Our first family visit to Kimchi was a delight. Service was excellent, the food was lovely and overall experience was very good. Even though chef was on his own in the kitchen he managed to get food out super quick. There are 2 adults and 5 children in our family and we were made very welcome. The lady who served us gave us complimentary pork pancakes which were delicious. We will visit again soon!

Good food, vegetarian option is quite good and very reasonably priced. Service was quick however I think they could do with being a little more tobaccommodate to customers requests I.e can you add or remove something from particular dishes.

Ate in here. Nicely decorated and comfy restaurant. Great tasty food. Portions were good but not too massive and filled us up. There was little food wasted!Three of us had three starters for the table and three mains. Can recommend this place.Plenty of vegetarian dishes or veggie variations, and a good selection of different things.Reasonably priced, friendly, and the food came out really quickly.One quirk... if you want a gap between starters and main order separately or let then know otherwise itll all come out at once! Not a problem but was amusing.

I have been in other two Korean restaurants in Birmingham and this is my favorite. I liked the ambience and the friendly staff. But the food, wow is just very tasty. They have several options for vegetarians and every plate was delicious. I recommend it a lot. Cant wait to go again.

Wow, what a truly amazing place, the food was perfect, every single dish was a joy to see, to smell and to taste. The smells from the kitchen gets your attention straight away. The service is polite, and personal the staff are attentive to every customer without being overwhelming, I just wish I could have eaten more, so now I will have make repeat visits till I have tasted all the delights on the menu!

Took a friend here for her birthday tonight as there was a good range of vegetarian options. We had never been before but reviews were good so thought we would take a chance- so glad we did!! The food was amazing! All of it was so delicious- we will defintely be back again as there was so much on the menu we wanted!It is a lovely little restaurant, clean, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere but best of all delicious food in good sized portions!

Had a really great meal here with some friends and also amazing service from this family-run restaurant! We ordered several dishes but I only managed to take the picture of the Kimchi Jeon as we immediately tucked into the food after it all arrived! I recommend the Jeon and bibimbap (personal favourites), hopefully will be back soon :)

Nice taste and cheap

Delicous food at very short notice. We popped in (2 people) for a take-away 30mins before closing time and the staff were very accommodating and kind. The food was also delicous, freshly prepared and filling at a reasonable price. Would definitely return again, and looking forward to eating in.

This place is really nice, in my opinion it’s the best oriental food place in selly oak. I had the pulled beef brisket pot and the flavour was very nice, would definitely recommend it.

Visited here for the first time, we ordered some starters and I was so lovely and fresh, couldnt wait for a mains to come. I ordered chicken katsu and my partner ordered ramen, the mains were just as good very flavoursome. The service is good the food is quick, cooked fresh and piping hot. Give this place 9 out of 10. Would have got 10 out of 10 if they served alcohol, ( some type of Korean beer ). Will definitely visit again though.

Ordered for the first time on Saturday night, excellent! Speedy delivery, amazing noodles with a generous portion. Son and husband had boneless chicken boxes with coleslaw and fries, the silence and empty boxes spoke volumes! We will be ordering again very soon

Walked in for a takeaway and there’s no one at the restaurant. Ordered some food and was expecting a 10% discount for takeaway and was told that I had to call to order beforehand. Asked if I can call now and wait and was told no. Felt that they make it difficult for one to enjoy the discount.

Revisited the restaurant again this afternoon and it was a delight. They have revamped the sitting area and it has made it more spacious. The staff was wonderful (knowledgeable) and friendly. This restaurant is amazing. Seriously, I can’t even describe how delicious the food is and the premises is so cute and lovely. The owners are wonderful and very nice! I’ve eaten Korean food in a few different places over the world, but this is my first experience here in the UK and wow, it’s fantastic! My partner, who has never tried Korean food, said that this was the best food he’s ever had! Definitely come here if you like Korean food or If you want to try! You will not be disappointed! HIGHLY recommend!

Had takeaway from here earlier today. Food was fantastic. 30% discount for collection made the price more reasonable. Would have been nicer to have had more than 2 prawns and 2 clams in the denjang chige. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the food and will be back for more!

Please make sure you try Formosa Izakaya in the city centre too if youre also going to eat here or have done before. The food is fine but nothing to write home about in comparison. The best item out of the four that we had was definitely the crispy fried chicken with honey and garlic sauce. The Chasu ramen was average at best unfortunately. Might come here again to try the more traditional Korean dishes.Overall, a decent enough restaurant in the Selly Oak area but definitely not the best in all of Birmingham.

Based on todays experience we were quite satisfied with everything; the food, ambience and service. Reasonable prices with good portions. Been in few other korean restaurants in Birmingham but by far we liked this more. My husband was quite happy with his fish cakes ;) Will definitely come back! Highly recommend.😊👍

We love to go out. Yesterday we found this excellent restaurant which we didn’t know before. We spent a beautiful evening there with exceptional cooking and a well-trained stuff and a great cook. We put this place in our phone list and we will surely come back very soon. We highly recommend.

AMAZINGLY DELISH FOOD. I come here regularly and the seafood and veggie options are yummy and its a great place to dine with friends. Im here risking my safety during covid because Ive been craving the takoyaki and rappoki for days. The waiter is also very lovely. 💖(The meat is not halal btw)

Great food even to Korean

We had takeaway, and sadly the food was very bland, greasy and not as described on the menu. Definitely not accurate of authentic Korean food. Unfortunately we were disappointed and wont be returning. But the service was fast and very friendly!

The food I ordered was so good good. I ordered Korean garlic chicken, pork pancake and Hot stony pot.It was so authentic and very good taste. The staffs are so kind and atmosphere is so clean. I strongly recommend it.

Thanks for the food the noodles with the red sauce was nice but needs a bit more spice. The tempura squid was nice but I liked the fried calamari better also the sticky rice was nice so was the sea food noodle and the rice with some red sauce and noodles.what is the red sauce thats mixed with the thick noodles thank you.

Ordered takeaway from Kimchi because Id been wanting to try it and it did not disappoint! It was seriously delicious, Im already planning for my next takeaway night. I had the chicken katsu curry and the BBQ wings and those wings were heavenly. Cant recommend this place enough, cant wait to try more of their food!

The price of this dinner is not cheap and you can find more better choices with the same price you cost.The fried chicken is rough. The denjang soup is very disappointed which the soup is very small with only two baby clams and some vegetable. The beef is the best one i try this time but i will never try this restaurant again.(-᷅_-᷄)

This place is absolutely one of the coolest place in the area. Anytime I go there I am incredibly satisfied. They maintain their very high standard service and the topmost level of meals they offer. You will be always satisfied with this place. Very recommended.

Just called, asked if the restaurant was actually Korean? I lived in South Korea for 3 years and having came back I have tried places selling fake Korean food, namely Chinese people trying to ride the Korean wave. Guy who answered the phone who I assume was Caucasian couldnt even answer a question like how do you say hello in Korean? He said the owners and staff were Korean so I dont understand why he couldnt at least reply with 5 syllables, which he should have known. He then hung up the phone on me. So it is a no.

My favourite Korean place in Birmingham. Staff is quite friendly, prices are fair and the food is really good. The have many options and there are grills for kbbq.

Never had Korean food before. It was pleasant enough but I prefer Chinese. My Chinese friend said it was more like traditional Chinese food than your usual Chinese takeaway so I guess it was pretty authentic. Good service and helpful staff.

Tasty Korean sizzling pork, however needed a second waitress as service was a little slow, but food came out quickly once ordered.
