimanda is the last spot to disappear, and will be the first to appear when the world emerges into existence again. Tradition also claims that a lotus will bloom there, and if a Buddha is born during that the new kalpa, the lotus flowers in accordance with the number of Buddhas expected to arise.

Wow Its really visitable Holly place.. but one thing I dont like it here is you cant allowed in the temple shown in figure one except bodhi dharam people...you can just click a photo from outside. Its great place to see, this is the place where Gautam Budha awakened, he remained at Bodhi tree for 7 week. There are a historical tree and big temple. There is a holy pond also. Its a very calm place and good to go and sit near the tree. People are going there and praying for there betterment. No Mobil phone is allowed however camera and handicam is allowed.
