Chandrasekhar Azad was born on 23 July 1906 in Bhabra village (now Chandrashekhar Azadnagar) (now in Alirajpur district). [3] [4] His ancestors were from Badarka (present Unna district). Azads father Pandit Sitaram Tiwari, in 1956, left his native place Badarka in the early days of famine and worked for some days in Madhya Pradesh Eliagarpur principality and then settled in Bhabra village. Here child Chandra Shekhars childhood has passed. His mothers name was Zakor Devi. Azads early life was spent in the Bhabra village in tribal Bahluliya area and in childhood, Azad launched a bow arrow with Bhil children. Thus he had learned shooting in his childhood. The child Chandra Shekhar Azads mind now turned away from the nonviolent measures of liberating the country and turned towards armed revolution. At that time the Banaras was the stronghold of revolutionaries. He came in contact with Manmathnath Gupta and Pranav Chatterjee and became a member of the revolutionary party. The crew of revolutionaries was known as Hindustan Prasnantra Sangha
