While scouting for bar/restaurants in electronic city to meet with friends, we decided to visit the ‘What the Ale?!’We were pleasantly rewarded - all staff were polite and helpful.Spoken good English and knowledgeable about the menu and brewery. Shout out to Abin who was great host!Ambiance was great and interior was super with a big screen for sports enthusiasts! For those wanting a romantic setting, the open air top was super for these monsoon evenings.We only had hefeweizen (beer) and some of the bar nibbles - which were all yum. Their desert menu is also really nice, a little small portions, but sufficient for a sweet ending to your meal.We were only disappointed not to be able to try (they offer testers for under Rs70) some of the beers and ciders advertised, as they didn’t have any stock.Overall we do recommend a visit for date night or with friends!

What an ambiance. Absolutely superb.Located on the roof top of a building. The place is a great surprise. They have so much space and a huge bar. They also have a woodfired oven for pizza and an open dessert counter. Which is awesome.Their food is tasty and reasonable. The staff are well trained and prices are great.Dont miss the display of desserts at the entrance.

Recently visited this place. In terms of ambience it has cool green vibes fully ventilated. It has big open seating area which is good for covid times. Some dishes are really good like pizza, nachos. And very tasty sabzi and roti. Especially there naans really crispy ones.Over i would say there is scope for cleanliness and the turn over time of order.Other wise this place is so good.

Nice place good food with great service.Matka Biryani was just yum. The dessert hot chocolate brownie with vanilla ice-cream was also great. Must try dessert Russian Brulle was also great in chef which was beautifully done at our table by the lady chef.

Good place to hangout with friends and family. I could not give 5 star because I had little bad experience. I waited for approx 30 mins to get my food. It is not just for me, While I was there I saw the same happen to the other table as well. I think hotel management should look upon this late and sure this doesnt happen again to any other customer.

A nice place located near the Brand factory,neeladri road,electronic city phase 1.its having 3 type of sitting area,the ground floor is having big floor and a bar counter along with.the decoration is good.on the upper floor you can see a live pizza counter where wood fired pizzas are making. Adjacent to this counter there is a sitting area consisting of tables and sofas/chairs for big family and couples.along with this closed sitting area,in the same floor there is a great roof top sitting area.the food is great and the mocktails are also good.didnt tried their beer but it seems to be good.the staffs are good but the service is bit slow.

Lovely ambience and great food. Although prices are on the higher side, the portion quantity and the taste of the food in What the Ale is simply great. Their beer is also very good, as are the cocktails. We go there very often. Theres happy hours all day from Monday to Wednesday and from 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Friday to Sunday. The last time I went for a date, we ordered two cocktails, 2+1 happy hours beer, and a non-veg platter, and our total bill was Rs. 4991.

Quite a nice place this. Spread out over 3 floors, it has a massive and spacious seating area with one portion open air on the terrace. Bangalores fantastic weather makes this open air area the place to be, had live music playing which further enhanced the ambience of the place.On the table we had a WTA Nanya Chicken, (FYI: Their menu has several dishes starting with the prefix WTA, it just stands for What The Ale) glazed Amritsari Prawns and garlic fired chicken as appetizers. The appetizers were quite tasty with a special mention of the prawns, they were fantastic.We also ordered a couple of WTA crispy chicken burgers and their burger is one of the best Ive ever had, ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! they have cheese dripping from the chicken patty which just gives the burger a mind blowing taste.Service was fine with nothing to report of as such.Would surely recommend visiting this place, specially for the burger.

I am giving 2 stars for their late service. Everything is good about these guyz, food is tasty, ambience is good... Spacious.. staff very friendlyBUTBUT ...Their service is exceptionally slow. And I am not saying this with just one visit... I have been here miltiple times and everytime these are slow, it happes even when are not even half full.. And thats why I call them exceptionally slow.I have stopped going their now. I would rather go to other places. ... Electronic city is full of good restaurants..

A quiet ambience with average background music, uncomfortable seats with enormous pricing when compared to other decent pubs with nominal rates. Crafted beers @99 is just for the first pint. Unfortunately I was served a foul chicken and immediately replaced without any debates. Average expense for a couple should cost around 2500 including beers and just starters.

Long wait for the food will ruin your dining experience better visit on weekdays not recommended on weekends..

Visited this place after we moved in to E-city its a super place to chill with family, friends or singles i came in here with family and met this guy thrupti who helped us to find the right place to dine as i had a 2 year old son and he even helped us with food menu,drink and told us about the offer he is the man to meet when you guys visit this place what the ale(electronic city)

Good Brew Pub, ample seating areas they have and good thing is smoking zone is on next level so no issue to non smokers, Beers and drinks were good, however they need to work hard on their food, none of the food tasted great, specially chicken wings tasted very bad. We had more then 12 starters only few we liked..Staffs were good, liked their behaviour and etiquette... smile was always on their faces... overall I enjoyed the night.Guys improve the music taste it wasn’t in sync with the aura...

We had a lovely experience at What the Ale on a Friday night. It helps that they have a variety of seating - indoors and outdoors. They follow all covid protocols and seating is well spaced out. The new food menu has a nice spread andoptions to choose from. The service is prompt and efficient.

Newly opened Brewery at Electronic City, phase 2. The decor and ambiance is nicely done. Big open spaces, balanced design. The open seating is not suitable when the suns up.They have a limited food menu. Decent options for finger food, starters to accompany drinks.They seem to specialise or focus on Gourmet Food servings, versus going big on quantity, so plan accordingly. The drinks seem to be reasonably priced and they keep running some happy hours on drinks each day of the week.Believe it comes to life much better during the evening and nights.

Just an amazing place, especially on a Thursday when you can grab craft beers at 99 a glass. The beers are nice and special mention to our host Robert.

They serve Ale type of beer and flavoured beers, must try. Food options are limited but good taste. No wow factor. Overall good ambience. Although staff is highly cooperative, Biggestet let down is slow delivery of service and mix up of orders between tables. Minimum serve time for drink is 15-20 mins, may be too much compared to their peers.

Knowing the brewer and how he adapts, Im looking forward to to visiting again to try the beers after a while.Also, the glassware for the beer is a bit different from your usual offerings, and Im glad to see they do a 300 as well as 500 ml serve.Overall, a lovely venue with excellent potential, which gives the citizens of Electronics City more choice than theyve ever had!

Located in Neeladri road, above Brand Factory, this is a nice place for night outs.Navigation to the place was easy.Underground two wheeler parking is available.The place is spacious and is separated into 2 floors. The 1st floor houses the bar counter and (dance floor?). The 2nd floor is for dining and also has outdoor seating available.The highlight of the place is the lighting. Its way better than many places having a similar theme. Not too dark, not too bright.The starters were decent and so was the main course. The pricing is on the expensive side.All in all, its worth a visit if budget isnt a concern.

I came to this place with group of friends. This is vegetarian, non-veg restaurant. Their food is extra ordinary great. This is one of the best few restaurant in Bangalore. Ambience is good. Menu is avg; half of the bar snacks were not there. Out of stock 🙄. Beer glass was DIRTY. Not washed. Service was not even avg. I was a weekday and not even crowded, still the service guys had to be called several times to attend.

The atmosphere and aesthetics of the places are beyond par but I would definitely say that their Belgian wheat beer brew could have been better according to the standards they set. I hope that changes in the future.

Food menu was very limited very very expensive the portion are like portions of baby take four bites n its over. They took 1 hour to get beer and another 30 mins more for food. What the Ale is a brewery in electronic city that has a variety of delicious brewed beers and very tasty food. The decor is very classy and the staff very friendly and helpful.

If you are a beer/ale lover this is a perfect spot for you on this area, they have wide veriety of menu on liquor as well as food, i tried the Belgian Strong Beer and American pale ale, both were good enough to come back here again. The customer service and ambience is too cool, Mr. Dillidao was very helpful in terms of introducing their offers and new menu items and also they play sports, mostly football matches which is an added advantage for sports enthusiasts. Dont know if its happening place coz i was there on a week day were crowd were less.

What the Ale is not just another micro brewery in town, instead they have a twist to everything. They love their beer and are really passionate about it. Thats why they make the blend of each beer in their own way. They give the beers a desi tadka by adding spices like cinnamon and cardamom. They have a wide range of their signature beers, so there is something for every taste bud!. One of the best served beers were Heffeweizen and Dunkenweizen. There were a range of cocktails and mocktails they offered like Penne River, 7 Th State, Burren Fame. But the one which took me back to my childhood was The Mango Daisy which had an amazing mango flavour, and was refreshing to the soul. Another highlight of the night was the ambience. The place had an amazing interior which was planned in order to maximize the seating without compromising with the amazing decor. They had balcony as well as rooftop seating which will totally help you get the perfect spot for yourself. Moving to starters, we had some lip smacking chicken tart shells having butter chicken in the shells. The crispy and creamy combo was simply amazing. The Garlic fried chicken and Amritsari tawa fish is definitely something to go for. Tandoori momos is something new they introduced in their menu which is extremely popular in North India. Going on to the veg starters they served cocktail samosas and veg spring rolls which were delicious. For the highlight they served their speciality Mutton rogan Josh which was so juicy that it just melted in the mouth. For veg the paneer butter masala with garlic naan was sumptuous. The garlic naan really complimented the creamy texture of the paneer and were great together. A meal is not complete without a dessert, and the Rasmalai just proved it right. Had an amazing time at What the Ale and looking forward to visit them again really soon. Theyll be launching a new menu soon with even wider variety to choose from..... cant wait for it!!

The food section is very bad, except the chicken, most of them did not taste good. There is no paneer in the buffet menu. The gobi manchurian was slightly burnt and not tasty.Fish curry was okay, starters having potatoes were not properly boiled in the inside.Icecream vanilla flavour is the only one available.Although I could see many varieties of drinks, and as I havent had them, could not tell anything about them. Place is good. Better placed for night. The place having glass top is not good during afternoon (its too hot to sit outside). No worries as there are indoor seating available. Open glass top area is best suited for night and the lovely breeze would help in relaxing.
