I’m visiting Bhubhaneshwar and read about this place in a travel blog. It does not disappoint. Yes hygiene and Covid precautions are not being considered- but for a foodie this was an absolute delight. I had 3 Madhu vadas, 2 potato vada, 1 gulabjam, 1 gur rasgulla. Paid ₹70 for all this. The ghuguni is legit. Tasty. And the potato vada was amazing - it’s got a spicy potato inside with nuts and all. Blew my mind on how good it was. They spoke in Hindi and cajoled me to try this and that. Loved it. Please visit for real local food.
The vada served here is altogether of a different quality.. enjoyed the food.
Best is little bit good not best. But its quality is batter then other bara
Much hyped, bara & guguni near Kesari talkies is better.
Ambience is not good.. But taste is awsm.. Here u will get chup, vada, sweets.. I just love the vada.. Its so crispy full of onions.. Amazing taste.. A plate cost 30/- here which contains 4 pcs of vada with white pea curry. It also provides chhena poda which people love to hv here.. It is just like a road side small store but it was so crowded in the morning and evng.. So u can guess dat people are loving its food.. A must try place.. U should go there.. I will definitely recommend dis place.. N yes there is no sitting arrangement.. U just hv to stand dere n hv it.. N bcz of covid situation dats also not allowed.. So u hv only one option dats takeout. So go n try dere infamous vada
Too much crowded. Its like bees in a hive. The vadas are awesome. The extra onion filling makes them truly mouth watering.would give 5 stars if they can manage crowd
Probably the best bara ghugni shop in the town. one of the oldest food joint in the town, located in unit vi, near ruchika school, slum area. The bara (vada) are so crisp and fresh that every time i visited this place I used to feel fresh and new to the stall. It is also famous for the chenna poda. A plate of vada (4) with ghugni will cost you rs. 30/- but it really tastes amazing. Do try Alo chop also..
Best Bara of Bhubaneswar. 😍
Awesome place for delicious snacks, Pure ingredients vada u can find here 😋. Sweets are same as above mentioned lines 😋.....
One of the best places in town for breakfast and local sweets but hygiene is ignored
Loved it. I cant say so good or not bad even. Taste is good. Price is ok. Behaviour good. He is working hard so its his right to demand 5rs fir 1 bara(ବରା). Overall good. Everyday not possible but Sometimes we can go to take evening snacks. 4pcs in one plate+Ghuguni=30 rs. You can see rabi bhai put his hand in hot oil.
Delicious BARA/ALOO CHOP with guguni. Sweets like Golap Jamun/ Rasagola one would love
The hype is nt wrong. Bara and Ghuguni ( curry) tastes good. The Alu Chop is also good. One thing everyone forget that Rabi Bhai also makes good sweets. The Rasgola , Gulab jamun and Chena Poda available here are really delicious. Dont forget to taste those on your next visit. One thing I miss the most is Hygiene....
It was an amazing experience eating there, and talking with rabi maussa, he is gem of person. Now coming to food it tastes awesome, everything from bara to big size rasgullas, were amazing. One thing that u probably wont like is hygiene. And one more thing shop was so much crowded, so in order to get ur piece u need to be there in early hours.
Rabi Bhai’s stall is a small rickety hut located in unit 6, Bhubaneswar, among the government quarters. Not many people know about this place nor is it visible to many. But there are people like me who are regulars and visit him often. He doesnt have a proper sitting area, nor does he have proper crockery but he knows the art of making baras. He makes one of the crispiest Baras I have ever had in my life. The ghuguni is best served along with bara or alu chop.People come from different place to have bara and silanashi mitha. Great taste with great price.
This was the place I was most excited about in my whole trip and finally gave it a shot. You can reach here easily through maps. This shop closes around 7:30pm, So try to reach as early as possible So that you can enjoy the chenna poda. Firstly I had their super soft vadas with the ghoogni which were absolutely delightful on a chilly evening later on I tried the Chenna Poda, Rasgulla and Gulab Jamun which was also very good. This place is quite close to the airport so you can give it a try whenever youre around.
Best bara and mitha in town!
During my short trip to Bhubaneshvar, I was trying to find about local places to eat and got to know about this. One day, didnt find the place open in afternoon so I believe it is open only for breakfast. What you will get here is freshly made vada, idli, pakoda. And sweets.I tried to tatse all and was so full.Rabi sir gave me to taste one gulab jamun for free. It was very different in shape and taste. The vara(pronouned vada in south indian) was amazing. If you want a clean place you might not be comfortable here. Ther person cutting the onion didnt look clean and so the place where he was cutting it. Outside the shop also, the place to wash hands or to keep plates was not hygienic.Go there to taste some least marketed but amazing tasting sweets and breakfast delicacies. You might see Rabi sir frying the vara where he uses his bare hand to turn the vara in the hot oil kadai. Something to experience.
Unhygienic to eat.. Takeaway is good option.
Best u could never have
Best food items at reasonable cost .
Its not worth the hype.
I am in BBSR like for more than 4yrs and I have heard a lot of buzz about Rabi bhai bara and being an Odia you just cant resist the provoking temptation of going there a having a bite😁,can you? So I went there and here my honest review. The texture of the bara(Vada for those who are non Odia) is like homemade bara with out suji and much baking soda like soft and crunchy. But the taste was pretty normal may be its just because of my overhyped expectations. And the ghuguni which they charge 10Rs/- for that is also not that special. So I would say the hype is not so as it seems and definitely do check out this place may be your taste buds have different story to say☺️
The taste of pure Biri Bara at Bhubaneswar
The most famous bara place in bhubaneswar . Must try if you are visiting bhubaneswar for breakfast or evening snacks and also have a look at rabi bhai dipping hands in the hot oil and flipping fluffy fresh baras .Aloochop , samosa and other eatables are also on the menu .Pro tip - Visit only if you have 20-30 mins in your hand because theres always a rush and waiting time is min 10mins.Do wear mask and maintain precaution during covid times .
I wont rate bara here very highly. Its good but not the best in town. He can do better by using less salt. Sweets like Cheena poda are really good. Aloo chop is good but again salt is an issue, too much of salt
Odia foods are most commonly used in all over India but the actual Taste n Quality you will never find except Odisha. Rabi Bhaiis one of them.
Just love the quality of food
Everything is good good quality food the ghuguni costs 10 rs is a costlier the taste is 5* price of bara good. Cleanliness 2* . Better for parcel not to eat their.
Too much hype, the bara taste and quality is nothing extraordinary.
No signboard to identify location.
Nice Breakfast point
The tiffin & sweets of the store is very tasty.and also the owner Rabi bhai is a kind&good hearted man.I like him very much.
Tasted tastier than this
Probably he got some overhyped reviews on social media or through word of mouth. Food is okay but overpriced due to so called stardom.
If you visit here whether in the day time or night, you will amazed with the quality of bara and othe stuffs available. This place is always crowded because of good food. I can rate this probably the best bara shop in whole Bhubaneswar.
Best Tiffin center In affordable price
Popular tiffin center in Bhubaneswar. Mostly popular for Bara and Ghuguni. 4pc bara and 1 small bowl ghuguni cost Rs.30/-. Bara is very crunchy and Ghuguni also good. Taste is good. Hygiene is also good. After all good experience.
A must visit place for food lovers. The vadas were too delicious and the ghuguni was outstanding. Allo chops are also delicious. I was surprised to see Rabi Mausa putting his hand in the hot oil!
Not that good in taste. Only hype
Too much of crowd without covid-19 regulations- a spreading centre for Covid
Fantastic and authentic taste you can find just awesome.🔥
Nice samosa.
Very good quality of bada available here but ambiance of the area is very unhygienic
Best in quallity. Everything is tasty and hygene.
The bestest food one gets there at a throw away price. Love it.
Rabi Bhai restaurant brings you a picture of a man who puts his hands in boiling oil while making Vada/Bara with no pain at all. Even though the restaurant became famous for that, food wise what stands out are the sweets especially Rasagolla. I had a great gastronomic time while having it. It is priced at 20 Rs per piece. We had other sweets as well which were also equally good. While going back from Bhubaneshwar we packed Rasagollas in huge quantities to take back home. The restaurant is easily locatable and is a must visit when you are in Bhubaneshwar
Everything is a must try here, even the sweets are up to the mark. But obviously bara with bhuguni is the best.
Nice food but hignice issue
If U can ditch your diet for a day then this is definitely one of the place where U will have no regrets. Awesome vada, alu chop, ghuguni, sweets. Whether it be a part of your morning breakfast or evening tiffin its worth a bite. Per plate only ₹30. For all those street food lover its a must visit place. As far as hygiene is concerned, well if U can ignore that part then its good.
Fantastic tiffin. Very good chhenapoda.
Excellent...Nice behavior.. Tasty vadas and palatable sweets
It is a best place for bara in bbsr.
Taste is good.... One should see him frying bara with his hands into hot oil
Awesome taste
Good food
Nice food
Not a big fan of his Vada bt the Guguni n the rasogolla is worth it..
Bara in Rabi bhai shop didnt meet expectations and hype created except his stunt in boiling oil.. All though his ghuguni was excellent ❤️
There is only hype i got better vada near my home . Just for shake of name many go there to become fools like me..Dont touch the sweets otherwise u will dieDidnt meet expectations
Good taste
Very delicious Bada and chena poda
Awesome place.....really authentic oriya snacks
Tasty & delicious
Good quality bara....like home...but curry is not so good..i go for inly Baras
He is a very good person foor was tasty but little oily .. the sweets are excellent..
U should visit it at least once
Nice place and tasty food 😋
This is not a restaurant first of all, this is a road side tiffin stall. People call it Rabi Bara shop. The ambiance of the shop is slum like unhygienic. The food is of double the price comparatively to other local tiffin stalls. The food is tasty but costly than others.
This joint is very famous since decades but now I found it as belowTaste is ok ( vada is 3 star , alu chop is 2 star ) , not hygienic , no customer delight ( good staff behaviour) Rabi bhaina is not taking vadas from hot oil directly anymore , though this never add any value to taste .But still people love to go there to satisfy their taste bud because he has built this rapport & goodwill over years of hard effort .My rating is based on the current standard and procedures , may be outstate people wont like it due to unhygienic conditions .
It was osm filling to eat vada and ghugni
Very tasty bteakfast in bhubaneshwar not in odisha
Very nice
Nyc....beeribara
Bhubaneswar famous Bara & Sweets shop
The taste is good and a quick drive to taste it last evening. The snacks have a smoky taste mostly due to the wood burning stove used to prepare them. What we group felt is the place is a little over hyped and the taste is okayish. There are definitely other places which serve a little better tasting food. Worth a try however.
Good n healthy Odisha style tiffin center
Bara is vry crispy and tasty
