Earlier HMT building/ office, given to IT dept now. Many similar HMT building in Bengaluru. Parking is available. Enquiry desk is on ground floor. Staff members are helpful and a quick talk with them reduces the initial fear of IT dept.

Assessment officers sit in 6th floor. Check the AO for your company. And documents submission counter is on 3rd floor. Write a letter about whats the issue and take a photocopy of the letter which will serve as acknowledgemnt for the docs you submotted. Otherwise u may have to walk 1km to get a photocopy, at the counter dey ask for a photocopy. Alphabetically comapnies are divided into different wards. Some officers are very helpful. But some officers especially lady officers r lethargic and doesnt want to help you r answer your questions at all. They dont even look at your face and talk. They keep a face which says why d hell u r here I dont want to talk to u,Get out of my damn office.

Does not look like a govt office at all. Very brightly lit, well marked offices and professional looking office. However the working and staff attitude at reception and clerical should be more welcome and system to meet officials more easy. No instructions any where.

One of the oldest building is HMT BHAVAN, it was originally built to sell HMT products like HMT watches.Now in HMT Bhavan, Income Tax Department office is functioning along with many other government offices.HMT Bhavan is located on the Bellary Road near the mekhri circle signal.Parking for vehicle inside the building premises is available but during peak hours its difficult to find a space to park the vehicle.

If u hav any work with income tax dept, do carry all the supporting documents properly. If u have all docs, nobody will dismiss ur claim, earlier it was pathetic, now improved a lot.
