One of the most underrated place in Bhubaneswar. Among other museums of Bhubaneswar, its full of spots for photoshoot. Youngsters will love this place. Its an attraction for them to spend time here and have good photos over here. Its also an suitable place for family to have some quality time with their family. Due to the pandemic, they have closed some places inside the museum. This place needs to be known to everyone for which everyone would know about the culture and sculpture of our state.

If you are in town, this is a lovely place to get an overview of traditional Odia rural and tribal crafts - from tools, to palm leaf paintings, to woodcraft, to tribal weapons to gorgeous textiles. An hour or two is sufficient. The museum is beautifully maintained, very neat and clean and with plenty of open spaces. In this time of covid, it is advisable to carry proof of vaccination or the Aarogya Setu App. We werent asked but there were temperature checks and sanitizers were provided.

Very well maintained aesthetically pleasing architecture giving off good vibes. Only thing I didnt like about this place was there was too much of security detail and I understand you need to watch for people who break rules, but one can constantly feel the gaze of the security personnel which can be a bit unsettling at times. Although it houses a very good collection showcasing the rice heritage of Odisha, I would say if you havent got much time, breeze through the interior section and try soaking in the beauty of the outdoor instead.

There is every bit of odisha art and crafts and they are constay going on adding. The staff members and security guard are very much helpful. They will guide you everywhere and very kind enough. There is screen where videos about art and crafts is shown to give an introduction about all the forms of artwork of odisha. The planning and circulation of place is very good. There are ponds in between to improve the scenic beauty. There are everywhere wheelchair accessible ramps and parking and you will never face any problem. Parking is spacious and well maintained. Workshops are also conducted every sunday. There is a open air theatre where functions can be done. There is proper air circulation system, air conditioning system and air purification system

The museum itself is a great atmosphere created by the architect on the lines of craft museum Delhi, and the exhibits are also quite elaborate and worth witnessing at least once. One gets to know a lot about arts and crafts of Orissa ! They have guides inside each hall if exhibit who explain you things in detail. The disappointment about this place is, in spite of exhibiting arts which are natural, and architecture of the built planted with nature all around, they dont allow you to get along with nature. You arent allowed to walk on the grass, sit near water body under the tree shade, etc. Theyve planned the walk through the museum, assuming we are machines and should follow exactly the same trail as they decided for us. Slightly here and there, and the innumerable watchmen are ready to blow a loud whistle and embarrass you, by making you learn a new rule of the campus, you werent told about at the entrance.

One of the newer museums in Odisha. The architecture and the landscape of the museum is truly a new experience. The building spaces have been planned and placed in very thoughtful manner. The scattered placements of the workshops and canteens throughout the site aajke the people to feel the landscape around. The walkways with pagodas give it a different feel. The material changes asking the road demarketing different spaces gives a different kind of feel. There is always done kind of activity going on in which you can participate and watch.

If youre seeking a rundown on the plethora of art and craft forms of Orissa, this is the place to visit. In a vast open piece of land with beautifully recreated village cottages (complete with shuttered windows and all!) housing galleries for displaying the exquisite cultural asset of Orissa, this museum is a great effort to disseminate information about the art and craft forms of Orissa. With a brilliant AV session that sets the tone of the visit that delves into considerable depths to provide an overview of the various at forms, the visit to the galleries can become a more nuanced one. There are great recreations of various craft products e.g. silver filigree of Cuttack region, pattachitra of Puri, applique work of Pipli and dhokra casting. With ample foliage to complete the rustic settings, this should be a must visit on ones itinerary of Bhubaneshwar.
