Iβm writing this review after 2 spoonfuls in. Incredibly flavorful rice and fragrant, succulent shrimp. Itβs delightful. Iβm glad to have found an exceptional Indian restaurant in Berkeley. π Thank you chef Nick!
Food made with love. BEST Indian food in Berkeley!
They dont have a food truck business anymore unfortunately (which is how I was introduced to them, at their 62nd/Hollis location serving the Emeryville lunch crowd pre-COVID) but their brick and mortar store on Shattuck is even more accessible (especially at dinnertime, yum!), and more importantly, just as delicious. The sabjis here in general are far more interesting than what you get at your average Indian restaurant (in my opinion, anyway). Their menus are refreshed monthly. Looking forward to October!
Authentic Indian food, brilliantly prepared. The lamb boti kebab and murgh musallam were outstanding - so tender and flavorful! No other Indian restaurant in the Bay Area cooks food like this. This place is a must-try.By the way, the mango lassi has rose in it. Just a heads up.
Authentic, delicious, and well curated! Its a family run business, and the experience is obviously crafted with care.Excellent vegetarian options -- try the gobi with all the sides. The pulao, dal, and phulka are a complete meal all by themselves.Attentive service, charming ambiance, and lovely hammered copper decorations are highlights.BE HERE
This place is a hidden gem!!
So amazing. I love this place. Itβs the best Indian food Iβve had in the Bay. Iβve loved every dish!! Extremely high quality and cooked with great intention and care. The only downside is that it gets really chilly in there! Brrrr.I also love how friendly and helpful everyone is. The chefs often say hello and goodbye too. An all around A++ restaurant.
Its is the best Indian food in the Bay Area by far. The owners strive for quality and unique regional menus. The basics like dal and chutney are even prepared with a lot of care not to mention their amazing specialties.
Wow!I love Indian food, really really love it. I obsess about spice combinations and reproducing the flavors from that region of the world from scratch in my own kitchen. But, usually, when I go to Indian restaurants, the quality of the ingredients is lacking and it ruins the whole experience. Not at Munch India! The ingredients here are exceptional quality, the flavors are incredibly balanced, and your mouth will experience spicy, wild, wonderful ecstasy.
This place is awesome! Great food, great service, really cute ambiance. Will definitely go again!
Amazing cuisine done just right! I knew we were in for a treat when I walked in and saw the large spice jars all along the kitchen shelf. Menu is small but changes often.
Excellent and flavorful food. Its different.Loved the hosts.
This place has Excellent food. Great. You do need to make a reservation. The place is small.
Very quiet and attractive 10-table restaurant with weekly menus featuring less well knownβand deliciousβIndian fare. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or dinner out with friends.
#vegetarianfriendly everything was delicious. Only caveat is that the chicken thigh dish was a smaller portion than expected. Noodle bowls were pretty big though.
Every single bite was delightful.
One of the best Indian food experiences of my life! Highly recommend
