Review №3

This is very old temple build during cholas period. There are 5 Shiva lingam, believed to be built during the visit of Pancha Pandavas. Their names are.. Yudhishthira ,Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahadeva. They visited this place for taking rest . Hence the name ivarakandapura meaning the place which saw 5 people. ( Ivara = group of five people, Kanda = seen , Pura = place. )We can see 4 Shiva lingam close to each other but the other one is little far , this is because Bhima while coming the Pooja had started and the place where Bhima stood the lingam was made in the place where Bhima stood.
