Mulnayak: Mulnayak is Shri Munisuvrat Swami Bhagwan. Nearly 88 cms. high white – colouredidol of Bhagwan Kalhara Parshvanath in the Padmasana posture. This idol is beside the idol ofShri Munisuvrat Swami Bhagwan.Tirth: It is in Shrimali Pole in Bharuch on the banks of river Narmada.Historicity: Bharuch is a very ancient city and pilgrimage centre. In ancient times, it was veryfamous by the name of "Bhrugupur" or "Bhrugukutch". Bharuch is a port and in olden days it was afamous trade centre. Due to its import and export trade, this city became very prosperous. Elevenand a half lakhs of years ago, Shri Munisuvrat Swami, the 20th Thirthankara came on foot coveringa distance of 240 miles to Bharuch to give sermons to a horse. The Brahmins had readied thishorse for their Ashvamegha Yagna. On hearing the words of Bhagwan Munisuvrat Swami, thehorse died peacefully forgetting all his enemity towards other living creatures and askingforgiveness from all. He was born as a Dev in Devaloka. In remembrance of his last birth, he built abeautiful temple there and installed the idol of Munisuvrat Bhagwan in it. This temple came to beknown as "Ashvavabodh Tirth". Princess Sudarshana was the daughter of king Sihal of Sihaldvip. One day, on hearing someone chanting Namaskar Mahamantra she got "Jati Smaran Gyan"meaning she remembered her past birth where she was an eagle. She was on her deathbed anda Jain monk had chanted the Navkar Mantra to her and she was born as the princess. Later on,Princess Sudarshana renovated this Ashvavabodh Tirth and this temple came to be known as"Shakunika Vihar". In course of time, many renovations were done to this temple. Shantu Mehtadecorated this temple with a Golden Kalash. Minister Ambad spent 32 lakh gold coins andrenovated this temple and the idols were installed by the revered hands of Kalikal Sarvagya ShriHemchandracharya. The Aarti done by Maharaja Kumarpal in this temple became very famousand is known as "Maharaja Kumarpal ki Aarti". Many more splendid temples were built here.🙏Jay Parshwanath🙏
Very serene place to visit in Bharuch
Wow! What a place! Its an amazing place, especially if you are looking for an hour of peace in your hectic life. Its really a quite place. When I first saw this derasar (temple) I was very tempted to go and see what was in it. It really attracted me and when I got to know about its amazing history, I was amazed. It really makes you feel serene. Being a Jain, I would like to tell all my Jain friends to visit this place at least once.

68 cms high, black-colored idol of Bhagawan Munisuvrat Swami in the Padmasana posture. This 3 storeyed Jain derasar is popularly known as Samdi Vihar Jain Derasar. Since this is an ancient city, ancient sculptural art is seen everywhere. According to the popular belief, the original complex of 11 temple was built till the thirteenth century. However frequent attacks by Muslim kings ruined the original temple which was later rebuilt as a big single temple encompassing idols ( Pratima) from all the temples ruined by Muslim kings. The Temple has excellent facility for stay including few A.C. Rooms (Dharamshala) and facility for food (Bhojanshala)
More than 500years old Jain temple. In the basement of the temple there is an idol saint of Mantungsuri. The author of Bhaktamar Strotra. It is in the city BHARUCH with Dharamshala, Bhojanshala n Parking Facility.
