Studio Dot is a multi-disciplinary design studio exploring and experimenting with contextual architecture, furniture and product design working in close accord with artisans, artists and architects. We are on a journey to find ourselves and values that define contextual design.OUR NAMEOver the past couple of years this is one question that has always kept us on our feet, What is Studio Dot?.A little history about what made us call ourselves Studio Dot. In design dot is the start and end point of all things, be it a line, surface or a three-dimensional object. Dot is also a representation of minimalism. We try to look at minimalism not just as an expression but also in other aspects of design such as intervention and material.OUR WORK PHILOSOPHYDesign should always be evolving from time to time, place to place and context to context. When we leave the design to be dynamic we make room for new ideas, making it one of our core design philosophies. We also love to engage ourselves directly with the artisans during all creations. It is only when you engage directly is when you can really appreciate the effort gone in making it happen.
