I must say that this place serves the best coastal Mangalorean food in Bangalore. The ambience is nice - Its a blend of interiors of a Karnataka house (Chavadi) and a Cafe. People are very friendly here too.

The ambience is very good. Great place for eating- drinking. They have a mini library for book lovers ( but post Corona no one seemed to touch any of them), then there is an art wall for the artists. You can take a canvas and paint your imagination. The decor is very raw and organic ( I dont know if these words make sense 😂). Jute and glass light lamps and earthen pot holders for knives, forks and tissues. It is a terrace place so its windy and nice. Lets talk about food , speciality is mangalorean food. But there are other Karnataka cuisines available too.Different zones specific delicacies. Then there are other options too like pasta- pizza etc. Conclusively the place is great to visit and I would love to visit again and again and again.☺️

Another great day lunch at Chavadi, this place always excites me every visit. I make sure to order new dish every visit, except beer :). Due to pendamic the menu was limited but of good quality to satisfy a foody like me. I go by taste not by the look but Chavadi exceeds in both, great presentation and equally tasty. Keep it up. In south bangalore I would say one must visit this place before going to any 3 or 5 star place believe me you will not be disappointed.

Staff is pathetic. Took ages for starters and main course to be served. The waiter did not respond to anything you say. They also dont serve food, you need to do it yourselves. Menu is very limited to 6 items per course. Also quantity is very less and can serve only 1 adult and a child. Ambience is average and when we shared the feedback to the restaurant guy he responded sarcastically and said Thanks for the compliment which was really the weirdest thing i have experienced in any place so far. Overall a disgusting place. If you want to burn money you can go. Else a really bad place to spoil your taste and stomach.Giving 1 rating since it doesnt allow me to give zero.THIS PLACE IS NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL FOR FAMILY OR FRIENDS.

Its not just a regular eatery, its a community meeting point to enjoy some authentic native foods. Every corner of this place has its own story to tell. Some wall is showcasing their contribution towards our society & the other one is showcasing an intense connection with the guests and their families. One can visit this place to hangout or just to read a book in a cozy rooftop corner. The enire place is open, extensive and divided into few segments. Also, this place has the arrangement to organize cultural programme for a small group of people. The entire rooftop area is very thoughtfully decorated. Theyve used ladders, jute ropes, bamboo pieces & plants which looks very earthy. They have a separate segment called Native Kitchen and the uniqueness of this particular segment is to serve authentic flavours of native places. To deliver this authentication they follow some process like getting few raw ingredients directly from those native locations, even the entire cooking is being done on wood fire with hand grounded spices. Also, they dont use any freezer to store. Each and every dish served has its own distinctive flavour.Specially I liked the Paneer ghee roast, Neer dosa with Chicken gassi, Usli platter, Mandakki.Even, they serves few Italian dishes as well like Veg overloaded pizza, Veg & Chicken Lasagna. But I like the drinks most. Always heard a lot about this place and finally got a chance to drop down here with a brunch of friends. Chavdi has come up with their new menu which is extremely mouth watering and all the materials are procured from place of origin of dishes. Such as Pepper & Tamarind from Sakleshpur, cmoconuts from Udupi, Sawal malawani masala from Rajasthan and Gun powder from Guntur. The place is located on 4th floor and has a wonderful decor with a comfortable seating area. They do have different walls to put up paintings, pictures and a place to put a wish lock with you partner.😍We started with ordering Chicken Gheeroast, Prawns Koliwada, Nargis Mandakki, Flattened rice with spice mix, Bondas kayimunchi, Paneer Gheeroast, Seer fish Tawa fry in starters. All the items were freshly made and served to table on time. The best part is for making the dishes, they use ancient techniques like Wildfire Kitchen, Stone Grinding and many more which enhances the taste of food. Also, most of the items were served in a clay pot. Chicken Ghee Roast & Panner Ghee Roast were made to perfection and the flavour of ghee was coming out really well. Prawns were deep fried, served with green chutney went really well. Flattened Rice with Spice Mix was something which I really loved. It can be used as a side with any cocktail. In main course, we ordered coorgi Chicken curry, Marvanthe Prawns curry with appam and neer dosa. The curries were really good and the pieces of chicken were very juicy. In prawns curry, the masala was really good and went well with appam. In desserts, we had Jack Fruit Kulfi. This is something which I had for the first time and it was amazing. It comes in a earthen cup which makes it more delicious. Do try this out on your visit. This place also serves some amazing cocktails. I personally loved their Pan cocktail and would recommend to try it.Apart from food & drinks, the place has an amazing staff and service is top notch. I really loved it and would highly recommend to visit them if you are in and around Bannerghata.Looking forward to drop down soon again 😊

The reviews of this place are absolutely misleading because it is not Chavadi anymore. It is Cobaja, a manglorean restaurant. They are clever to still use the old name and slowly bank on it. The quantity and food portion is not enough at all and the prices of each dish are about 350 Rs approximately which is enough for one person only. So if two people go to dinner you need 1 starter atleast plus two main course dishes and then they have the worst lacha paratha you can imagine. So you end up spending 1200 Rs atleast for a food that will not be filling/tasty. The service is below standard. The waiters take forever in serving. The management is arrogant and does not even listen to feedback and argues. All in all, if you have no place open in bangalore you should still eat at home than going here. If you have too much money to waste, this is the right place for you however you can make better use of your money. The google menu is different than what they serve. Be careful, good ambience is nothing if the food is good enough to spoil your mood .

The management is extremely rude and impolite and told us that Cobaja is upcoming restaurant but the paper mats of Cobaja were placed which claimed to be a mangalorean restaurant. No options for vegetarian. Quantity is very less, per serving is for one person only. 95 percent food is prepared in coconut. Google shows different menu than what actually is shown. Ghee Roast Paneer was less than handfull. Pasta was the worst pasta I have eaten in my life. Service took forever. And food is sub standard. Ended up spending 6700 INR for a very bad food and service. Will not recommend at all.Would not have given even one star to them.

We been to this place for Team Dinner and it was one of that the best decision we have made. This place is famous for rooftop ambiance, lovely music, great crowd, delicious food, lovely sun set view and awesome service.Variety of continental dishes available for both vegetarian and non vegetarian folks.Price is little bit on higher side but it’s worth every penny considering food quality, taste and ambience.A must visit place with friends and family.

Not worth the price and even the food was bad. The inside section of restaurant is closed so yes it is roof top but if it rains you sit in the rain then. Misleading marketing strategy adopted by restaurant to pull the crowd by the name of Chawadi but it is Cobaja and not Chawdi. If you are a fan of Mangalorean food maybe this is the place for you but even that considered the food portion was extremely less and food was not good at all.

Chavadi, A rooftop cafe located near IIM-B. It has wonderful ambiance, surrounded by trees hence shade and breeze throughout. It is in a quite and calm place away from buzzing Bangalore traffic, hence the time spent here is peaceful.Food and drinks are amazing. The Fish cake is what i highly recommend, it is served with lemon butter sauce, although its lacks spices, but it tastes really delightful. They serve wood fire pizza, tried tandoori chicken pizza and pepperonata pizza loved the toppings and flavors. This places again is more than just a restaurant, they organize various events and the walls of this place is filled with memories of customers that visit this place.

Chavadi is a rooftop restaurant and bar located on Sir MV Road, just 400m off from Bannerghatta main road. a romantic place with lovely ambiance surrounded by lush of greenery. the landscape of this restaurant is really mesmerizing, they have effectively utilized every inch of the floor and turned into a gem of a place. theres a mini bar with bar stools and then standard wooden tables and seating. its an open air atmosphere. theres also a standard size brick oven where they make fresh wood fired pizzas. this place can easily accommodate large crowd.Food menu is continental and with desi touch, there are few oriental dishes as well. food menu is categorized into soups and salads, starters, main course, sizzlers, pasta & risotto, wood fired pizza, burgers, sandwiches, eggs, desserts and beverages and the bar menu is a standard drinks menu with bunch of thirst quenching cocktails & signature drinks listing along with some regular brands.excellent service, customer friendly, the food presentation was fantastic quick delivery of items, a must visit place for friendly hangouts, family and couples. a romantic place for couples. the experience is an absolute worth of a visit here for anyone.

Chavadi being a place close to our house we have visited frequently over the years. This time we had an appalling experience where the restaurant manager insulted my sister for no apparent reason. We werent seated at the usual tables even though it had stopped raining but when expressed we want to sit where we choose they denied us seating only cos it would have taken 20 seconds to dry/clean it up. The entire space was empty at the time with no customers sitting outside. After dining we saw many customers getting seated where we wanted to sit. Upon mentioning this to the manager he told us directed at my sister – “It’s basic sense well sit people where they want as it stopped raining”. Who questions customers ‘sense’ or’ ‘basic sense’, who berates the customers with snarky comments. When confronted he took a long time to blurt a fake apology which didn’t feel heartfelt at all.Go here if you want your woman/girl insulted cos of her gender cos the thug looking restaurant manager lacks all basic etiquettes and clearly outta his senses that he thinks he can get away telling off a woman/girl.Never visiting this place and certainly telling everybody I care not to go here just to be told off by their restaurant manager. Somebody teach this man how to handle customers!!!Food: Their LIT for what they charge wasn’t great as it was totally off balance and their sweet and salt syrup was heavy on the sweeter side. Their jalapeno margarita was decent. Phool gobi was great and garlic bread platter was edible. The penne pasta wasn’t anything great to write home about.

One of my most favourite place in Bangalore. It is on the 5th floor and everywhere you look there is just green. It is a terrace cafe and you can spend hours here. There is a library, a spice garden, you can paint, you can post letters, there is a love wall. You have to visit this place to feel the charm. The food is also very nice there is a mix cuisine and a fully running bar is available.

This place is great for some finger food and drinks. Sit back and relax and enjoy the open weather. Its surrounded by trees and theres an awesome breeze. Ive even seen a rainbow from here after a rain and it just made everything so much better. The drinks and food are averagely priced as per bar standards. One may like happy hours on certain drinks available from morning till afternoon. The service could however be improved. Theyre fast but its hard to get hold of staff to order something.

Or you can take home.. And I can even keep the spare ones in the shelf. So that others would read them.... There are multiple events keep happening and they come up with many innovative things....Like they have insulin plants/saplings which they gift it to every table.... And those saplings are grown in the restaurant itself.....🤩It has a capacity of more than 80 people and different seating options are available... So u can select as u prefer.... And trust me every corner is beautiful 😍.The staff is very courteous and service is also quick....There is a wide variety of selections in drinks....Cocktails were average...I loved NEERA cocktail... It is basically tender coconut water flavored with vodka, gin and some chef secret and it was Mild and soothing. 🤩.Hot chocolate was amazing 😍Starters are really good....Appam with veg curry I tried and it was very good....Wood fire pizza stole the show and they were amazing....Coming to desserts.. They surely have some amazing ones... Apple pie was baked info perfection the cheese crust was crispy and perfect and the pie was delicious...Tiramisu was one of the best I had since a long time 🤩. They have matka ice-cream and they are home made and tastes so good 😍😍.And the list goes on 😍U must visit this place for amazing experience with good food and beautiful ambience.#justbengaluru_things

Looking for a place which can uplift your mood instantly?? Want to enjoy the Yummy food along with a beautiful view?? Or looking out for a place to have a cup of hot chocolate while you read or work in peace?? Chavadi should be your perfect choice. Its a rooftop restaurant with lot of greenery around with both indoor and outdoor seating area. They have in house garden where you can even buy plants! The staff is friendly and helpful. Went here on a evening and loved the ambiance in the beautiful weather of Bangalore. They have launched a new menu with authentic Indian coastal food with lots of amazing dishes made from raw materials brought directly from their place of origin. They cook the dishes in clay cooking utensils and serve it in all mitti utensils giving you the vibes of nature friendly food. In starters, avalakki bath is amazing. It was light and good in flavours. In starters, paneer ghee roast was delicious. I had always seen non vegetarians relishing chicken ghee roast and the foodie me was delighted to find a vegetarian alternative for it. Watermelon mocktail was fresh and calming. Mushroom sukka was soft and had a rich coconut gravy. It was my first try of this dish and totally loved it. Wood fired pizza is something you should not miss to try here. In main course, appam with coconut stew was delicious. Their jackfruit kulfi was a perfect way to end the meal. If you love alcohol, do try their new quarter cocktail mixes. Litchi margarita was my favourite.

With Metro work going on in Namma Bengaluru, Bannerghatta roads traffic is next to horrible. I was looking for a rooftop restaurant around BG road which also served alcohol, and found this. It was for a meet-up of a bunch of friends, and found Chavadi as a suggestion. Took some effort to reach this place, thanks to our traffic. Trust me, the place was solace!Chavadi is a rooftop restaurant & bar, very close to IIM-B. We took the lift to the fourth floor, and were greeted by a wall filled with photos of its happy customers. As we entered, we chose the table which had shade and were ready to start ordering. Among the cocktails that we had, I loved the Jalapeno Margherita and Pan Mojito among others. For starters, spinach and Spring onion kebbah were delicious. I m drooling while I type this, remembering of that taste. My non vegetarian friends were of all praise for their prawns tempura. These guys use organic flour to make their pizzas, and I was all excited to have their pizzas. Had their veg pepperonata pizza, which was made fresh on their brikoven. By this time, I was full and so were my friends. We wanted to end with a few of their desserts. I loved the choco brownie sizzler & their apple pie. I did have a spoonful of their watermelon Ice cream from my friend and liked it.Now to summarise, the place is an amazing place to relax and grab a beer. The view which opens up to IIMs lush green gardens, is soothing. Food and service are great. I am definitely going to be a regular visitor to this place.
