The location of the restautant is really cool! One of the coziest neighborhoods in Berlin with plenty of dinning options. The restaurant was ok, not the best though! I didnt like the plates presentations and the food itself was not that tasty nor that Indian authentic. I went there with a groupon coupon in an attempt to check out the atmosphere and taste the food and see if this will go on top of my favourite restaurants list. But unfortunately not even close! I am giving a 4-star just because the service was top and the manager was generous enough to get us a table at a very short notice. Also we went with a baby who was at times loud and threw food on the floor but they were extremely understanding and we didnt get weird looks about it 😁🙏So yeah, with the reduced coupon prices, it was pretty fair!
The place os ok.The food is tasty for the price. But some of the food is served heartless, like the salads. Looks like somebody quickly bumped veggies on the plate and served the way it is. It doesnt make the Dishes less tasty, just looks odd.We tryied some Indian wine. It was really tasty. Can only recomend.The overall atmosphere is fine.
Finally had the chance to try something at Yogi-Ashram after walking past many times. I got the Chicken Jalfrezi along with a garlic naan. I wish I could give a higher score but after taking out i was definitely not blown away as someone from the UK.Everything was serviceable and the ingredients seemed relatively fresh and the chicken was very tender but the overall flavour was quite lacking. There was a hint of ginger but other than that the main curry sauce just didnt do it for me. It had a more runny consistency than I personally like but not everyone might dislike that. Although Jalfrezi is generally a hotter dish this was very tame with heat. The rice was nicely cooked as well and wasnt dry so I cant fault that. I also think considering the lack of flavour the price is a bit much when you can get a giant plate of tasty food for half the price right round the corner. The naan was not really what Id call a proper naan and wasnt particularly strong in terms of garlic. The service however was quick and friendly with a free shot of lightly alcoholic mango juice.Its possible I may come back to try something else but Im in no rush especially with the price.
Service is good. Food had less richness to flavour. Less oil would be nice with fresh ingredients.Indian Tea was average and the location is good.

Really good restaurant. I tested different meals with friends and everything was really good. I tested as well the tequila cocktail, very good.The staff is really kind and cool.For sure, for my next stop in Berlin, I will come back.
Average taste and preparation.Meat dishes consist mostly of sauce and vegetables.The meat (lamb with mushrooms) was mostly tendons. Very bad quality and low price cuts.Our servings where clearly not fresh. Even the rice felt like yesterdays. If a kitchen cant get the rice right (that takes ~10 mins to make), then it needs some serious overhaul.At the end, even though we ordered entrees and main courses we were not full.This place is an easy pass for us.

The food is pretty good, but its way too toned down in terms of spices. Please add some real flavour to your dishes! If I wanted bland, tasteless food, I would go to a German restaurant :D

Unbelievable service
This place not only has great food, but also really friendly staff. You can go eat there with three people and have to pay less than 50 euros so it isnt very expensive. I do have to say that the place isnt too big, so if you are planning on going with a lot of people you should definitely reserve a table. In overall, a great place with a lot of delicious food and also lots of dishes for vegetarians.

Its a cozy place and they make fresh dishes for most of the orders. If you are sitting near the counter, the aroma pervades the air with a genuine Indian feeling. Staff is courteous and friendly. Being close to the city center makes it even more convenient to visit the place.I was impressed by their diligence to reserve the table beforehand. The menu is just great with a variety of choices from diversified Indian delicacy.

Decent restaurant, humble staff. As a indian, I would rate this restaurant as 75% indian authentic food, the reason for -25% is because food is made as per German taste so that it is not spicy. Menu has very good options. I was there with friends and opted to sit outside. Outside tables are not comfortable for 4 members, it is congested, not enough place to keep all plates. Overall it was a good experience and tasty food. There was surprise litchi desert and tequila shot at the end. Request : When someone asks for complete authentic indian food, please do the same ofcourse with an upfront warning of spiciness. Cost is nominal.
Easy going feel when you want relaxed feel. I usually eat the ear their mixed meats Bryani with rice and some sauces. Its a huge portion fit for a man sized appetite. When you have a craving for Indian food, I can recommend the place. Service is prompt and friendly.

I ordered food today but it never got delivered. I tried contacting both lieferando.de and Yogi-Ashram, no one replied. I am never going to order food from this restaurant.
First of all, the staff was nice and considerate.Had the Shabzi Jhalfrezi. Was as spicy as I hoped.The dish was filling and just overall enjoyable.Pricing is overall fair.Overall recommend the restaurant.

Best indian restaurant I have ever visited... Have been there 7 times, and keep returning after each Berlin Marathon participation. Also affordable. 5 stars clearly.
Was overall good experience. Staff is good. Tastes like indian.can get both spicy and non spicy food. Nice place to sit. Can hear bollywood music running in background. If anyone wants to taste an indian food, i recommend to go here. You will not return home dissappointed.

The best place for authentic indian food. My ratings in terms of Quality - lovely taste of food especially paneer dishes..good ambience....the vegetable pulav is the best. Cost - most affordable for the lovely dishes served....Delivery - they have a pleasing ambience and the staff is gentle and strives hard to get u the authentic taste what you like....thanks a lot yogi ashram for the lovely food

Ive tried many of the Indian restaurants in Friedrichshain, and this is the one I keep going back to. Great lamb and fish curries, and theyre not afraid to kick up the spice of you ask for it.
