Awesome place to visit for viewing plays. Prabath Auditoriums is an initiative to bring various state-of-the-art performance spaces under one roof while creating beautiful cosmoses for artists to connect with their audience. It intends to provide an engaging platform for young artists and hopes to cultivate the wondrous culture of performing arts.
Very good place to arrange events
This is a small cozy neighborhood theater.Entrance is obscure and is not on a thoroughfare and parking cannot accommodate more than 4 cars. of course you can park on the road.A decent 250 +seater including 60 odd seats in the balcony. For the organisers/performers ; as there are no aisles on either side of gallery , movement movement is a big challenge as one has to exit the building and use performers entrance from a couple of paces down the road or obstruct the audience and use the stairs on either side of stage***** NO WHEELCHAIR ACCESS *****Some chairs in balcony are broken.lighting is very average with low quality led and spot lightsSound equipments are better than lighting though.easy choice for a sub 200 seater
Theater is good, but problem is that if we sit on balcony then you cannot see the play properly. And the seats are very congested at top. someone was abt to fall when walking on it. Parking is limited, better to take two wheeler. As you see when we sat on balcony (becoz we were late) we see this view which is not so great.Overall go early sit down .. enjoy show
Superb venue but they have to maintain the floor properly... Compact auditorium with lovely ambience.
Very nice place
Loved the ambiance and the dramas conducted. Actual theater seatings.
Peaceful and calm environment. Its a great place to just spend time as well. Even the theatre is good. They have washrooms, and staff are very humble. Parking is a bit of a problem if its crowded. Any time of the day - you can find shade and coolness. Its ideal for spending a great evening - spend some time around sunset, and then have some hot and spicy chats in the surrounding area and get back to home by night.
If one have audience count 200 - 350 then this is the right place for their stage activity. The theater acoustics is very good, the entry point will be confusing for the people who are coming here by vehicle.
Its a place convenient to stage plays. Has a seating capacity of around 300. But of late maintenance is absent. Lots of seats have broken backrests..Even tho there is parking space available only for about 8 small cars parking is adequate since it has two approach entrances, and cars can be parked on the road sides n they r safe. About 30 bikes can be parked. Its not an Ac theatre.
Prabhath KH kalasoudha is an auditorium in Basavanagudi which regularly hosts Kannada plays. It is located in a quaint neighbourhood with houses surrounding the auditorium. Me and my friends went to catch a play called Beg Borrow Aliya a few days back and the price of the ticket was Rs 100 which is very reasonable. The seating arrangements inside is fairly comfortable with the auditorium being compact. The acoustics and lighting arrangements are also very good. Overall we had a good time and the play also was very funny. If you are in this neighbourhood do try to catch a play here.
Pretty good auditorium. Well maintained. But it doesnt have a numbered seating system. So even if you have booked seats, youll have to join the queue early to get decent seats.
Good auditorium. Visited here few times, seating are good. Stage viewing angle is good. Sound is good. Well maintained. It is bit difficult to find for those who visit for the first time. Overall had a good experience visiting here.
Its a medium sized auditorium that puts on a lot of shows and performances. The surroundings are beautiful. The only draw back is the seating. It is average at best. And once a tripod is set up, theres no way to move around and get into your row.
Its a nice place, usually full during evening shows and weekends, the seating arrangements are nice and the plays are also really good. Came here for two plays Mind you and suddenaagi satthodre, both plays were good, comic , and good food for thought. The road that leads to this is a really narrow uphill one, and if the parking is full at the top then the car has to be parked below and you have to walk upstairs.
It is an amazing theatre for plays. The place is spacious & it has a nice balcony also. The seating is great. Stage, sound effect & lighting is good. There are neatly maintained washrooms. The only drawback is there is no proper parking space. Overall it is a great place.
Great theatre in the city centre. Atmosphere is serene with a temple by the side. Parking space is limited.
Good place for theatrical performances in the locality. However few things to be addressed are;1. Broken chairs2. Toilets3. Cleaner mirrors in the green room too will be a great addition
Medium capacity theatre, seats are comfortable now after the change in ownership. stage is wider than most other, though the quality can be improved. need to provide provision for lights behind the cyclorama.the new led lights are really helpful in certain scenarios, sound is good.recommended theatre if one is familiar with the area.
Nice place.. sound system Could be better.. otherwise perfect place for all cultural activities
Good seating space, sound system and air circulation. Attended the Pravara group drama here. Ticket cost 100Rs. There is parking area nearby
A good place to visit.... Nice cultural programs will go on on schedule... Play park is available for kids
They have to improve on their sound system.. not technically prepared.. place is good.. needs maintenance
Top floor seat arrangement near to front of balcony.... There should be some light so that people avoid getting hurt. Recently I was there seating at the front row and found many people getting hurt because the stair is not visible.
Today, this place requires an urgent upgrade in terms of basic amenities to promote good theatre experience. Chairs with broken recliners. Chairs with noisy recliners. Plenty mosquitoes. Poor ventilation when houseful. Broken faucets in mens toilet. Stinking parking place with garbage pickup autos filled with garbage and ravaged by dogs. No backup power during power failure. Poor street lights on the approach path. Guess all this inconvenience seems to be a reality drama one should experience to watch fantastic plays here. Why is the infrastructure suffering in spite of revenue generated? Inviting the concerned authorities to walk by the stinking garbage pickup autos parked along the approach road to watch an evening play here and experience the unpleasant reality. Its sad to see the epicentre of Kannada theatre in this condition.
Its a nice place with devine blessing of lord Rama and Anjaneya. KH kalasoudha is very good for small events with crowd under 150 headcount. Insider the beautiful a d well maintained park allows you to inhale pure air and away from all your stress and pollution
Good place to watch plays. Seats are very comfortable. Friendly and disciplined staff. Surrounding ambience is too good to relax.
A very comfortable place to watch the drama... The auditorium is well equipped.... The day I visited, there was confusion while entering the hall because they dont have seat numbers and the first come first served was not at all followed.... It was like a BTS bus rush as there is no queue followed... Hope they do something about it.... A little disappointed by that...
It awesome place spend some valuable time of your life, its nice ambience to watch plays
* A great audi for performing arts*Aucostically designed for a clear and crisp hearing*Lighting arrangements are at par compared to other Audis around.* It has provision for Comfortable seating. Numbering is not done though* Its surrounded by lush green garden of famous ramanjaneya swami temple* Cafeteria is NOT available* Parking space is open and free (sometimes people haphazardly park two wheelers management should take care of this )
Its a little above average theatrical for performing arts. Pretty descent place..
Lights and sound with good hall capacity. There were few disturbances but overall very nice.
I had visited first time for this Prabhath KH kalasoudha. It was a good experience might be every weekends shows will be there. They already booked for their slot. Go with family enjoy the shows.
Its an average theatre bit old and relatively less maintained, the cushion seat sqeeques creating disturbances in the middle of the show, lighting is good. Sound quality is fine as well
The Hall is good and is located amidst a park. However, it is not ideal for watching dramas/skits. The seating does not angle adequately.
Beautiful kalasoudha situated on Ramanjaneya hill. Good place for cultural activities.
Located in a easily accessible place and an awesome crowd who join u to cherish the plays. Seats could have been better and better view from balcony to relish the acts and dialogues.
It is decent place. Has parking facilities. The stage is good, green rooms are fine.
Good auditorium and facilities, though a bit small.Ezcellwnt Kannada Drama today called Dinky Bala.Always makes me wonder why people go to multiplex and pay for exorbitant tickets instead of encouraging local talent at much lower cost and having a great time
Auditorium is excellent. Working AC. Cushioned chairs with armrest. Balcony is excellent too , however some might face the balcony bars obstructing stage view. Limited parking facility.
Its not a very big auditorium but have a comfortable space and seats
At hanumanta gudda, nice organisation promoting art and cultural activities
A nice, quiet, cozy, compact theater in our neighborhood. Decent facilities and cultured audience.
Auditorium lights, sounds are good. Toilets needs to be well maintained. Seats inside the auditorium needs to be rechecked, some of the recliners need replacement. Drinking water facility should be made available at the entrance.
The theater is well maintainedWith a good lighting systemAnd sufficiant place for drama, and skitsThus littile bit confuse route for the main gate,The other stuffs are awesome.Audians can view from balcony also which gives a big theater feeling.and amazing SOUND systems.Should provide more INDICATIONS(route option) for entrance for the theater.tottaly worth of money😊
Nice place to visit. Neatly managed auditorium. Only con is its tough to find the place as it is located in fully residential area
Seating is good. Perfect place for drama and school functions. Lighting is also nice. Only problem is with the approach road which is narrow and the parking is almost non existent. Anyhow it is well connected by BMTC.
Auditorium is good. Restrooms are not maintained. Parking is available in front of the auditorium, but should be familiar with the area else you park far off and climb almost 50+ steps up and 20 steps down to reach the auditorium
Gd place for recreation, wth d capacity f 300 seats ,stage s renovated ..enjoyed d comedy showBeechi House by Rajendra karanth, reputed director cum artist..😂👍🙏
Hard to find the location.Otherwise its fine I guess..Oly once I had been to this place..Probably next time wen I go I can write a proper review on it..
Happening place for one who likes plays and art...some or the other good events happens here most of the time
Good one in hanumantha nagar area, well maintained, good for functions like dance, musical programs, good stage, located within the ramanjaneya hill temple, nice place
Theatre is good. Poor maintenance of toilets. Need to focus in cleanliness. Lightning and audio is good. They have snack corner where u can get tea, coffee and french fries. Food is not allowed inside the theatre.
One of the best places Ive visited. All the plays Ive watched have been a good experience. Especially when kids played ilyadanna. Love this place.
I think the seating needs to be repaired. We can hear the sound whenever someone even he turns a bit. Everything else is good
Its a beautiful place . Visited for madanotsava which was a beautiful festival of art in itself.
Very good weekend place to watch dramas plays with friends, we can meet lot of amateur drama artists here.
Nice location. But not much of AC effect in hall, can be improved
Nice place located in a peaceful area. Its on top of small hill with good green cover.
The theatre is very good. They put up very good shows which is worth watching. They currently have shows like Pukatte Salahe, Ooru Suttaru Hanumappa Horage, Bechi Plays etc.
Its a very friendly place .it has very beautiful Park beside of it.
This theatre presents simple yet influencing plays. The audi is big, nice seats, great audio and lightings..I visit at least once every month with family and friends.. The plays are much better than watching movies, worth the time spent.!
Good place for family n childrenIts lovely place for people like dramas
This is a very comfortable and cozy theatre and is best to enjoy an evening of shows. The seats are comfortable and the place is air conditioned. It accommodates nearly 260 people.
Best place to conduct any event. Spacious, neat and clean, located at the centre of the city.Car parking has less space and if we are late, we have to park the vehicle far and walk.
Very nice and spacious stage.. But seeing space is less for marriages an all.
No shows happening right now.
Infrastructure and the theatre is good and spacious. But lacks maintenance. The chairs are broken, AC was not working when I last visited. The smell was suffocating with our ventilation and ac when the theatre was full.
This kalasoudha has 200 to 400 seats capacity. Well maintained and ambience is very good.
