The food was good but not enough rice, the waiter was very unfriendly and had an AirPod in, the sparkling water was out of the tap and costs 7CHF per bottle (pre-bottled water is not available). The ambience was weird and stressed. Low value, high price

For European style Indian food, its ok. First place I have come across where butter chicken tastes the same as Rogan Josh. So either someone doesnt know how to cook or simply thinks no one will know the difference.

The food was very delicious with a good enough drinks menu. Had a ginger ice tea, which is there one of their speciality,it was good but was too sweet. The main dishes had an authentic Indian taste with complimentary rice and daal with every dish. The restaurant was not over priced according to Swiss standards. The ambience was very pleasant with outdoor sitting available. The service was pretty quick and the staff was very friendly and polite.

Great food, friendly staff, nice ambience. My favorite dish is the thali, served with lentils, chutney, pickle and raita. If youre lucky, theres some Biryani left (definitely give it a try!). Make sure to order extra extra spicy if you want it hot. Trois Dames IPA available if youre looking for the perfect complement to a spicy curry. More plus points: Chicken from Switzerland. Tons of parking available. Keep up the good work guys – ill be back ;)

Kesar is one of a Group of three Indian restaurants that I enjoy going to in Bern. It’s a little outside of the centre and the area feels quite industrial so to arrive into the beautiful, warm dining area of a heritage house is a pleasant surprise. The food is upmarket Indian, beautifully presented and served with tasty garnishes, sauces and chutneys. The tastes are very different and we took the thali which was presented in a way I’d never seen before. It’s not a cheap eat, but the price is worth the lovely locale and good food. Service was warm, helpful and welcoming. Will definitely return.

Try the ginger iced tea! Excellent service - very friendly and helpful. A nice patio. Delicious food. We started with delicately spiced and tangy samosas, followed by the vegan and the vegetarian chefs specials. Highly recommend.

Mouth watering Indian food! I had the Palak Gosht lamb, simply delicious. The white house wine was also lovely. Service very kind and friendly. Great atmosphere and authentic and delicious food. Kitchen couldn’t keep up with the amount of orders, so there was a bit of a wait until the food came, but otherwise top-notch experience.

The ambience was good and I had only Vegetarian food whose taste was good but there are less varieties/options. Its bit costlier compared to other available options in the city.

Mega yummy. We picked up two menus in the take away, No. 41 and 81. We both tasted great and the menus were also lovingly arranged in the take away trays. The garlic naan was fluffy. And on top of that, friendly staff when ordering and picking up.

The restaurant has de facto potential to become my next regular restaurant, which offers both: friendly and quick waiters, the seating is extremely pleasant and the distance between the tables is particularly appropriate. There you dont get the feeling of eating cucumbers in a can at night. Try this good cooking room, there is usually something for everyone on the menu.

The Indian food was excellent, the service very friendly. But when the restaurant was full, probably a few waiters were missing, so the service was a bit slow. When the restaurant was full, we found the noise level relatively loud. Otherwise, I highly recommend this restaurant.
