This place is usually crowded during lunch hours. However food is ok and pricing is a little on the higher side (for the quality of food). Service is quiet slow as well.For lunch try the chicken fry biryani, chicken meal and appam gravy.For snacks we tried chilli bajji and filter coffee. Both were over priced and did not taste that great.

Madurai canteen is a South Indian restaurant located on the ground floor of MFAR building in Manyata Tech Park. Ambience is decent, & food is ok. We had ordered South Indian vegetarian lunch & also other items such as veg biriyani, appam with egg gravy. The food in general was mediocre, but some specific items were good. We liked moru kolambu (kadi), saagu, & payasam (kheer). Buttermilk was great. Staff is good & hospitable. I requested for a cup of curd, which was provided with courtesy. Theres more that can be improved.

South Indian name but rude north / northeastern Indian staff. Though empty, they asked me to pick up my suitcase move to another table because I was alone.

Shabby at best. I walked in. Here, you are supposed pay upfront and take slip of your order. The waiter will serve it to your table. I went to take a slip and the person asked me go straight to table. I waited at the table for 5 minutes. Then a waiter came and asked for slip. As I didnt have one, he vanished. I went to the slip counter and he again asked me to go back to the table. Some kind of infinite loop it seemed. I just walked out.

Place is Cool. Food is super tasty. Especially coffee is love here. Music in background is pleasant and good

Just got a mutton biriyani parcel . They charge 288 but very less mutton , only 3 pieces and rice quality also poor. Worst of all , the mutton wasn’t cooked properly and was raw. Won’t recommend this place to others

Typical South Indian Eat out place. From Dosa to Biryani and chai with the blend of Tamil Nadu flavours . I tasted Egg dosa and the best part i liked was the sambar. It couldnt have been much better. All i feel is this is little expensive compared to the food they offer. Wheel chair accessable and ambient .

As it is recently opened, i suggested my team to try this place as I got feedback from one of my friend that food taste is good. Very less number of options in starters, still we ordered few items and thali for main course. All the starters was with gravy(roasted prawns, pepper chicken, mushroom)Taste was OK but one of my friend got vomit while eating and rest of us got stomach ache and bad stomach after midnight. Few members took sick leave.My suggestion please dont visit this place ever because it took 2 to 3 days to recover.

After reading the reviews I thought of Not stepping in. Despite all I stepped in. Not worth the money. They are just spoiling the name. The biriyani which they serve is not thindukal biriyani its normal dum biriyani. Only three small pieces of mutton in 310 rupees Mutton meal. Kindly dont even try. Its a total waste.

We got chicken meal today. 279 per meal. Food is cold and we felt like we are having veg meal because there was only small 2 chicken pieces. Butter milk was like drinking water. Menu says chicken fry but they gave us chicken leg fry which was merely bones Food quantity is very less. Finally they did not provide change of 14rs also. Do not try your lunch here if you are dam hungry.

The sole intention on this day to visit Madurai Canteen was to eat the famous Mutton Kari Dosa. Sure enough, ordered them and waited patiently for 15mins. When they came, it was pure disappointment just at the look at them. It looked more like a Dosa just sprinkled with a few Mutton pieces on them. The dosas tasted bad as well.Would probably be the last time visiting here for the dosas.

If you love briyani, please dont taste here. Cold briyani Old meat and half cooked mutton . If you tell the staff about it the answer is please share feedback in a book. Price is costlier than the best Briyani in Bangalore. 225 RS for Mutton briyani.

First time I visited this place, worst place, pathetic food quality, food prices are bit high when compare to other restaurants, and worst part is I visited with a team of 10 and all of them had stomach upset. Veg and Non veg bothIf there would have been half or none i would have given that.Team lunch 9 ppl, all 9 got food poisoning... not only chicken was old but mushroom also.Being in such a awesome place where food court on 2nd floor, we choosed Madurai for authentic south Indian food but ...We went on Monday so i guess they served us Sundays food...If you want to still try... try at your own risk..That too they have opened recently...Rates are too much but Quality and Quantity both are very bad...We tried so much restaurants in Manyata but never had such horrible experience ... as all teammates got affected...First experience is the last one...
