The food is always extremely tasty. This is our favorite Indian place in the east bay. So happy they have this location on south side. The food is made very quickly, and ordering online is very easy.Would always recommend.

When I came in I received an amazing warm welcome! The atmosphere was cheery and I felt very loved, which is interesting for a first time restaurant visit, but I liked it! As we left they wished us an amazing and fun day!Great service :)I only tried the vegetable pakoras, and they were pretty good! 👍 From me

I wish I can give -ve review or zero star for this God awful place. We came from out of station and were super hungry. They brought chicken lollipop with no salt/seasoning. Then the roghan Josh and chicken Tikka came in with no salt at all. Now we ate lollipop cause we were super hungry with no complaints at all. But curry was impossible to eat with no salt. We told the old Indian lady waiter/manager the same. But she blatantly refused and said this is how things are made for American people. I have been here since almost a decade never got such bad service and rude response at all. As if we have never ate restaurant/ Indian restaurant food.i. Writing this review literally when I am at the restaurant. I am so furious that I cant wait to write this.My friends baby was hungry and cranky and the old lady literally shush him. Rude service and dont how to talk to customer 😡Please dont waste your time and money. Not paying single penny as a tip here!!!

Amazing Indian food, really great in every way. I literally drive 30-40 minutes to eat from here. Their chicken tika masala and samosas are particularly great!The one star review below is entirely off base and I am very frustrated that someone would be so inconsiderate. Definitely give this place a try!

This restaurant was amazing! They have very fair prices and a multitude of options. Super quick and nice service as well as a nice atmosphere. Food was very tasty and the meals come with rice and two pieces of bread!

Stranded, looking for food on Christmas Eve, Delhi Diner Berkeley took us in and fed us right before they closed. Solid Indian street food, my chicken tikka masala slow-burned with a tasty heat. Yummy naan too.

They claim fresh food, but it’s far from it. Their rotis and chappatis are frozen items that they just microwave it. I am sure the other items are like this too. I called them up and they kept saying fresh, I challenged them and they agreed that they just use it frozen and don’t make it fresh. Making fresh chappati literally takes a min.Their food is always very oily and doesn’t taste anything like Indian food at all. Just making coloured food is not Indian.

Their curries, rotis and biryanis are really good! But not a fan of their chicken lollipop. However, their lunch menu is great value and very tasty.

Best Indian food in Berkeley!!! New restaurant in neighborhood. Delicious authentic Indian taste. Can’t beat the price $10-12: they serve huge portions of two curries, rice and soft naan!!! Complete lunch! I love their chicken curry. Fresh food with lots of other street food variety. Also, their staff is very nice and friendly.

In house dining, food hot, decent portions

Wish there were a zero star option. First I received food with 3 times the salt in a regular serving, secondly, I’ve been a vegetarian all my life and have managed to eat vegetarian food in all the restaurants around (dine in or order in) I received chicken saag when I ordered saag paneer. Absolutely unacceptable.

While Ive liked the Delhi Diner fare from the Solano Avenue spot, this place is a different ballgame: the food was mediocre and looked like it had been sitting around in hot trays for some years. The samosas were clearly refried to reheat them up and arrived in a pool of grease which was pretty disgusting. Seemed overpriced.

Im glad they opened the Berkeley location also now. Consistent food taste and good variety of dishes is why we keep coming back here

Fantastic food and it comes with a significant portion size! Owners are friendly and service is great.

Great Indian food! I always get the chicken tikka masala

I went here last week and ordered a chicken plate. The plate came with rice and naan bread. However, I did not expect that 2/3rds of the plate was rice. Also, I only received THREE pieces of chicken for my plate. The chicken pieces were tiny. Sure it was tasty, but I did not pay $12+ to eat a plate full of rice. Save your money and go elsewhere as this establishment is cheap and tries to swindle its customers through tiny protein portions and an insane amount of rice.

I went there today and got myself Samosa Chat, it was just like Samosa Chat made in India. Authentic Taste, will surely recommend everyone to try Delhi Diner.
