Library is located to the left side of campus of Hosur road. Opposite neurobiology research centre. Library is for registered members only.

Good Facilities and collection of Books. ...in various sections. Reading room is spatious. But library seem little dark in there. Cloudy.....dusts adds up. . Summer would be horrible I feel

Best place to read and write.

Went there to search for particular journals for my thesis.. i was able to find the journal published before and after the year of what i was expecting.. very old journals are kept... Manually i searched.. i think they gonna damp all those.. not arranged..resst of the lib was well arranged..

The Library and Information Centre shifted to its new building in the year 1990. The Centre was upgraded as a National Neuroscience Information Centre (NNIC) with generous contribution from Department of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology and National Informatics Centre. Library and Information Center was started at the erstwhile All India Institute of Mental Health (AIIMH) in the year 1954, with an initial collection of 3775 volumes and subscription to 85 journals. The AIIMH and the erstwhile Mental Hospital of the Government of Karnataka were amalgamated to form NIMHANS in the year 1974.
