A great place to see veethi sankul museum in Manav Sangrahlaya.Human civilization starting from the stone age is well depicted at this place. So many things, a lot of things I would say, are kept from ancient time and are maintained at par level. What a maintenance, hats off to all the people who work there! You will relish each and every thing you see there. Its too good, trust me.Must visit this place in Bhopal. It is so big that it may take your whole day to spent there and understand the human history. But it is totally a worth place to spend your time.To know how we evolved, how we used to love and how we survived? Each and everything that one wants to know, it is there!
Beautiful place showing wonderful diversity of Culture of India.
Very good art and old vintage collections
Great place showing developmental history of human being. Really a knowledgeable architecture for the urban children an upcoming generation.
Good set of information available with nice text and exhibition illustrations. Various galleries are well set-up. It wouldve been better to have more content around human evolution and related phenomena like historical society formation. Directions are given for methodical access. Improvement is needed in terms of ventilation and cooling, as its very suffocating in summers.

This place consists of 2 kinds of museums- 1. Open air museum, 2. In-house museumOpen air museum consists of various types of traditional homes which are/were built by people across various states in India.2. In house museum is depiction of tribal culture.Big negative side of this place is that big cats like leopard are often seen roaming around open air museum so dont leave your kids alone, stay in groups. For people who are really interested in knowing knowing cultural practices of India, spare one whole day for each museum

It is a well aclaimed effort by Veethi Sankul to present general public an experience of the tribal life. It exhibit an Open air cottage inhabited by various tribes of Indian states. Tools, carts and other mechanized equipments used by tribes gives a learning experience. Indoor museum depicts their face masks, daily tools, dance forms, musical instruments, fighting tools, dress, etc. which gives in-depth knowledge of their life forms.

Manav Sangrahalaya as known popularly has exhibits which appeal to all age groups, and lovers of science, art, music, dance and also history. Sculpture, artefacts are very well displayed and ambience is lovely. One can spend more than half day inside and the rest half day seeing the outside habitats of different regions of India. I have visited about 6 times so far. Now theyve tie-up with Amazon for online purchase of products from their store. Every month good literary program, work shops and festivals are organized time to time from nook and corners of India.

Veethi Sankul is a Hindi word which means gallery complex. As the name suggest, its an indoor museum inside Manav Sangrahalay which shows the tradition and culture followed by the different groups of Men (Tribes). Some of them has been extinct and some are still there. In this museum you will get to know how did they used to live? How do there houses look like? There marriage traditions, there festivals, there celebrations and many more, from there utensils to weapons, all are preserved in this museum.Visit it at least once because National Museum of humankind or Museum of Man (anthropology museum) is one and only one and is situated in Bhopal. It covers almost all tribes of India from Sikkim (North) to Srirangam (South), from scheduled to nomadic tribes. You will got to know journey of mankind from Stone age to till today.
A great place telling us about a lot of details of human civilization. India being a diverse area with a lot of culture, this place is a good place to study about them. A little lacking in the museum is the details of all sets are not completely explained. A little about evolution and the genetic variation and basics of genetic material is explained. The veethi sankul is part of the museum of human civilization (Manav sangralay). The entry fee is 50₹ for the entry to Manav sangralay and the same ticket is used to enter the veethi sankul.
A unique Amphitheatre , which presents unique artists presenting unique items with unique instruments .Great place
Exhibition space inside the Museum of Man. Visit this place to get the detailed informative and visual tour to the evolution of Mankind.
Everyone should go there its a lovely place
A lot to learn here... My favourite place
Vithi Sankul is indoor part of Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS). It contains 12 galleries and an auditorium. You need a full day to see it thoroughly and about 2-3 hours otherwise. There are several outdoor exhibits and sections as well and a person in hurry is likely to miss many jewels. This museum is certainly one of the best and worth visiting museums for those interested in anthropology of India, history, traditional art and paintings, musical instruments, etc. There is a very basic canteen, though not attached to Sankul, where you can get tea, biscuits and thali(plain rice, Dal, sabji and 4 puris-fried bread). Price of thali is just rs 30! There are two approach roads to reach the Vithi Sankul. Please note that there are many open air areas scattered in the premises so you may miss many if you dont explore carefully.
Nice place to know about our aadivasi peoples and their way of living..must visit.

Beautiful mesuem, it describes all the cultural activities and living habits of different regions of people in India, and by which name they were known, where are they situated and how do they live their life,Can say history of different regions of mankind.
