Food here is really good and tasty and has that homely kind of touch. However, I feel quantity is not proportional to the price. Quality is there, but quantity needs a major improvement. Cleanliness and hygiene here is good. 👍
Good but a little too pricy.
Very tasty, decent , definitely home made taste. Not expensive. No complaints.
Reasonably gud food. Have been going g there for years now. The serving quantity has dropped and prices have grown but it remains one of my first choices next to food at home. Has enough space. Not crowded mostly but no air conditioning. Limited parking is available.
Homely food using optimal oil and spices, neat and tidy place with a good sit out.Menu is extensive in terms of dry and gravy dishes and a variety of breads and flavoured rice.Cost is very competitive covering college goers and also working professionals.Accessible place but little difficult to locate for the first time but the food quality is worth the find me puzzle.
Good food and made fresh. We tried many items and all of them were good. Priced honestly for the portion size. Service and overall upkeep can be bettered but largely no complaints.
Good home food, delicious. Not much crowded. You can get jain food too
If you are looking for a good North Indian food (Punjabi Style) then this is go-to place. Food is prepared freshly based on the orders. I have been visiting this place for the past several years, I have not seen changes in the taste of food. They maintain the consistency. By the way food is available only during lunch time and on dinner timeNo breakfast is served here. Be ready to wait for 15 to 30 mins to get the food on the table.
Tasty food. Home like preparation. Quick service. Stays open till 1030 in the night
I went with a friend of mine. Service is pathetic - only one low paid staff serving all tables. Table was shaky throughout. No water served. No salad though, which typically served in any Punjabi mess. Atmosphere is like any other mess - operating out of the house / house parking area. Price is expensive like any other fine dining restaurant; for a mess which is located inside one corner not acceptable. Quantity / portion / size of the parathas are small - not at all worth the price what you pay and service what you get. We have to literally go inside twice to order our next dish. Aloo jeera, which was just boiled aloo and not even mixed properly with jeera. Gobi parathas size was so small! Finally we paid a high amount as bill and I never got the feeling of a stomach filled. When I gave the feedback, their attitude was like take it or leave it. Overall it was not worth for the price you pay.
I loved corn pulao here such a cute place and good food. Pleasent ambiance.
Very good authentic North Indian restaurant. Food is similar to a home made food and is pocket friendly. Dont expect this place to be a fancy place.
I had lassy only. It was good. With limited menu I hope they cook good what they cook
Nice food, but I gave 4 stars only because they stopped serve thali.
My earlier review with 4 Stars came down to 1 Star. If option of no Star I wud give no star.Without the Owner it’s a hell hole. The untrained, low pay scale staff there don’t have any customer satisfaction motto. The other day we ordered Food. The table was as usual shaky with 1 leg on its own. While he was keeping the Dal on the table it slipped from his hand and some portion of it fell on my official dress. He had no courtesy even to say sorry and offer assistance.Plus when we ordered Plain Paratha, the cook forgot to make.Pathetic service experience for the brand of owners who have keep such idiotic people as staff. It was my last experience with them.
The food was amazing here. Its pretty affordable too. The ambience is very homely! The large seating area ensures that the wait time for tables is almost always zero.
The owner is an arrogant B. I don’t understand these many reviews about the food. Food is jus below average, quantity is less, don’t talk about service or manners and it has got expensive people. And now the owner is gonna reply to this saying either “thank you or so?” Since I cant reply to your msg Mr. Owner. The reply come here In the review itself. You are not my uncle or any one that I know for me to find your restaurant randomly on google map and give a review. what I had felt visiting your place is what said. Second thing is keep that arrogance in your house, don’t show it in a place where you run business charging people. You and your kinda business is what needs to banned not the customer!!
One of the best north Indian food in banglore. Humble staff and good ambience
Food is basic, homely.
Pathetic serviceAll curries are equivalent to waterTakes a lot of time to prepareStaff behavior is very poorDenies to give bill receipt
We had a nice time over there..the roti was perfect.there server was very friendly..we love the food also...we like to visit again again ...keep up the good work....
Good food. Need to work on customer service
Staff is arrogant and doesnt knows how to behave with customers.
Bad, unhygienic good, cooked in terrible kitchen condition and for its quality its still expensive
It really does tastes like authentic home made food 😊
Good north Indian style meals that are like the food at home. The food is light, not too spicy and you can even eat here daily. Its quite popular with people whose workplaces are nearby.
Quality of the food is good, and place is very nice
The food is awesome and pricing is also moderate. You feel like you are eating at you home, both food and ambience wise
Good. if youre looking for food like home then recommend. Value for money.
The food was great to have. And Its look like a home food
Very homely place
I visit this place every other day for lunch. They have the perfect Aloo parathas and everything else is good.
I had daal roti combo and an aloe capsicum Paratha. It was good in taste as well as value
The owner of the place is arrogant af. Quality of food doesnt align with the prices. Seating is really bad, all the dust and pollution come directly in your plate while you eat. You will find everything from ants to cockroaches in your food and still cant expect any lesser price. The staff is dumb and so is the service. Please dont go.
I have ordered veg byriani and I got something similar to sambar rice. And the taste was also not that great.
Nice food in Indira Nagar at affordable price, especially when you want to have nice variety of paranthas
This is one of those places where you can find less spicy food close to home made north Indian taste. Value for money and pure veg experience are a plus.
Homely food but no card service or water bottle
So tasty
You will feel like eating at home. A quiet place in the evenings
Food is good but place is dirty and prices are high compared to the cleanliness
Home made foods was good. Lunch time would be the perfect time to visit.
Great food ... Very homely but the ambience was not good
Good vegetarian North Indian cuisine. Love the paratha and the lussy!
FANTASTIC!!! Thank you Sethji for preparing not so hot food I mean not spicy. Everyone enjoyed from 11 to 84 THANKS. But sadly the food quantity in your thali is much much lesser quantity compared to other thalis we generally order. It is not filling though you served a nice tasty yummy Aloo Ka Paratha. Maybe you can provide more rice or maybe extra chapatis or parathas, you can increase by Rs.10 maybe
Home food at a restaurant. Rare to find. Enjoy good North Indian dishes here.
My go to place for simple home made outside food.
Decent Home Food. Nothing too fancy. Quite affordable.
Good food, low cost.Service is slow. No ambience
Wow awesome food for all north indian foodies. Place is must visit for home made food specially Daal rice baigan bharta rajma etc.. loved every dish ..its veg restaurant
Rates are high and unhygienic atmosphere and serving people
For first few days, they served nice food. But now a days, they are not serving proper rotis. On weekends, thali wont be available.
Excellent home made food. Less oil in all their preparations. Tasty. Light.
Decent north indian meal in Indiranagar
Quantity of Gravy served in thali is less and I used to buy only Rotis from here which was also rudely cancelled by the owner saying he no longer gives only Rotis
Very nice place ,food and services are excellent
Homely North Indian meals and a variety of parathas. Good for an occasional meal from office.
Some time its good to eat but sometimes he cooks bad
Great if you are low on cash.Their Jeera Aloo is brilliant!Decor was average but not a surprise since it is a home converted to a restaurant!Quaint but nice!
Great parathas and combos. Ideal option to dine in for veg home made food feel.
Good home made food in normal price, not costly.
Quality food at a reasonable price
Nice home kind of food with affordable price
Tasty homemade food and decent ambience. Full marks for the food especially paratha and daal. Ambience is reasonably decent thats why four stars.
Rude and arrogant owner who doesnt respond politely. Even though food is okay the attitude doesnt feel welcoming at all!
Good place to eat however size/quantity of food is smaller/lesser but the prices are becoming higher and higher every time I drop by.
😮😢Most of my life has been in delhi and i have never eaten the north indian that they dilivered. I ordered dal tadka and their most popular(by swiggy) paneer makhanwala. Dal tadka not in any way a dal tadka. But it was gulpable. Paneer makhanwala was an utter dissapointnent. I expected something close to paneer makhni, but it was thick veg gravy with pieces of chopped carrots bean peas and 2-3 pieces of paneer. For the first time in my life i had tasted paneer and carrots in thick gravy.
First time I have visited Sethji for a lunch today and ordered Veg Biryani. After 20 minutes my food was served. You wouldnt believe that I never had a Biryani in a worst taste and color ever. So many variety of Biryanis we might come across like Hyderabadi, Mughal, Kerala, Chittinad, Ambur, Dum, etc... right? It was in dark orange color with heavy spiced rice. In my opinion it is not at all Biryani instead it is cup of colored rice with no taste. Sethji manager says it is north Indian style Biryani and in a day he get minimum 10 orders for the same. I couldnt understand is this the taste of north Indian Biryani? Would be great, if anyone clarifies the same. Not at all recommended for Biryani! Believe that other food items available here are good!
Worat food. You feel like eating soil sometimes
Good food. Turely North India style food. Prices are placed well
Taste just ok, poor service
Best place to eat home made food. Good for people who wants to eat food daily
Plesent place to eat, little bit costly, but like home made food
Not so good . The cook takes time to serve the dishes and the owner is also not so welcoming. There are better alternatives nearby places.
Small family owned restaurant. Seems like it is being run from someones own home - minimal but clean and comfortable seating in varandah and hall.Good food - tastes great, light on spices and oil.Very reasonably priced - we ordered parathas, roti and paneer veg for 3 people, costed ₹400.It is an old place - I saw it long back in 2007.. somehow that gives me confidence in a family owned restaurant :)
It was really like homely. Not spicy and all
Good home style ambiance
Nice good sethji home made food
Authentic north indian food. Serice, quality and taste are excellent.
Nice home made food.various options.prathas are good.so is boondi raita
Good, homemade, fresh food. Delicious....
Please include Pudina Chutney(Mint Chutney).Tastes best with the parathas
If you are bored eating out in restaurants, try this place for a change. The home made food here is tasty, and low on spice content. You have options for either thali (weekdays only), or a la carte. One of the few eateries of its kind in Indiranagar.
Food is OK. Service pathetic. Manager rude to customers. I placed order for 4 paranthas one of each type. Cost of a plate (2paranthas) was Rs. 80.But the manager charged me Rs 180. It should have been Rs 160.It was neither mentioned in the menu nor the waiter informed me that if you take a variety you will be charged extra. There was no point in arguing the manager as he was adamant. Mostly north indian people visit his place and they are taking advantage of being local.
Some days food is great.. some days its ok. Service is also minimal.
Awesome homemade food, delicious and simple too and a fun ambience..!!
Amazingly tasty food... that gives you a very homely feeling with very reasonable rates
Not good as earlier. Served food is cold. Not worth for money. Please mentain clean kitchen.
Good quality food with reasonable prices. Feels homely.
Good tasty home made food but price is little higher than what we pay in some other for same food
Sethi food is a delight for vegetarian north indian. ambience is good . only thing is that you find this place comfortably.we had 2 dinners over there.
No cleanliness. Always same taste
Really home-made food taste. Affordable and nice.
Good taste.Bachelors can consider this as their mess for regular visit.
I went for lunch, For Rs90, they gave 1 small cup watery veg gravy, 1 small cup watery dal, 1 small cup watery raitha, 2 small phulkas and 1 small cup rice. Below average food taste and miserable quantity...HOME MADE is just to mislead people. (only 3 more persons were there when i was having food)
Good home cooked food. Mostly north Indian dishes.
The food was decent(do mention to reduce the spice if you are not used to spicy food).
Authentic home made north Indian food ... Tastes just like home with, nice hot phulkas, dal and a familiar dry veg or gravy options ...
