A very fun place. Quiet, calm, and clean. I recommend.
Beautiful campsite with many options to camp. Can be very busy/ crowded on a sunny day/week.Dont forget the camping electric cable. If you forget, you can still get it at reception but almost 3 to 4 times the price
Great camping. Everything you need and beautiful surroundings
Good 100 star not free buffet on that way I do 1 star
Had a good trip in the Ardenne, Many activities on car distance but they were good. we traveled almost a few days in Belgium, Luxembourg or France. sometimes just a walk through the ardenne or a dive in the pool. there were some activities like climbing in the neighborhood. And I loved their special beer to chill off at the end of the day. because of COVID-19 there were not as many possibilities the previous years like parties and familie activities. The animation team had some treally fun activities for kids. it was fun to look at. I will be back for sure!
Nice camping. Spacious pitches. Kind staff. Nice swimmingpool. The camping is very suitable for kids. Lots of activity for them. Not really a place for peace and quiet seekers.
Beautiful campsite with large well maintained pitches. Bear in mind the restaurant closes at 8pm sharp and the bar 9pm sharp! Clean toilets and showers, but no mirrors or soap. Lovely local bread can be ordered in advance for 9am delivery. Easy one mile to small town, market on Sunday mornings.
Great camping. Our kids loved the animation team and it was great to be picked up every morning by them!
Large holiday camp site, swimming pool, lots of events to take part in. Woodland walks.
Congrats to The new team ! Nice experience, a step up again!
Great mobile home, excellent facilities and kids club. not too big, very safe and nice restaurant too
The bar has a fantastic selection of beers
Nice place lots to do! The restaurant is very good
Nice place to stay with familly and base to see the beautiful surroundings.
Great service, great restaurant, friendly staff, excellent variation and choice of beers, beautiful location and thus overall an excellent holiday experience.
Super
Nice site, my mistake for not going to an adult only campsite.
Very very very good
Perfect
Top !
Super!
Top!
A great campsite with plenty of entertainment for the children. Everything on the campsite is present, but the quality is mediocre. We had a place of over 90m². But because a quarter of this ran diagonally away, this part was unusable and we found the place too small.Electricity was out for a while, but that was quickly resolved. Our daughter (3) participated every morning in the animation with dancing and crafts. The pool was fine. The paddling pool was way too cold (not heated). The sanitary facilities were clean and fine. But thats about it.Everything on the campsite is present, but the quality is mediocre. At the restaurant you have to pay first and then you can eat. Thats because sometimes there are people who walk away without paying. It is a mixed crowd that visits the campsite. Mainly families with young children, but also teenagers, hardcore fans and the permanent pitches. The maintenance remains behind, they acknowledge this at the reception. There is not enough staff to solve problems on a structural basis. The guests with a permanent pitch also indicate that the campsite is slowly but surely deteriorating. Are we coming back?Maybe, but not for years to come.
We had a nice holiday with our daughter. Our daughter (5.5) had a great time in the pool, playground and entertainment. Nicely organized .. you can also keep an eye on the kids from the terrace.Store is empty (probably because of corona). Partly deferred maintenance. Eg the entrance to kids club full of rubbish and weeds. Tennis/football fields look overdue.Beautiful complete mobile home (with a good boiler for a hot shower) and a very nice environment. Delicious fresh bread rolls every morning. We will definitely go back again
Beautiful campsite but until the last news, Bertrix is a French-speaking community and therefore we could at least have animators, waiters, reception, .... in 2 languages !!! A shame for them to outright take Dutch suppliers not even from the region. And teenagers for the childrens entertainment, I saw a little forgotten one in the forest with my own eyes.Otherwise clean and charming on the site.
A nice campsite, camper pitches are spacious. Concrete field to play football, tennis or batminton. Great swimming pool.Restaurant & terrace is quite spicy in terms of price. The cook is not prepared to cook a steak medium rare, everyone just gets medium. Everyone likes that, he says. The showers are wonderfully warm and without extra payment. The sanitary buildings could use a facelift. It is also nice that people at the reception also speak Dutch. The area is beautiful, great for walking the dog, for example.
In itself a nice campsite, just a pity that we had to put our tent in the mud. And the mud only got worse during our stay. We eventually stepped right into a swamp and pulled out on our tent canvas. Stuck with the car twice. Also, our place was so sloping that we had to do all kinds of things so that our things wouldnt slide away all the time. Sleeping was not pleasant because of this. We went home 3 days early. When we reported this to reception there was not much response. The food in the restaurant is way overpriced. The flies will make you crazy on the sports fields. We dont feel like weve been on vacation at all.
Campsite is in very good order but still has minor drawbacks. 3 out of 4 cold showers, wifi could be expanded a little further, certainly up to picnic tables. The stairs to the dog meadow were not obvious for our dog with hip problems. We got a pitch in the tent street and the slope there is very difficult, especially with a caravan and the water system makes a lot of noise.
We celebrated holiday in Bertrix with a caravan. Unfortunately the weather was against us but you cant book that. The camping and sanitary buildings are clean and the camping pitches are spacious. The catering industry is well organized with good service. Wide choice of delicious beers. The campsite is more suitable for families with children up to 12 years old. There is not much for the older youth.
Bad camping places all downhill over all moder no shop where you could buy something childrens forest some attractions were due for replacement too few tapping points for water bad connection for t.v. grass is not mowed hedges not trimmed and you name it this campsite is not worthy of a star
After reading bad comments, I chose the benefit of the doubt and booked because you think that only people with bad comments post something. Bad guess and comments are justified.Bad for what we are used to and relatively expensive. Camping shop closed, swimming pool too small for number of guests. Dirty, no hot water for the dishes, no bins to be seen on the campsite and in the playground, little to do. Booked for a week but left after 3 days, a big mess with bad weather. Never again for us.
Good campsite, everything available! Hot showers, lovely restaurant. Very friendly people. Only the mainly Dutch guests do not take the local, Belgian corona measures to heart and do not wear a mouth mask anywhere, but this is not due to the owners... Highly recommended.
Should be a top campsite, but not for us .. no shop, but bread can be ordered online?!, brasserie/restaurant closed for 2 days, little to no staff in sight, swimming pool unguarded, childrens entertainment did its best, but didnt control all the kids. The sanitary building could be better, the childrens sanitary facilities were outrageous! Small defects that could be solved quickly, e.g. extra subtractor in every shower room, making lighting, ...
Dog meadow is not really great. Long grass, no bins available. Daughter wanted to go into the play forest, but the dog was not allowed to come along, nor should he stay alone in the house (what do you do then). Tasty pizza.
Campsite with a large swimming pool and beautiful surroundings. Plumbing of block 4 was very gross. Old and broken, stool on toilet seat. This has been reported. Since then, the cleaners came several times a day, but it didnt get any cleaner. Everything was wiped with the same cloth, they lay a cloth on the floor at the entrance and cleaned the beginning so that at first glance it appeared that the floor was clean, but if you walked further, yuck!
Beautiful and quiet campsite. Staff and campers very friendly. Very neat and tidy camping pitches.
Large campsite with lots to do, cozy terrace, good food, speak Dutch, large pitches.
Campsite well located, on a hill. Facilities such as swimming pool nice but far too small for the amount of campers. Activities such as climbing well organized, good monitors. Our 7-year-old found that climbing at a height of six meters terrifying, but that can also be well liked. Friendly and quick help at the reception.
Top children have never been bored for every family recommended also a lot to experience and discover in the area we will be back next year !!!;)
Dont know if this is a good campground, never been there. Went to the site now to view the possibilities.
Camping was once a hit, but it is declining. Currently no cafeteria or restaurant open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays due to lack of staff. Camping shop is empty and bread can only be ordered and paid via app. Animation only for the little ones. Currently many empty places and very low occupancy....
Nice campsite with a nice heated swimming pool. Many activities for young and old. In a beautiful setting on the edge of the forestToo bad there is no shop (which is in the brochure)
Super cozy campsite with a beautiful swimming pool and lots of nature where families are central. Shops, chip shop, pizzeria,... 5 minutes from the campsite and many sights within a short drive... a must...
There is a good ambiance. At the staff level, a great ability to adapt with people speaking various languages.
Managed by the Dutch. No activity in French. No explanation on the campsite. Too too calm
A really nice and clean campsite. Definitely worth its stars
Sorry to say but this campsite is so unkind to kids
We are more than satisfied with the good service. Definitely go here again!
Spacious campsite with lots of entertainment and fun things for children. In low season also a nice campsite with clean sanitary facilities.
Beautiful campsite, very friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities, cozy caravan, beautiful terrace. Top holiday!
The bungalow was very good and clean. There were a lot of people but very little information in French (everything is in Dutch) despite the fact that we are in Wallonia. We had a terrible week in terms of weather but the heated pool kept the children busy
Already came here for the 4th time and again nothing to comment house was top everyone friendly at the information desk it was different with the corona now but everything was nicely done activities for the children in group of 10 we will definitely see you back nice camping beautiful located and meeeeer or plenty to do in or around the campsite for my they deserve a 10 ++ for location and friendliness ❤️
A well-kept campsite with a swimming pool and a fun playground for the children. The childrens play forest is nicely set up but needs urgent attention, much is broken. Our mobile home was modern and neat. A defect was resolved quickly and friendly.
Large campsite on the edge of a large wooded area. Plumbing was well maintained, large pool terrace. You can walk directly into the forest from the campsite. Bouillon, with the castle, is well worth a visit. We also visited the slate mine near the campsite. For smaller children, the play forest on the campsite and the central playground are certainly a big plus.
Beautiful pitches, very clean sanitary facilities with lovely hot water, very friendly welcome at the reception. We will definitely come back here!
A very nice campsite with a nice and reasonably large playground and a very nice play forest with various cool equipment. There are not that many mobile home pitches and the pitches are very uneven / sloping. It is also difficult to drive off. Good sanitary facilities and very good showers with enough pressure and easily adjustable temperature.
Friendly welcome, clean mobile home and very well maintained sanitary block 👍👍👍blok
Nice campsite, beautifully located .. Good food .. We will definitely come back.
A Dutch-speaking campsite only, no one on the campsite can speak French properly. A shame, he could indicate on their site that French speakers are not welcome.
Very nice place to camp
Was expecting more...
Very good service and clean campsite ideal for children only a bit of problems with electric from camping for the rest top👍👍👍
Great campsite .. Although it has only 2 stars from us, it gets 5.Top for campers with kids.
Very nice and clean campsite
Super nice camping, kids and we really enjoyed ourselves
Very beautiful campsite ⛺ too bad we are leaving just Dutch. well worth remembering that we are still in bertrix in French Belgium. they dont go an effort for french dsl otherwise nice pool. corner very well maintained. I will meter 2 stars 🌟🌟. for the restaurant we ask for 3 spaghetti, I am told we have more than for children. I ask for 3 more meatballs except tomatoes, they tell me there is more that for children it becomes Weird. May 3 stek at 70 € there it is .. look for the error. ps and in the space that we were filled with big black fly there is a surely broken toilet connection the fly came out of this pipe we split 2 days earlier.
Beautiful campsite.Good sanitary facilities.Ideal with children.Very good for walking
We are very satisfied.
It is the best campsite to seek out rest.
Just good
Booked this campsite in September, we booked the Tamaris XL.Reception on arrival was nothing to criticize, friendly, everything was neatly explained and on arrival at our accommodation everything was just fine, clean and tidy, there was nothing to criticize. Also had dinner at the restaurant in the evening and because of the corona there were fewer tables set up, staff were friendly and the food was good too.The location of the campsite is also nothing to criticize, for us this campsite was very successful and 1 to remember for possibly booking again.
Well maintained campsite. Well located. The Ardennes hut in which we stayed for a week offers a warm atmosphere. Restaurant offering quality dishes.Just astonishing that not all the staff speak French.
Ashamed, we are in a city in Wallonia and yet no one speaks French! I am scandalized! They really monopolized the most beautiful places in Belgium, the coast, the Ardennes,And the Walloons continue to sleep while we monopolize your territory! Shame on you for having tolerated the Flemish to impose their laws in the heart of Wallonia
Stayed 3 nights at this campsite.Shamefully high price for such poorly maintained / clean sanitary facilities.Soap bottles diluted with water in Corona time, no disinfectants available. The WCs / Sinks / Showers are old, but thats no excuse to let it be downright nasty too.It seems that the cleaning lady cleans EVERYTHING on the campsite with 1 and the same cloth all season.Mold, smell of urine, hair, dirty stains on handles and shower walls. No, this campsite has had its day and has become a dairy cow that will be emptied at the lowest possible cost.A shame, because the location is superb. A day of mountain biking, and that was very nice! Nice villages in the area.
Normally we choose small-scale campsites (3 stars), but due to the busy camping summer they are all full and therefore booked a larger campsite for the 1st time where we could stand next to each other with 2 couples and kids. So we happy :-)Nice 4 day stay. However, as experienced Campers I would like to share the following findings.+ pitches 282 and 283, were nice and spacious with lots of shade and away from noise (bar, resto, playground).+ Bertrix at 2 km with carrefour, bakery, tasty pizzeria etc.+ day of semois fun with boat and inflatable tires at a waterfall, plage mortehan at 7 km.+ altitude trail at 4 km at Cap Nature was great.- Queuing up every morning at not really clean showers and toilets.- Time slots for swimming pool, queue up again (force majeure due to Covit 19).- Prices are way too expensive (about double and more of other 3 star campsites that we are used to and at least as nice or fun).
Shop closed, little variety of drinks on the terrace, plus little space, sanitary not clean, overcrowded pool in corona times, you wonder why still wear a mouth mask.... (This was 2020) now one year later (2021) shop still closed! If you want to have a drink on the terrace, you can wait +- 15 min to half an hour before you serve them, with the Easy Order app it can take even longer... Toilets and showers are still just as dirty as last year, there is absolutely no control on the wearing of mouth masks, at 11 pm it should normally be silence on the campsite but there is still yelling and yelling, loud music and the like and nothing is done about it, 4 star campsite is a bit exaggerated, 2 stars could be more like it...
Very rude staff, only think about profits
The mattresses provided in the aunts were very hard
Pleasant campsite, beautiful infrastructure on the edge of the woods.
Always been here with great pleasure. What a bad year. Plumbing far too little and with us 2/3 was broken. Sinks reek of urine all day long. Lots of noise until 03:00 at night. When reported, the night watchman would have to drive around the campsite ......... Never seen this fictional figure! In line for toilets, in line for showers, in line for pool tickets. Mouth mask should be shining but not for everyone. Swimming pool was a big drama for tickets see the picture. Drive 300 meters to be allowed to swim. Tickets on? Too bad with 40 degrees still a lot of fun. Bertrix understaffed? Financially in a slump or not interested?
This is a lovely campsite located in very beautiful surroundings. It has a swimming pool and reasonable sanitary blocks, but the place where you have to dispose of your waste is just the opposite: a pure shame. The large waste containers are bulging with waste and smell very hard. The pool requires a reservation due to Covid-19, which is great, but the system is not okay for such a large site. Every morning at nine oclock everyone (including very young children who want to sleep in!) Has to come and get a band with a color (a different color every 1h15) for a period for the same day. However, as the site is too big for the relatively small pool, the queues are huge and many people cant swim, which isnt fair as everyone pays for it. This gives absolutely no holiday feeling. Every hour and fifteen minutes, 120 people can enter and even then it is very busy, so the 1m50 distance cannot be guaranteed. Limit the number of people who are allowed to stay at the campsite so that it becomes less crowded, then you will have many more satisfied customers. You are better off swimming to the Semois, where it is not crowded and where you are also surrounded by beautiful nature. We certainly did not experience this as a 4 star campsite.
Large campsite, very busy. If you like a lively campsite, this is a must. Nice bread with the bread service. Nice entertainment for young kids (until 7 years old), limited for> 7 yrs. Sanitary facilities are fairly cleaned. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful for walking and cycling. BUT...Lots of traffic from cars and bicycles, especially from kids on bicycles and stunt scooters that cross downhill. Lots of noise in the evening until 1-2 am from young people and neighbors having a good time. The guard dogs from the excavation further on are often heard, even at night. The night guards only watch young people at the reception and playground. In addition to all this, we were close to the play forest where a water purification installation is continuously running during the day. Play forest itself is super! Swimming pool overcrowded in good weather, but heated and therefore also swimming at lower temperatures. WiFi very slow. Sanitary outdated, 2 vd 3 showers in the men continuously broken leaving only piping hot water. When washing dishes, there was only cold water. Clogged urinals several times. All in all, not our campsite. We prefer quieter campsites and find decent sanitary facilities important.
At the end of the season they dont have much to offer. But they dont adjust the prices either. The food here is expensive, for what you actually get instead ... We have now paid full price, and you would expect that you get a fair amount for your money. They close the pool at 7 pm, while it is open until 8 pm .. childrens ice creams are sold out, so they just have to pat their chin. Until you make your ears, then they want to help you.Its really not fun here, so at the end of the season ... expected more from it.
This campsite has been a beacon in my youth. My grandparents have had a pitch here for as long as I know. This of course also means that I have seen a lot change. As a result, I can say in good conscience that the campsite is not bad, but it is outdated. This can be seen in the sports field and the buildings.Very unfortunate, otherwise the atmosphere that was always there is still there. I enjoy it every moment of the dayReally recommended !!
Nice childrens campsite
Top campsite
Well ... the camping site has everything. From chip shop to swimming pool, from bakery to terrace. But if you pay attention to the details, it is sometimes a bit less. Sanitary facilities are not always fresh. And the green on the campsite could be neater. But I also believe that you can enjoy yourself here with children ... They say that they are a 4-star campsite ... I just cant give them ... I had a great holiday here with friends!
At first sight, a beautiful campsite. Have been here 1.5 weeks with our caravan. The place was certainly great. Caravan awning with bay window and awning no problem. And then enough space for the car. Downside is, small toilet shower room. In the men 3 showers, 2 of which are defective. 3 sinks with cold water, so shaving is a challenge. The food is good. Currently take out but that is understandable. There is plenty to do in the area. Well with masks and shortened routes, but fine. Conclusion. Nice for once but I wont be there anymore. There is plenty to do for children up to 12 years old. Only a small swimming pool for older children.
For the first time in a mobile home, not disappointed, impeccable cleanliness very well equipped .... small downside no French channel on TV.At the reception the hostess does not speak French but at least made some efforts.I recommend this campsite ..
The campsite was fully booked and during Corona times ... the sanitary buildings were really below all arrows. The mens piscines overflowed and the washbasin to wash up only had cold water, while the showers were always occupied. The cafeteria was not really clean and the fact that we had to wait 25 minutes to go to the camping site, even though it was already empty, because we were a little early was completely bizarre. You will not see us again.
Nothing to say except that not even a French TV channel. We are in Wallonia anyway
I had a very unpleasant experience with a person at the front desk on arrival. I was literally kicked out of the office for saying the campground is less than 100 square feet. I could have left, but I would have ruined the vacation of my family and three other families I convinced to go to this site. Im not saying I wouldnt come back, but the quality of customer service clearly needs to improve
It is a vast campsite in the middle of the Ardennes, very well equipped with swimming pool, playground for children, sports course in the woods, tennis and restaurant. The sanitary facilities are modern and very well maintained.Only flaw, we hardly speak French. English is however well used there.
It is true that I should have informed me better !!!At the reception, we do not speak French, ...No French channels on television ... pfffI am lost in my own country !!!Illogical !!!Definitely wont be coming back ....
