Mysore Lancers were great warriors whose contribution during world war is notable. Yet after independence government did not retain a regiment which had a deep history related to Karnataka . Mysore Lancers were royal warriors of erstwhile Mysore Kingdom. Mysore people were great warriors. Independent India has under utilised the services of the Patriots from Karnataka . Why discriminate people of Karnataka, why our pride Mysore Lancers a decorated regiment dissolved after independence. Re establish this regiment
A memorial to the service of the Mysore Lancers at Haifa, in 1918, during World War I. A memorial service is still held every year at Haifa, Israel in appreciation of the services of the Indian Cavalry Forces of the erstwhile Royal States of Mysore & Jodhpur.
