Update: Decided to go to the restaurant and the food was delicious as usual but very small quantity for the price. Also, they charged 24.5 Lari for Lamb Curry when it was clearly mentioned for 19.5 on the menu and when asked they said they have raised the price but just don’t have the updated menu. It seems pretty unethical to show the menu with one price and charge more because they see you’re a tourist. That is the reason why I’m changing the star rating from five to a two star rating. I don’t recommend going to the restaurant but rather ordering it from Bolt food.Super delicious food. It’s not only the best Indian food in Tbilisi but one of the best I’ve ever had. The quantity is on lesser side but it more than compensates for that on the taste side. I absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

Restaurant is very clean.We ordered chicken pakoda and paneer pakoda and enjoyed very much. Desert was delicious Rasmalai. Staff was Georgian and very strict . We noticed one Indian staff she was very nice girl but seemed to be terrorized by Georgian staff. Restaurant is Georgian version of Indian food. Seems like cook is indian but restaurant is running by Georgian. I wanted to feel Indian soul.

Indian cuisine is in my top three favourites and I ate in some of the worlds hubs for sophisticated Indian cuisine such as Singapore, London, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Vancouver, etc.I must say that surprisingly this restaurant is one of the best I experienced outside India and considering the price is so low it is a gem that I didnt expect to find in Tbilisi.The cooks seem to be passionate about their cooking because even cheap dishes like steamed rice and cream of tomato soup are meticulously done. I am very impressed which is why I eat at the taste of India restaurant every day during my stay in Tbilisi (bad luck for Georgian restaurants. Yes they have some nice salads but there is only so much white flour carbohydrates one can eat in a day...)

What to say about Taste of India? It is kind of a mixed bag experience. The food can be very good but consistency is a challenge. I have had their food a number of times. I have never had a bad meal but some of them have been very good and some just a bit above average. They seem to have a high turnover as there is always different wait staff. Some of whom are much better than others. This place is also on the expensive side of things. As usual in GE you never know what order your dishes will come out. You may end up with the Naan at the end of the meal. It is quite on the inside which is nice. During the winter it is very warm inside.If you are in the mood for Indian this can be a great choice. Just realize the potential issues so you arrive with proper expectations.

Second time ordering, and again very poor quality food, under cooked nann bread, and the chicken in all dishes was very dry and tough, like it’s pre cooked frozen chicken, also the onions in both curries were undercooked and crunchy..I binned the lot.

Good food but charge you extra and dont accept their mistake. Dont go here. I ordered food for delivery and they charged me 3.5 lari extra on a dish and 8 lari for delivery. The lady was arguing with me when I asked her why they charged me extra.

Tasty food but the customer service is horrible. I order food for delivery via Facebook Messenger and they over charged me for the food and charge 10 lari for delivery. When I asked why the price is different from that in the menu they said the menu card was recently updated. I told them that I had just been there two days ago and they replied saying that I was having an issue because they charged me 3.5 lari extra for the dishes. No apologies for overcharging me and very rude. I don’t recommend it at all.

There were a number of choices for us when we were in Tbilisi for Indian food and based on the reviews we selected Taste of India for our dinner. We were a group of 8 and we faced no difficulties in reserving our booking. The very courteous staff rearranged the tables to accommodate us.The menu itself offered almost everything possible in Indian cuisine and we were spoilt for choice. Alongwith local beers and Jal Jeera we ordered a variety of vegetarian starters. The Pakodas, masala papads and peanuts reminded us of home.The main courses of Methi Malai Mattar, Channa Masala, Alu Jeera and Dal Tadka with Tandoori Roti and Garlic Naans were made and served to perfection.The Gulab Jamun was not too sweet.Over all a very satisfying dinner at a very reasonable price.The excellent service was topped up with a helpful gesture of ordering our taxis to return back to our hotel.Any day a restaurant that I would recommend for everyone yearning for an Indian meal in Tbilisi.
