π I was talking a whole of shβοΈt to my boyfriend about how this food better be good. I wanted to go somewhere else.Well Fire wings, I looked my boyfriend in the eyes and said well fine; you are right. The food was delicious. The Peanut butter wings and the garlic noodles π€©ππΎ!! Iβm a fan!!
Must try wings!!! Would definitely choose this place over wing stop any day. The wings were crispy and well seasoned, lemon pepper and spicy Korean. We also order garlic fries and zucchini which were my favorite, round weβll fine and crispy. We ordered and picked up, prices were reasonable and so was the wait time about 7ish during the week. Dine inside still closed, would like to go back to try the rest of their flavors.
Love the wings!! BUT, never had this happen, and we order out a lot!!. dont understand why you have to show your license and credit card used to pick up your prepaid order..I went to pick up order for my daughter and was asked to show all this proof but didnt have her debit card and almost didnt get order that was paid for, since the order was ready for pickup..the order was in my name and email, the email only said order was ready...Fire wings needs to stop that request for proof of card used!!!
Great wings but bad customer service in my opinion. I donβt care how good the food is if the costumer service is bad, itβs an automatic one star for me.
Ive had positive experiences here many times before, but yesterdays experience warrants a good review. I had four different items on my visit, and I was very happy with all four of them. Most notably, on my boneless wing item, I was given an extra half-wing. Other restaurants sometimes consider a small piece as a full piece. Fire Wings cares more about its customers than those places. Fire Wings made sure they would not short a customer half a wing! Rather than count that small piece as a full piece, they gave me an extra piece altogether. This attitude of not cutting corners (even for small orders) speaks volumes!
My housemate and I ordered wings+zucchini chips+jalapeno poppers on a Friday night. There was a sizable line of people waiting for food, but we managed to get our food at the promised pick-up time. Everything was delicious! For the chicken that came in a 4-pack, if the chicken pieces were on the smaller side, Fire Wings threw some extra chicken pieces in there, which was a pleasant surprise.
Exceptional wings for an exceptional price. I was particularly fond of the Parm Garlic dry rub, Korean Kick, as well as the Original Buffalo in terms of flavor. Overall, I prefer bone in wings but the boneless wings were quite good although I didnt feel the flavor permeate in the meat of chicken as much as it did in the bone in. The restaurant was very clean, and the wings came after about 5-8 minutes after ordering them, which was a bit long but thats totally fine considering the social aspect of sharing wings. Try this place out on a Tuesday and you get 60c boneless wings during happy hour!
This place is fantastic! My new obsession is the garlic Parmesan wings. They have super crispy exterior and dripping in butter. The lemon pepper had a great tanginess to them. I also tried the regular buffalo and they were great too. Plus they had some other side dishes that I really want to try like the garlic noodles!
Fire wings is a fun little spot. They have pretty good chicken and a decent selection of beer on tap. Korean BBQ flavor options. Wait time is somewhat expected and can be loud and busy at times. This place is loud and lively! So if quiet and cozy is what youre looking for this is not the place to go. Portions are phenomenal 2 meals in 1 for me.
Boneless wings are basically just nuggets of chicken meat fried and tossed in whatever sauce you chose. But the Monday - Tuesday boneless special is pretty nice, 70Β’ each (3/19 price) and the large fries are a pretty decent size, for $3 for regular. I would definitely go again when I have a chicken craving. I got salt and pepper, dragon, Saigon street and garlic parmesan. The flavors were nice, but I probably wont order salt and pepper again, I was expecting a similar flavor to that of salt and pepper dishes from a Chinese restaurant, but the flavor just wasnt strong enough so those wing tasted like your basic chicken with a little salt and pepper sprinkled on. While Dragon wings were tangy they didnt lean towards being hot or sweet, while the Saigon street ones leaned towards a sweet flavor. And the garlic parmesan ones were nice, they were as expected.
So i had the best experience here. I am definately a wing head and will be back. I got Lemon Pepper which was my fave. I got Buffalo Stampede which has like a weird cheesy flavor and isnt that hot but is still good. I got teriyaki i liked, lousiana rub which wasnt my fave kinda salty. And my uncle got garlic Parmasean which he said wasnt very garlicly. Seasoned fries are better than the regular ones. One thing i didnt like was that the fries werent fresh.
0 star! Ordered online to pick up. Waited 30 minutes after checking in to get the food because a girl messed up with the order. And she didnβt even say sorry or whatever. Plus, some foods were missing. Just horrible service. I havenβt tried the food yet and already a 0 star for me.
The 1st time I went delicious it was a Friday night. This 2nd time just too salty.
I looked for the best chicken wings in the area, and yelp didnt disappoint me! The wings are just perfect!!! Crunchy and not oily, and great flavors. The parmesan garlic are a classic but they took it at the next level! I love it!
Breakfast burritos are a must try. Salsa and the potato hash are also excellent. Quick service and you get a good bang for your buck.
Initial Experience: I called in my order and was put on hold for 7 mins. I ordered my food and was told it was a 15-20 min wait. I get there and there were No indications of how the line was moving. There was a delivery truck that had blocked most of the sidewalk and you had to go around. I watched a worker go into a storage room and grab some items off the ground of the room. I shouldβve walked away then knowing that this is a No No in the food industry and he shouldβve known that as well. Paid for my order after waiting about 5 mins in line and the price was a little off of what was quoted on the phone. The Cashier was kind enough to fix it with a slight discount. He told me it would be abut 7-8 mins. I came back and it was a line again and figured since it seemed like only one line for pick up and ordering that I had to wait again. So now, I waited to order over the phone, had to wait in line to pay for my food and when I arrived, I had to wait to pick up my food. When I get to the front of the line, I was told another 2 mins as they were working on my order. I told her that the order on the table was probably mine because I order the Pink Lemonade. She said No and that itβs for another customer and that they were all out of that flavor. I just ordered a regular Lemonade and grabbed my order which I shouldβve checked well before I left. I ordered 8 pc combo half Buffalo and half Jamaican Jerk, Garlic Fries and Hawaiian Rolls. Only thing good was the Rolls and Lemonade. I asked for Crispy Wings and I received dried out super small Wings. The garlic fries were not not good to me, they were a thicker cut which I donβt like and wasnβt dressed well. I had some darker fries mixed in as I knew they didnβt clean the fry basket out between orders. I ate what I could but 50% of the fries went in the trash and I did eat most of the Wings that were edible. My meal was ruined because I had the FireWings in Alameda and this did not compare at all. Very Subpar!Overall Experience: They seemed like they have No kind of ordering system in place and it showed in the way the workers were all over the place with the orders. They need a better system on how to order and pick up food because the one in place is not efficient. The Food was gross and I wouldnβt purchase here again. I left a message on the text that was sent saying I was disappointed and No response. I called back the next day and left my information with a young lady who told me that the manager was not available and why didnβt I call back the same day to complain. A day later, and No response from the Company. I would like my money back but at this point, itβs a lost cause. I would not recommend this location for service on any level. Management has to be terrible to think this kind of service is acceptable.
Very quick service given how many people that are constantly coming through the door. The wings were fantastic, as there is a large selection of flavors and spice levels that people can choose from. I always enjoy asking the servers what their favorite flavors are and ordering those flavors, and I can assure you that the servers know their flavors and are very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend Fire Wings Berkeley for anyone looking to get the best wings in town!
Horrible too many kids working there the service was real bad they got my order mixed up two times the best fire wings to go to is Alameda Berkeley fire wings is not good at all
Ordered Buffalo wings, and while the Buffalo flavor was good the wings themselves were flaccid, in no way crispy, and rubbery. The bleu cheese dressing was watery. I could have let that go if the wings were crispy, but no. They do get points, however, for allowing you to order all flats or drumettes. I may try them one more time in case it was an off day. Why are really good wings so hard to find?
60 minutes for wings, no accurate times...trash
Its ok, but They didnt give me any dipping sauce for my wings l, or dressing for my salad.
I just loved their dishes. I always get fantastic customer service there. The place is neat and the staff members are always very welcoming. Will come back again.
They do wings right, with lots of choices. Although Ive tried a few of their other flavors, I stick with the original buffalo style wings with blue cheese dip.
OMG! I will never step foot in another Wingstop EVER!!!! If you in Berkeley and you love wings you have to make your way there. You will not be disappointed.
Food was good but they arent offering combos therefore your food cost more
Delicious chicken wings. They have a variety of flavor and dips.
They normally be on point but I was throwed off chicken wings lil to big and garlic noodles was dry on top of cot mouth ...gotta be wet maybe next time...the nite cooks be on tho
A decent wing place in Berkeley. Popularity is probably due to the fact that there are one of the only wing places around. Monday Tuesday 70Β’ boneless wings. Their hottest sauce is not too spicy.
Candy π¬ π« π π¬ π« π (DELICIOUS)
If I could give fire wings 10 βοΈ I would! They are HELLA better than wing stop and any other wing place here in the Bay. Iβm a fan!
Delicious. Better than Wing Stop in my opinion. Noodles were good. Lemon pepper and Salt and Pepper wings were my favorite.
Really love their wings. SPECIALLY MALAYSIAN CURRY AND MANGO HABANERO IS MUST
Really good. Love the tots but I wish they had Vegetarian wings. I always want to go there with work friends but a lot of them dont eat meat. Besides that they are great!
Great tasting fried chicken wings with amazing flavor profiles. With over 15 different choices of season and sauce to choose from; Fire Wings is the buzz in the heart of downtown Berkeley. Staff are friendly and the price is reasonable. The restrooms could use a little attention; as well as the cashier/counter area(presentation is key). Parking is typical for the location do wear some walking shoes, but well worth the hike. Seating is limited and there can be s wait. None if this out shined the fresh taste of there signature wings. (Salt n Pepper, Korean are a must do). Next on my list are the Peking wings. Jerk chicken is a no for now. Move over Wingstop theres a nee kid in town and hes on Fire!!!
The staff was amazing and the wait was short. Food was hit and tasty. Beer on tap and self serve soda machine. Clean inside and outside. Will be back soon
What a great spot! Giving Wing Stop a run for there money! Especially since they offer more than fries and veggies for sides!
Fabulous fried chicken sandwiche!
Literal worst wings and fries Ive ever had! First my order was wrong, and when I came on time for pick up I had to wait. This would, of course, allude to having fresh food - nope! The fries I got tasted and felt like theyd been laying around in oil for 20 minutes (cold and stake) and half of my wing order was cold inside. Ill never come here again.
Love these wings!!! So many different flavors and the garlic noodles are so tasty. Wayyy better than Wing Stop.
Wings were hella good. Sandwich was alright
Grand opening was today during warriors playoff game. There were lots of fans watching the game with a bunch of TVs around. The food here is good and there are a lot of different flavors to choose from. My favorite is definitely the peanut flavor. They also have a couple different beer options on tap as well. Overall great spot to eat and taste different wing flavors that no other wing spot has.
Some of the best wings Ive ever had. Try the salt and pepper wings. Prices also pretty reasonable.
A pretty solid wings restaurant although, in my opinion, the Fire Wings werent even that spicy. A bunch of the different flavors are tasty so Id recommend trying them all and finding your favorite!
They dont answer the phones.. its really bad..
Wings are great. Lots to choose from. Sports channels on all TVs. Young college students mostly. Nice atmosphere. Mostly a place to socialize. Friendly staff.
Nice food, lots of calories but thats what you come here for, can be a little slow sometimes but its worth the wait.
Pretty decent spot. Dropped in here with a few friends and got some wings. The flavors and quality is on par with places like bdubs. The service is really friendly and helpful at all times, definitely more of young college kid crowd. If youve got a bit of money to spend on a meal, youll find some better quality options in downtown berkeley.
Their take out experience needs a little tweaking but the food is always amazing. We like the buffalo and dragon wings, tots and seasoned fries, and the salads. Wings are huge, sides are huge. Everything is delicious.
My go to for wings. I usually get the 8 piece combo (lemon pepper & regular bbq, bone in) with fries and a Dr.P. The wait for take out can be a bit long. I recommend going there with time to spare.
Absolutely incredible! From classic buffalo to Asian inspired flavors Fire Wings has you covered! The wings are cooked to perfection and are served with a wide variety of side dishes. So far my favorites were the Korean and Singapore flavors.
You can tell from the outside that there is a cozy and modern spot inside. This is a great people for people who love wings. They basically have every flavor you want. If you are a fan of chicken wings, this place is for you.
The Berkeley store is terrific 5 stars and worthy of a visit. Avoid the Alameda store as the kitchen is so small and the wait is often an hour long did wings.Visit the Berkeley store.
Wings had very little sauce on them. Fries were cold. From the size of the bar I guess they are trying to sell a lot draft beer.
Wings were pretty good. Definitely a major upgrade from wingstop and buffalo wild wings. Food didnt have excessive amounts of sauce or rub.
This place is legit! Itβs so good and their variety of flavors is amazing! And itβs really close to campus so thatβs pretty good too
The food is great but normally cold by the time you get it because I the staff is poorly trained. They have whole systems that make no sense. I wonβt be back here
Delicious wings. Get too many and enjoy some leftovers. The fried zucchini and tots are also dope. Theyβve got one of those machines that lets you do strawberry dr. Pepper.
Decent wings at a decent price. For dry, go with the garlic parmesan. For wet, go with Saigon street!
30 minutes for some wings. Get it together
Its pretty good a bit more than others, but its in Berkeley so of course it will be.Still liked the wings. Its a $$ though so keep that in mind.
Quick service. wings were great. had teriyaki and the Louisiana dry rub.
Always a long wait but so worth it! Wingstop has some stiff competition!
Great spot . Hope they continue to hire professional cooks
Best deal on wings in the entire Bay Area!
Great wings and fries. The location always seems very clean.
This is the best place to go if you want to fire up your every day style
Bad experience... Charged me for the dressing and did not put it in my pickup order. I realized dressing was not there when got home and also that my order was not correct either. Tried to call them several times and never answered... terrible service really
Best wings I had in USA so far. In-house. I recommend the cajun flavor - thats the best.
The Best Wings Ever!
Fire wings werent that hot but they were good though:-)
Very good, full of flavor spicy an DC bbq! Highly recommend
Tried thai chili, salt and pepper and mango habanero. The mango is alright not that good. Garlic noodle was too dried. Good wings and price overall
Chicken was dry, season wasnβt distributed evenly on the chicken. No batter on chicken. The one In Sacramento on Laguna Blvd is so much better. Highly disappointed.
Food was good, but a little dry. Went with friends who had a service dog, and was treated with the manager being weirdly suspicious. Staff was waiting around so idk if they were talking or working.
Great wings here but the place can be dirty at times. Staff needs to clean up more often.
Good service and great food will return..
Tried the Nashville Fire chicken sandwich combo, it was good, and even at minimum spiciness it was hot spicy. Fries was over cooked, service was slow.
Food was alright but could be better if they didnt try hard to be like KFC or Wing Stop. Come up with new flavors and deals and better prices than both of them and better food quality you can taste and not to greasy and not to dry.
We thought the sauce flavors were fine, not outstanding but not bad. However we found the quality of the wings to be very poor, they were extremely chewy and the breading was soggy.
Cant have wings any other way now. Must try salt and pepper and lemon pepper wings!
Love this place!!! Wings and garlic noodles are on point (pictured: garlic noodles, salt and pepper wings, and lemon pepper wings)
Bomb fries and wings are so spicy
Pretty good the first time. Second time, Im straight. Third time, Im thinking Ill come back but in like a month or two haha.
Peanut Butter wings are FYE
Better than Wingstop. More flavor
This place is super slow. Ive been to upscale restaurants and diners that are way faster than this.
Great selection as always and awesome customer service.this place is a bit smaller but its obviously in the more dense community
Wings fresh tasty plumb & juicy reasonable price great service..Wing stop needs to STOP..FIRE WINGS IS IT THE BESSSSST
There was only one other person waiting for an order when I arrived and it took them 20 minutes for an order of three chicken strips and a side of veggie sticks. When they gave me my order to go they verbally confirmed my order, but when I checked the bag later they forgot the side. Not fast, not reliable, but the food is good.
Not worth it, high price cheap taste and quality
Overall, pretty good. The wings are good and noticably less greasy than Wing Stop. The salad I got was also large and fresh. However, the prom sizes are quite small for wings. The garlic parmesan wings I got were noticably stunted compared to the competition and other wings I got. I also found Fire Wings to be a bit on the pricey side.
Really good selection. Customer Service training is needed at times.
Good wings. Weird atmosphere.
