I love this community area Japanese restaurant especially they serve western americano or latte. Is not easy to find a Japanese restaurant that serves coffee together. This is a non halal Japanese where they serve pork hotpot & loves their Buta Shogayaki don. My son loves the sushi so much. A good place for family or friends gathering especially if you do not want to go into town. Our weekly restaurant before MCO
Food was not exactly mind-blowing. Its good, but at the same time, its lacking. Price is a little on the high side, but still easily accessible to anyone whos keen to try Japanese food. Sadly to say, I wasnt very impressed, and the Price vs Taste was underwhelming.Service and tidiness was spot on, nothing to complain about.
Spider Maki is really nice where the Soft Shell Crab being fried to crispy and maintain it taste! For the Wagyu Pate, didnt exactly notice the Pate where the Wagyu get all my attention, I will prefer a whole meat rather than the Pate, is a waste if the meat is fresh, cant really taste the beauty of the Wagyu. Tofu Cheesecake quite nice too!Price on high side for the portion given.
Its our second visit to this place. Its a family friendly place that. They serve yummy food with reasonable price. Sashimi are fresh, coffee also quite good. Their service very good, even accept my not so reasonable request to have Age Udon without Udon. XDXD sorry for the inconvenience caused but I personally dont like Udon but love the sweet beancurd with soup thus dont feel like wasting food. Thank you for your understanding.^^Will be back to try other food on the menu.
Food not bad. Service is good. But I think the staff can reduce the frequency to check for customer empty plate as it will give us an impression that you want us to left the shop as soon as we have done our meal or the kitchen in fact is not enough tableware. I know the reason is to let the customers have pleasant dining experience if the table is cleaned. The shop is not big, the staff always can check it from the counter.
Cozy Japan cafe serving good quality foods. 1) Avocado salad (RM21.50) with touch of crispy fried lotus root pair with sweet soya dressing taste awesome! 2) Sushi are freshly made with quality ingredients. 3) Garlic and salmon fried rice (RM18) is fragrance and generous rice portion but salmon could be a bit more :pFood prices slightly on high side as compared to surrounding neighborhood. Cafe latte (RM8.50) taste good and inexpensive.
Very nice tasting Japanese food. Love the soumen with the thick sesame sauce, but the portion is really small. The salad and miso soup there were served with the soumen are decent, just not the cheese cake, it taste super weird. The grilled pork rice is really good too, they just melt inside your mouth.
Interesting restaurant. Its a lab where they design new Japanese food. Fried salmon skin with no salmon taste, plain taste miso soup, hand roll in a special holder. Other food, just missing the authentic Japanese food feeling. Its not my taste of Japanese food.I still prefer traditional Japanese food which more authentic taste.
Amazing experience. The food was exceptionally delicious. I ate a hearty set meal from them. Great music taste as well. Highly recommend.
Overall Food is good but pricey. The tamago maki no good. Dry.The tofu cheesecake is good. But if u r looking for a bigger portion, then u might not wanna order that. The salmon pasta is very milky. If u r a milky person u can go for it.The salmon don is good. Taste good and complete with all the colors and appetizing.
Frequent patron to this place, the food has been consistently good though the price is slightly on the high side, but the premium is worth it for the quality of preparation. The chefs are down to earth and approachable, often coming to the customer to check on how customer feel about the food. Favorite dish is their buta kakuni don, succulent and very satisfying.
Must try their Salmon Don, nice~
A well-kept secret for non-residents of Bandar Mahkota Cheras and Bandar Sg Long. The award-winning chef has represented Malaysia at the 2018 World Sushi Cup does a great job, serving up top notch sushi, beef and pork dishes prepared modern Japanese-style. Prices slightly higher than the average mall-based restos but the food quality justify the cost. There are set meals and don (rice) bowls so you can enjoy a decent meal without breaking the bank.
Our family must go Japanese restaurant for nice sushi. The bosses are very friendly, their staff also very attentive.
The food is great. My kid love it. Just the price a bit high
Food are fresh and delicious, sake also taste smooth, service very good. The boss are friendly and gv a compliment of tofu cheese cake for my birthday celebration here.
Though it may be slightly pricey, they offer good food. The Japanese food somehow has blended with a pinch of local taste and western taste sort of like fusion. A very friendly owner and staff are helpful in determining your taste preference. Although the deco may be simple, it is nicely done. Try the Cheese Tofu and those who like Sashimi, the TCL special is highly recommended by the chef. If you just like skyjuice, the orange mint leaf flavoured water is free flow. There is a power point at most of the tables for labtops.
Nice food. Salmon fried rice are yummy. Recommended
Service was fast efficient, food was fresh and seriously delicious.
The food is good and has standard, unlike some so called Japanese lestoran who price is cheap but spoil market & food authenticity. We will definitely be back. Keep up the great tasting food!! Be prepare to wait for table as they follow SOP. 👍
Sushi is slightly better than Hana Tei, comes with wasabi and pickled ginger slices.Tasty even without condiment. The tofu cheese cake is a must-try.Lemon & peppermint infused water is served for free.Hidden gem in BMC.
The coffee quality was bad practically over roasted the coffee beans and pour with boiling water , sushi wise some are ok but the salmon was dry and not freshPlus was the tofu cheese cake and the wasabi was alter to cater the Malaysian pallet
An unassuming Japanese restaurant run by two chefs who prepare the dishes at the front counter. Cosy. Very fresh salmon sashimi. Excellent service. Fantastic matcha ice cream and green tea latte.Washroom can do with some nice Japanese touches.
Chawanmushi is good, the Tuna is amazing, Cheese cake is fabulous but portion too small, and recommend to Serve it at the end as it start meltingDrink is normalIf I know the restaurant serve drink, will not order any drinksWill come again
Impressed with the fresh sushi had here especially salmon. This Japan restaurant never fail me and the food is delicious and quality.came for third times but the food still tasty and always suprise mePrice is reasonable and affordable
The food are great
The food was fresh and scrumptious..service also good👍
First time here, friend recommended. Salmon skin surprisingly light and crispy, with mayo is the best combination. Lunch set price is reasonable with the quality. 👍🏼
I’ve try so many Japanese restaurants in town, so far this is the originally tasty at its range. Fusion Japanese Food is good, friendly staff... price is slightly higher but worth of the price. It’s now my favorite restaurant here now. Highly recommend!!!
Nice Japanese food
Great place for you to have a decent japanese food...the food is nice and delicious! 😋
Fresh sashimi and amazing black pork! Chefs/Owners are attentive with fast and good service
Highly recommended. One of the best japanese restaurant Ive tried so far! Yummylicious food, great service, comfy and clean environment. Love it and most definitely will go back again ❤️
Attention to details, transforming ordinary into extravagant, max hospitality, greatest value for money. Two Chef Lab manage to bring utmost respected Japanese culinary into the community. Down to earth but they splurged in ingredients and attentive hospitality. Highly recommended. Ask for Omakase.
Good food
This is one of the weirdest restaurant Ive ever been. Selling mostly Japanese food but no hot green tea. The food quality is very good. But frankly, the coffee is a bit disappointing.
Ambiance of the restaurant was good. Took some time for our water to be served. Food tasted good. However, theres room for improvement. The rice was a bit too soft. Also, my food arrived very late. The waitress said it was due to the rice which was still being cooked. It wouldve been nice to have been preempted that I would have to wait for my food. I thought they had forgotten about my order. They accept credit cards and FavePay for payment.
Strengths: A good foodie place at lunch/dinner, can also be a work study place during quiet times. The sushi here is of excellent quality, other dons and such are OK. Coffee is decent. The outstanding service and passion from the owners and staff makes me come back here. Good WiFi. Cons: Other food can be hit and miss but overall an enjoyable eat. Parking here can be tricky. A tad pricey but worth it.
The food were delicious , service was fast and friendly. Would go again ....
Nice sashumi and sushi
Food is good. Service so-so. Staffs always behind counter chatting.
Good food and highly recommended
Japanese food is nice, service is good
Overall it was good :) ordered Saba fish set n sushi set lunch.
Food is really nice! And the price is reasonable! Award winning chef!
Comfortable and clean place to dine in. Passionate Chefs serving good and quality food.In their special menu: Aburi Engawa Sushi is a must try!
Given the quality of food and service a bit overpriced.
Environment is so-so. Food is normal. Price is expensive. Not worth visiting.
The food is actually quite good, only if u get the discounted price
Ordered some salads and some sushi and its was really good. The price is a bit on the premium side but you get what you paid for. Fresh , clean and all round one of the best Japanese fusion in mahkota
My family enjoys the food all the time especially Salmon Mentai, Tamago Mentai n the alberico ribs. Yummy.
Good and delicious food, worth to try, I will for sure come back for more
Food are superb! Very fresh ingredients used and all that we ordered taste great! Prices are reasonable for the quality offered.
Fresh and high quality sushi. Highly recommended. Bear in mind its quite pricey. Remember to download uPocket before visiting for discount!
Food is overall ok, just that location is a bit far behind hence visibility is low for non-mahkota cheras resident to notice it. Tried the unagi-don. Overall taste is good, if change the onsen into omelette is even better!
Best Japanese cuisine nearby. Also feel origin Japanese chef in the kitchen.
Great food. Just a lil bummed that there is no green tea
The best Bara Chirashi i had this year. Coffee is very good too. Definitely worth a visit
Everything was fine. Time for preparing dishes are reasonable. Food are slightly abit pricey but overall its ok. Who ever wonder is it nice or not I think its worth the try.
High quality and scrumptious japanese food with reasonable price. Taste bud satisfied. Must try their kakuni Don, seafood carbonara, tofu cheese cake, tamago, tcl signature Mali, unakyu maki, salmon sushi fiesta, black pork sushi.I will award my Michellin star to this restaurant and definitely will be back to try all their dishes in the menu.
Japanese cuisine, fusion. Friendly staff, food is not bad, price is average.
Food is of good quality. Friendly staff with good service. Food portion is smaller than expected.
Good taste and price reasonable
Great food quality . Smoked salmon was heavenly. Prices are not cheap and reflect the quality. Must try and judge for yourself
Excellent food. Superb
Good food. Chirashi is awesome. The carbonara udon eventhou sauce is ok.. tastes like Alfredo sauce but doesnt stick to the udon noodle.. sushi sets are all good too...
Food not bad but too few selections
Good quality, delicious food and friendly staff
Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. If you get a chance, you need to try their freshly made sushi. The sushi master is very detail oriented and professional. I personally love the sushi he makes, especially the Anago, Hanachi and Ikura. He often recommends whats best for the day and is able to make off the menu sushis. The staff are friendly and the kitchen+restaurant looks clean and tidy. Food from the back kitchen is amazing, one of my favourites is their Kakuni Don (slow braised pork belly).Excellent food, enviroment and staff. Will be back to dine here again.
Deliciously made Sushi and don dishes. One of the best around this region..
